  • what happpens if you move your eye while it's lasering you. :S:S

  • Modify shape of the cornea using a laser

  • Does it hurt? :o

  • @Henryff55

not really. i had mine done a year ago. Hurts no more then somebody pinching you really. At worst its annoying. i kept on wanting to squint my eye with that metal thing in there. Aside from that it was super quick. After the operation your eyes are sore for a while,

  • does it hurt having the thing keep your eye open?

  • im never gana get this....

  • I want this procedure done but it looks horrifying!!!!

  • I really wanna get it done but it looks terrifying.

  • @butternutscotch

takes 4 minutes!!! i had this done and i it was a breeze.

  • how much does this procedure cost?

  • y did i click on the link...ew...stop touching it!!!!

  • Does this hurt?

  • 0MG0MG0MG0MG0MG0MG0MG0MG0MG0MG0MG0MG0MG0MG0MG0MG0MG0MG0MG0MG0MG0MG0MG0MG0MG0MG LMFAO

  • What is this surgery for?

  • this looks painful

  • this looks painful

  • is the patient asleep?

  • is it painful

  • OMG... I wouldn't have let my mom do this if I would have watched this first... 0.o

  • they put stamps :)

  • i think i'll stay with my glasses now.

  • Looks harsh

  • 1:24 what are they cutting from your eye??? did it hurt?

  • can you go blind with this???

  • looks scary

  • is that sleepi?

  • This was extremely hard to watch I had to keep looking away, there is now way I could ever get this done! D: even though I need it so bad, I can literally only see a foot maybe in front of my face clearly, but this looks too scary.

  • @jayla1992 i did it 2 weeks ago,i didn't watch the vidio until now, you don't feel NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!! i can't belive this was the surgery because it's seems scary in the video but you don't feel nothing and you just see the red light

  • @FLORCH You didn't feel nothing? You need to work on your grammar.

  • What iis this? I never knew lol

  • i was considering this treatment for my eyes BEFORE I WATCHED THIS!!!!!!

  • @GriffinGurl You meant to spell 'opthamologist' right? If you're going to pretend to be smart, at least pay attention and notice this man's primary language is obviously not English.

  • @oneshotcannon I'm not quite sure what the blue rings are for but the "lens" you are speaking of, is the outer layer of your eye. It is sliced open, they then use the laser on the inner part of your eye, and move the outside layer back over to heal over again.

  • @noodeli They are fully awake, might get a sedative, but there is virtually no pain. Some people will complain about pain for a few days after, but there is usually something inside the flap, such as an eyelash, air bubble, or something of the likes.

  • Is ther person awake? Asleep? Pain?

  • o_O Holy crap..

  • I think i will stick with glasses for another 70 years

  • I found this video easy to masturbate to

  • Can you be asleep for this? because I couldnt handle being awake

  • what are the blue rings for? Also at 00:59 was that lens that was removed?

  • @dapletd: no

  • go to facebook.com/cirugia.refractiva and there you can see the diference. LASEK is the modern way of doing what PRK was.

  • i just watched this but I still dont understand whats the difference between Lasik and PRK...can anyone give me a simple answer. my sister had hers done an the 18th of june and she still cant see clearly...i dont want to wait that long.

  • @faerymama77 In Lasik a flap is made of the protective covering over cornea. The epi layer is only microns thick...the width of a human hair. the layer is lifted, the treatment made on the actual cornea. In PRK, the epi layer is softened, and sponged off. The treatment on the cornea is identical in both, it is simply a difference of how the epi layer is removed to treat. In LASIK, the healing time of the flap takes 48 hours. In PRK, the healing time is 4 to 6 weeks.

  • people stop , bitching no it does not hurt , i had a 2 cornea transplants wich is much worse ..

  • god dammit this is ugly

  • WHY DID I WATCH THIS... i am having second thoughts

  • what wer to happen if the flap brok off i know it probley has naver happent toenaone but gust what if it did happen

  • @gabbylinnuhber2000 : that is a terrible complication, but fortunately very infrequent.

