samurai runs stock motor but with holley carb, has dana 44 rear (welded) 35 front (open) 5.38 gears, 33 boggers, after all that thrashing ended up breaking/bending rear springs- --- to much tork? four linking it as I speek , had samurai 10 years , it will not die***** owner driver,,,

Well watched the whole video now, I was thinking for some reason your explorer was black. Guess I was wrong on that one. Either way, I would honestly attempt to take my stock ex over those rocks with the 3.73 LS :D

Correct me if I am wrong rhauf, but does this guy have open diffs? It appears that he does. But either way, did you every try and take your explorer over it or was your ex even there? :D

i went up it a bunch of times, theres a partial clip towards the end of this video somewhere.

fwiw i bashed the frame and t-case skid plate on the explorer pretty hard going up it every time. thats with 6" lift and 37s.

I would tell the front was open because one wheel would pretty much stop turning. With L/S both will stay turning but the one with traction gets more power. Open diff sends all power to the tire with traction. Either way its a great video. Keep them coming so I can come back for more. Hopefully I'll have some uploaded later in the summer. A lot going on right now :(
