I think she broke character and was cracking up when she's supposed to be sleeping. Not exactly Oscar material but the general concept is interesting. I'm sure there are other interpretations but my take on the video is the guy died and his ghost hangs around her house while she's mourning. In order to heal and get on with her life, she threw away his letters and pictures. Even though he doesn't like her with a new guy, in the end he realizes the right thing to do is say goodbye.
