On the first page of the first printing of The Book of Mormon it reads: 'By Joseph Smith, Author and Proprietor,' which in later revisions and printings was changed to read: 'Translated by Joseph Smith, Jun.' Why did Joseph Smith name himself author of the book in the first place? And why did the Church in later printings make that important change?

and again, why is god presenting himself a Wedjat Eye? This is what you and smith are saying. It's God there right? Or is it Min or is it Horus..you say..getting his eye back? Oh but it's not an eye, it is the key to the priesthood. and God needs this? I am making as much sense as you are.

It's not God presenting himself with a Wedjat Eye. This is NOT what I nor the Prophet are saying. To the Egyptians this is one god presenting the eye to another god. The KEY to IMMORTALITY to the ancient Egyptians is that eye. I am approaching this from the ancient Egyptian points of view, not we moderns. Hope that helps. Listen again to this and see if it helps. I hope it does.

you professor, have you ever thought about posting these videos or other good videos as a response to those antimormon versions of these facsimiles? I think that you and the other scholar guys at the fair should not jos post them here, but actually post them as a response to those anti-mormon videos so that more people would see them and get a beter understanding of the big picture.

I have tried with a few of them, and they block me. GRIN! Gee, I wonder why....... but, at least they are here and up and running for others to look at. I have many more I am producing.....almost as I type. I also found a couple other videos of firesides I have done on these! woohoo! So, all I have to do is upload em, and let er rip.......

TBP I also enjoy your videos and want to offer a suggestion to get your video rebuttals noticed by those watching the anti videos. Name your rebuttal the exact same as the anti vid but add perhaps "corrected" or "addressed" or "- an LDS take" etc. If you do this I think your videos will show up on the right pane as related videos.

Kerry, Jarkko1983 has a very good point ! if you were to post your videos in a anti mormon catagory your videos would get a greater chance of being heard and viewed.
Your research is extraordinary and your videos are most fasinating!

There are SO many things I don't know. But I would like to make more educational, more professional videos. I'm working on getting the materials to do this more quickly than I can with my present tools.

Yeah..... yer gettin the idea. Oh hey, if you like the Egyptian materials, have I got delights for you over the course of the rest of our lifetimes..... I keep going back to it, can't leave it alone ya know, something about symbolism and their meanings and import. We humans love symbols, and I, being an artist also, am certainly no exception. impulses of our bodies. All of existence really is just a series of elements that either act, or are acted upon, in varying degrees. And all of our interactions and connections are symbol based. Communication, revelation and symbols are all tied. And, as it says in Revelations, the spirit of prophecy/revelation is the testimony of Jesus. Truly all things testify of Christ.
