I don't usually leave comments on youtube, but what I've noticed on youtube is the amount of views. It sucks that there's only 12,444 views here while some stupid useless videos get millions of views .
Continue inspiring and spreading the message Roz Savage!! Very soon I will start traveling and following in the footsteps of the many adventurers like you, well not exactly the same steps...
You are entering my life just at the right time...I have 8 summers left, doing a lot of self awareness work and at 64 still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.
Hi, for some reasons, your vid moved me to tears ... I've been on this path for a few years (I don't mean rowing but inner change to make dreams happen ! ;) ). It's a path where nothing can never be taken for granted , always have to question ourselves and make sure we listen to our hearts ! So in a nutshell, I just want to say thank you and I love you. I hope , we'll meet some day. Today you gave me the strength to go one step further ...Take care . love
I DO understand the environmental issues Roz is promoting (I've worked in environmental policy)... so I'm a tad embarrassed to be asking this trivial question:
Roz,
While rowing, you are always wearing singlet-tops. Aren't you worried about getting skin cancer? Sunscreen can only protect you to a certain extent - especially when you're sweating.
Thanks for your concern! I use organic sun cream to protect my skin. Actually I don't usually wear even a singlet top - I'm usually wearing nothing but a baseball cap, but I put clothes on for filming!
But really: there is a hole in the ozone layer in the southern hemisphere - us Aussies don't get so much protection from UV rays as you get in the UK. Take care on your way to Australia. Skin cancer is a real risk! We don't want to lose you: you're a wonderful ambassador for the environment..
@thumpaholden Yeh, I just had a small piece of melanoma cut off of me last summer '09. When I asked what it was from, the doc, with no hesitations said, "A life of sunshine." Thankfully they got it all. It was a wake up call, to put it mildly.

Roz, I'm such a failure next to you. I've wasted my life. What a bummer.

Thank you - I will be careful! And I do get a skin scan once a year, just to be on the safe side...

So why don't you break free? It might not be as hard as you think - and once you get to the other side, life can be amazing!!

I like watching you as you adventure. I am reminded I should break free from the life I have.