  • @IgnacioManzitti im onely 11 so i have no idea what you gust said ?

  • hard to believe this takes 4 minutes to do

  • @HDorochimaru : it does

  • looks traumatizing

  • this is so hard to watch haha

  • Does this work for lazy eye?

  • @StrangeShipper : no

  • @IgnacioManzitti how long did it take for you to fully recover

  • @IgnacioManzitti does it hurt. my brother did this too.

  • @StrangeShipper How do you suppose reshaping your eye's natural lens would affect lazy eye?

  • @StrangeShipper thats the con of being lazy you cant get lasik surgery

  • why do they mark ur eyes with blue ink at the start?

  • I had this done 6 years ago. One of the best things I ever did. The video looks way worse than the experience, so don't let it worry you. I felt NO pain. Getting a cavity filled at the dentist is far worse.

  • What happens if you really have to blink?

  • @SocialLoserr they put drops to keep your eyes moist

  • @SocialLoserr there is an iron thing that don't allow you to blink

  • do they dumb you first? or use any type of anasteshia so you wont feel anything. i plan on doing this for my left eye if i qualify.

  • I enjoy laughing and watching this. Like the music and everything.

    Am I weird? XD

Btw I've been myopic with floaters since age 8 (currently 17) looking forward to this in the near future!!

  • im looking forward to join the military and my eye sight is bad, do they giv u this eye surgery??

  • I am an ophthalmologist and I did the surgery in more than one collegue who are ophthalmologist. And I also my mother had the surgery done herself but not by me, by a collegue of mine because I was not a doctor yet. Next time find out before you lie in such a way!! Ignacio Manzitti, MD, Eye surgeon.

  • There is no one ophthalmologist in the world who was operated by lasik.

They use contacts or glasses ,but for the money, they will operate other people!

  • I will need to take this operation this summer.

  • did our eyes feel itchy during this operation ?

  • my friend how is the flap sealed ????

  • is this operation painful

  • @richradful NO

  • @richradful I had it done about 10 years ago and it was a blessing. No, it does not hurt. You can actually notice the difference just after the surgery. I was myopic since I was 15. Expend a fortune in glasses, not only because I had to adjust every two years, but also because I kept breaking or losing them. Try contacts, but the idea of pocking my finger in my eyes was not appealing. Besides I could not stand them. This took 5 minutes total (both eyes). Now enjoy my sight anywhere...

  • @richradful No it does not hurt. I was myopic since I was 15 and expend a fortune in glasses, contacts, and doctors. I had it done about 10 years ago and so far, no complications. It is a blessing to go without glasses or contacts, and to be able to see a lot better that a lot of people. If you are considering it, do not hesitate. You will be glad you did it.

  • ca he/she see during the operation?

  • @lordalienandi havn't had it done, but yup. The patient is fully awake. Kinda scary. :/

  • hey does it hurt??

  • @farhaan54 . NO

  • 4 minutes and BAM! Perfect vision! Nice...

  • psh, you can have it

  • all i was thinking is ok iv seen this so many times but it is interesting but this time im like, ok where the heck is teh pupal?? >.< lol

and i wonder what it would look like on a blue eye

  • Is there an option to be asleep while this is performed?

  • @69Thrasha69 hey i did this procedure. adn no you cant sleep :P they need you to be alert because you're asked to look at a light :)

  • I glad that my eyes are perfectly normal

  • @henry10201020 Lucky for you! My contact lens strenth are -5.00 and -5.25 >.<

  • That looks so painful. I don't know if I really want to get it now.... Ow... What if I go blind?

  • @ShikaANDTemari ya same hereeeeeeee eyes r percioussssssssss i am ok with glasses

  • @ShikaANDTemari .. it looks painful but it aint at all, i had my surgery last week, you do feel everything but it doesnt bothers you, they are going to tell you only to follow the laser .. thats all .. and it would be over before u know it ... u can have a tequila shot first .. hahah but its ok u wont go blind..

  • I'd be afraid to do this cuz i don't want to end up going blind if the doctor messes up and i know i'd end up blinking somehow and making myself go blind.

