on the extras on the dvd you find out that they were awlays meant for eachother and so they put the look they gave eachother at the very end ever to show they still have feelings for eachother. :)
@EliseDohring apparently they did end up together. The director or writers I forget said in an interview that their end game was a Love reunion but since the last season was 2 episodes short they were unable to get it but that they saw them getting together at the end. You can see it in the look they give each other after he beats the guy up for leaking the video of her. The look just says they are the only ones who get each other and Piz saw that look - so HA
