  • Mr Smith?

  • when you perform this form, how tensed are your arm muscles?

  • Looks more like phoenix fist and not mantis.

  • I think this actually looks quite good, I dont know anything about mantis but looks good to me?!

  • This sh&t is not meant to be shared to all and sundry. If u had any honor u would never put this on line.. By the way your form is crap and a bastardized version of the tru art form. You actually know nothing of chow gar and shoul stop posting this stuff. You are an imposter! I have done this since I was seven and am now forty and would never show anyone anything above their level and definitely not to people who have never trained. You make a mockery of yourself and of martial arts. The grandm

  • @wookie1972 You sound like a Christian saying no one should read the Bible in English - and people who did should be killed. Like they used to be. Grow the FU. Reading some Bruce Lee would help you have a more mature atttitude towards learning and the m arts, instead of this feudal BS.

  • i DON'T CARE IF THERE IS NEVER GOING TO BE A PART 2, THIS PART 1 KICKS ASS!

  • Toph!!!

  • Great!! you look like a bug!! keep it up :)

  • 0.28 sec Concentration Fart?

  • RESPECT!!! I saw gain in you art and I study Southern Praying Mantis as well so you know I'm a fan

  • Good blows and winds of fists, showing the well-trained JING (power) ! 勁!好野!

  • when are you gonna start making earth avalanches xD

  • It sounds as if you farted at :27 xD

  • I've been studying chow gar for about four months so far. i know enough to know that it is dangerous, why do you put it on the internet for the world to see? what have these people done to earn anything you have to teach them?

  • @longshot67 you couldn't possibly anything of use from a simple clip

  • @danjclay27

mk, i wasn't accusing you of anything so i'm sorry if i put you on the defensive, i just wanted your opinion :)

  • @danjclay27 thats cool im just making sure people understand. its not an opinion. you couldnt actually learn anything of use from a clip.

  • did he fart in the middle of the video? lol

  • whats all the self-slapping for in this art? Some kind of distraction in combat or is this just form stuff? Thanks!

  • @judutchinski for form and conditioning

  • Excellent ! esp. like the wind sound from the hands and fingers ! fast & powerful forearm movements ! There's Ging 勁 there !

  • bjj is ridiculously good in any combat sport where grappling is allowed. hell if you take someone down in the real world too BUT in these combat sports such as MMA, the rules are in your favor. kung fu often involves striking areas deemed unfair in combat sports. no rules in real combat. plus you can't roll around when there are multiple assailants. Bjj seems to be the best at what its for by far, but i have a hard time seeing its effectiveness in a broad range of real world situations

  • haha wtf??

nice evryday bussiness dude...then bam Mantis style!!......pretty sweet =)

  • Top Stuff!! More please.

  • thanks for sharing!

  • bjj is a sport martial art, chow gar means business

  • @mrussum1 Can you explain better your idea or you are siply a flamer. PS i'm a "jujitero"

  • I have been traveling to London from Belfast to train with my Sifu Paul Whitrod for 13 years now. I always spar my Chow Gar Mantis with friends in boxing, Judo, Cage ect. Dont forget what your art was designed for, its not a dance. I am a bit rusty in this clip, just took it on my lunch break. Will try to get some heavey Chow gar sparring up in the future. If you are serious get your ass down to 27 Romford road, east London. Adios Amigos LOL

  • dude you shouldn't even dignify that bs with a response....any mug can see you've got the skills :-) ifu

  • @corpmass67 I've been thinking about joining that club for a while, is it a friendly welcoming atmosphere?

  • awesome...

  • awesome, i can see your power! a+ please check out my form, i also study, but our mantis has been combined with a tiger system so it looks different, just abit more flowy, but the short power is still there cheers

  • Is your style Steel wire mantis(sifu Clements) by any chance?

  • no, my chow gar is more similar to the paul whitrod linage, my master studied a tiger system first then met up with a chow gar teacher and they taught each other, so my mantis has a heavy tiger influence
