The last 5 minutes deals with the consequences for her family, but the previous 90 minutes deals with her characters inability to stop having sex with a schoolboy. And the lengths she has to go to because she was sprung. For the first hour of the movie she spends maybe 5 minutes with her family. Her husband is basically raising the kids solo, while she is out with the boy. Maybe Cate doesnt want to much attention to be played to the sex/kissing scenes with the boy actor, who was 16 at the time.

She's just seeking to avoid the kind of easy quick sensationalism that often arises when people tackle difficult and taboo subjects, I think she's asking people to look at more than just the salacious aspects first, because there's a lot of pain and sadness and even insight in the film which can so easily be overlooked by a knee-jerk reaction to the material.
