One big aspect to this that is not mentioned is that the U.S is a very wealthy nation with most of the wealth concentrated in the hands of 1 percent who pay little taxes. The U.S has a GNP of over 46 Trillion dollars most of which belongs to the top who have done nothing for the little man but export jobs overseas while taking control of the government.

Raise taxes to Eisenhower era rates and the deficit is gone.
