I personally just dont like the chip set (well u said something with chip set, was it the wrong one?) and I think village could have some mapping improvement. plz dont take this as an insult. time to change to XP for me, I was always using 2000. I can do lightmaps but the shadow thing with your char was really cool, gotto check that out. anyway keep up the work, Ill be playing it

I think you do a good job on developing the main hero's personality. I believe you got your story line idea from Persona. It's very similar, but thats not a bad thing. The story line in my game is very similar to at least 4 different RPG's, so I wouldn't judge on that. Good job ^^

wow ^_^ you got a good story going on there. the forshadowing and everything is perfect. starting out with the towns destruction then starting the game when its still peacefull creates a sense of doom in the player. and talking to the townspeople revals alot about the main charictor and his personality but not to much. oh his brother died we wonder how. he's takeing care of his mother. is it becuse its all he has left or is he a just a nice guy. vary good stuff here ^_^

I'm making a game on the same platform...and I'd really like to know, how you have make the shadow of the player...it is a great effect and i have seen that shadow change its position changing the light's direction. very nice...is it by a script??or event

The game is awesome but... The title screen is a simple one. You just made three lense flares in Adobe PS. But the text I guess it's made in PS to. (The title screen is still better the my title screen)

I don't think you should make that NPC say "I hope The Shadow never comes here" because that kinda gives it away to the player and it ruins the suspense. Just a suggestion for ya! ;)

The mapping looks great and the entire introduction is impressive.

The plot is very cliché, but still a good story. It should not be a problem for you, as clichés will turn out fine as long as you can create new elements and surprised through the characters and game world.

Nope, go to rpg-palace . com and check out Inq's tilesets. There is an indoor, outdoor, and world map tileset that all match, and they're beautifully done.

They're MASSIVE, too.

Quite a while. Probably at least 3-6 months. I work on every minuscule detail. I also revise my script several times over and make changes.

I also work on in-depth character development for each character.

The introduction was actually made with NO extra scripts at all. The fading text and appearing letters, that is. All done with standard RPG Maker XP Events.

I will be uploading a tutorial on how to do this in a few days or so, as soon as I can find the adapter for my microphone xD
