I don't know about installing it with the 4.0 firmware, but I updated to 4.0 after installing it without any problems or loss of data.

I have no problems with it. The Twilight hack doesn't work with 4.0 though so don't try it. I had the homebrew channel installed already when I upgraded to 4.0 and everything still works including SSB 64 that I installed with WAD manager.

i downloaded the homebrew, but it doesnt have any apps, its just a blue screen with the stupid bubbles

Well you either didn't put the applications in the right folder, or forgot to download them

Does you wii have to have the 3.4 system update in order to use the v.3.4 of the legend of zelda hack? Cause mine is still 3.3, it wont exactally let me update it it keeps giving me an error unfortudentally, even though my internet is fine.

It might be a different file format or Larger than 4 GB

How do you change the format to .v64 and how do you take the files out of the folders?

I don't know of any way to convert ROMS. You'll just have to find them in that format. Also I don't understand what you are talking about taking files out of folders.

You drag the whole private folder to the root of your SD card. This will overwrite any Wii data you had on the SD card so you will probably want back the card up to your system before doing that.

No you don't have to make a save file, the twilight hack is an altered Twilight Princess Save file so you just copy that from your SD card to you console's memory.