  • why is it purple?

  • How do they keep you from moving your eye?

  • How long is the recovery time?

  • @emz33 a week but sometimes never!

  • I've had this surgery and it's painless...sure there is discomfort after the procedure for 8 hours or so....but it's worth it....i have BETTER than 20/20 vision now. I no longer have to wear stupid glasses on my face like the rest of u.

  • i always wanted to do lasik eye vision but now im thinkin twice

  • oh my..i cried a little bit & i think i need to go throw up...

  • omfg this gives me the shivers!

  • oh thats nasty

  • i think im gonnna throw up now.

  • do the results last forever? or do u have to do it every 2 years or somthin?

  • those who wants to do lasik, better don't watch this video, will make you scare. lol. i just had mine few days back. i didn't watch these videos until now. i would totally do it agian. it's not as scary as it looks. n no pain at all. the eyedrops that i put in the eyes afterwards sting, but the surgery itself, no pain.

  • is there a chance that you might go blind?

  • @k4n399 the surgery itself is pretty safe, if your eye moves too much the machine will stop. the danger is the infection (that might cause loss of vision) after the surgery. so must take good care after the surgery!

  • @k4n399 If you don't take care of your eyes afterwards you have a chance of getting poor vision but no chance of blindness unless you go with a garbage doctor. You need to go to a doctor with over 1000 procedures. Don't go cheap on something like this.

  • @k4n399 Since you're 14, you need to wait until you're over 26 for it to work well as your eyes are still growing.

  • @numnunums close... im 15 xD

  • did some research on the internet and found this article about the dangers of eye surgery... just thought i'd share with y'all... chetday.com/lasikeyesurgery.htm

  • THAT IS SO AWSOME OMG!! :D

  • Purty steady hand u got there sir

  • i had done LASIK surgery last yr.. its fascinating to see wht hapnd back then.. thanks for sharing!!

  • When/if I get this done to me, I wanna be piss drunk so I don't even know what's going on.

  • can you feel the instruments ??

    what about the risks ??

  • i had LASIK this last thursday. my left eye is almost done! just seein some halos but nothin to worry bout i think. the prob was that that same day my flap's right eye was moved (dunno how),and friday got it on place again with contact lense.but now i see all blury, and vision just improved a little since friday (now is saturday),but left eye doin great.should i worry?i read a lot of shit on internet and im scared :( please some one gimme peace :(

  • OMG WTF xD good video

  • good question. The flap is the same, the difference is in the laser ablation.

  • this procedure was to correct myopia right?

how are hyperopia and astigmatism corrected? is the difference just in laser ablation of the corneal stroma or is there a difference in creating the corneal flap as well?

  • I dont like it. But unfortunately there is no ortho-K in the philippines.

  • surveyy shows only 5% of lasik patients get bad side effects or fucked up vision.... ILL TAKE THOSE CHANCES!

  • Contacts ALL THE WAY! FOR TH WIN!!!

  • Oh.

    My.

God. They just cut that dudes eye open. Holy sh** no way. No way.

  • Hi, do you have some kind of bad experience with it? Could you tell me more?

  • what things could go wrong?

  • What is the age limit one can get this treatment. Between 18 thru 50? Somebody needs reading glass at 45 so can they still do it?

  • I actually had lasik eye surgery myself and holy shit after watching this it makes it seem so much worse than i thought it was lol. But... 20/15 vision isnt all bad

  • This is Froggyboy's sister talking. My science teacher had Lasik eye surgery and didn't feel a thing. he was awake the whole time.

  • before this they give u some numbing eye drops. the only real discomfort you feel is whenever ur eyes get dry during the procedure

  • ouch that gotta be hurting..i'm just going to stick to contact lenses

    0:45 >> T__T'

  • @tellesworld surgery is better it doesnt hurt

  • All accual answers please. Cost? How long does it last for? Does the effect wear off? Long term problems?

  • Comment removed

  • i just had this done about a week and a half ago and im SO GLAD i didnt watch this video before i went because i wouldnt have been able to do it!!!! it didnt hurt, them numb your eyes with drops and also they give you a pill to relax you. but omg after watching this i cant believe i did it

  • so any side effects?

