Every singer that goes on this show has two songs to sing, the judges know this, if they spot someone with a good voice but the wrong song for their voice then the judges will tell them to sing their other song. Its happened a few times on this show

read my other comment; each contestant has 2 or 3 songs at bay. they go throuhg a filtering with producers who deem them if they can go through to the 3 judges in the audition. so obviously he sang well in front of them - and the judges knew he was good just the wrong song. hence the whole thing.. so its not staged.

You are the stupid jerk, if you listen to his interviews, he was told to bring two songs and be prepared to sing both if needed. YOu think this kid didn't prepare, hasn't been singing all his life to be ready for this moment. There's nothing fake about what he is doing up there on that stage. At least HE is out there living his dream, I say good for him.

the thing is; before they (the 3 judges) see them for audition - they go through the producers who will deem them worthy of getting the audition - so he obviously musta sang well in front of them therefore the 3 judges also knew that there was some potential; and each contestant has 3 songs that they can sing so yea..

If any of you were familiar with the audition procedures you'd know that you have to have 2-3 prepared songs ready for the judges. The technicians were ready to swap songs at a moments notice. The other judges arent supprised because Simon has done similar things frequently.
