Decent track but anything 9th wonder is gonna sound good (love anything he did with murs and them), but in terms of lyricism, Kweli outshines everyone on that track. Buckshot has an akward flow to this off beat-ish track. Don't know if he wasnt feeling the track or what but I think he coulda done alot better. It really comes down to the type of image he's trying to project for himself. I'm not into the rappers these days wearing Jennifer Lopez shades acting all street.

Never really had an in to the east coast hip hop back then. I'm 26, however the fuck young that makes me I only got a taste of what was handed to me by my older friends back in the day wich happened to be alot more westcoast oldschool hip hop, like pharcyde and heiroglphics. The only east coastish underground I used to listen to back in the day was Tribe and...(and I know I'm gonna get flamed for this too) was some old ICP dog beats and The Great Milenko that I ordered in on release.

Think his style is still similar to how it used to be just adapted for a young crowd - I agree I prefer old to new style too. The oldskoolers just seem/sound uncomfortable on newskool tracks.

Buck is not mainstream, This is a throwback video, check out the history this guy. Not the most lyrically gifted, but a legend in the underground scene.