  • not really. i mean my eyes are a little dry right now but they said that would get better. my vision is not 100% yet but its only but 12days and they said it will heal completely after a few months. i would recomend it to anyone.

  • @kristinchris420 you're lucky you've done it before watching this. me? i am still planning to do it. i was researchinjg and i found this. now i'm having doubts. i think the one that they used to clip your eyes wide open hurts! does it?

  • @kristinchris420 i had my surgery last week too, and i know after i watched this video i couldnt believe i had the courage to have the surgery.. and they didnt gave me a pill to relax.. so i was a bit panicking.. heheh but really worth it !! :P

  • @kristinchris420 thanks you just answered all my questions XD

  • does it hurt?

  • no they numb your eye but your awake through the whole thing and you see it...

  • thanks goodness for anesthetics! what would we do without them!

  • Impresionante! El flap se pega solo después?

Tengo muchas ganas de operarme ya!

    =)

    Carnot

  • Si. Saludos Carnot!

  • the three blue rings are a sterile Ink that marks the flap and surrounding layer so that when the flap is put back down, the surgeon can line up the lines to ensure the flap is in the correct posistion.

  • wait at 0:10 and so on what is that cirlcles thev person put's on you the cirlces on your eyes there blue

  • you see that flap that they lifted? its part of the eye that they cut away temporarily, when the put the flap back after the surgery, it has to be in the exact same position so they use the those blue circles as reference. its ink that can be cleaned off

  • a pessoa está a durmir certo?

  • had it 3 times and miopy is back, don't know why though and every case is different but i lived 2 years happily without my lenses!

God luck for the ones who are getting it and take good care of your eyes! :o)

  • Holy cow! I want to get this done, but yikes!

  • NO, its really not that bad, I have done it, and I will do it again!!!, its great to be able to see again, and not worry about contacts or glasses, you dont feel a thing!!! not painfull at all, just a bit discomfort, but its like for 2 minutes... compare 2 min of discomfort to be able to see for the REST of your life.... IT IS SOOO WORTH IT!!!

  • @gummyluv143 heyyy okay i have bad vision and i want to do it

    i have like -8 and -10

i wanna how much you paid for it?

    how long did it take?

how many days do you have to wear special glasses?

    please let me know thanks!

  • @RENNE1ROBERTS Hi... I did it in South Africa, and its way cheaper there... I paid about $1500 for both eyes, not sure how much it is in the states...

The whole process took about 10 min, 5min for an eye... and you dont have to wear special glasses at all, right after the process they close your eyes with patches, you go home and sleep, (and what a nice sleep it was, they give something to make you sleep), then you go back in the late afternoon, and they open you up, and thats it...

  • @RENNE1ROBERTS it might be a diffrent process in diffrent countries, I will just check it out if I were you, but I believe it will be just that easy and simple pretty much everywhere.... hope I could help :)

  • @gummyluv143 after the eye surgury...how do the seal the flaps that they cut on your eye? do they give you special drops or something?

  • @animefan0000012345 hey,, wow.. good question.. honestly I dont have an idea... it will be best if you ask the doctor about that one... But after they cut mine, they just put it back, and I think they just suck back by themselves.. thats why you have to keep your eyes close for about 5 hours .. But that will be just a guess on my side...

  • does this hert?

  • are you sedated wen this happens?

  • The surgery is performed under local anesthesia. With drops. the patient is awake but doesnt hurt

  • Are you sure? I'd be flipping out. No wonder one goes blind for a while after LASIK.

  • @IgnacioManzitti so you are given anesthesia?

  • @IgnacioManzitti Do your eyes water a lot? Or do the drops stop that?

  • @E7ProuductionZ I'd wanna knocked the f**k out, lol, just being able to see the instruments coming towards my eye would freak me out, would need a lot of Valium to do this.

  • ouch! does it hurts?

  • not at all

  • É realmente muito interessante a evolução que tem a medicina atualmente. Estou emprecionada!
