  • D&C 114:1 quoted on this video. D&C is not all about prophecies - some are Doctrines and others are Covenants. Verse 1 is conditional "that he may" meaning it may not be since W. Patten need to settle his business as soon as he possibly can. If he didn't do it, others will do in his stead see verse 2.

Satan will do all possible decisive tools like this video to deceive many even the elect of God because he knows that he hat but a short time. Rev. 12:12

  • @jeffryan1402 Google Joseph Smith and failed prophecies. There are dozens. In his life he was correct less than half the time. Satan doesn't need to do a thing because Mormons are not the elect of God. They are just so pompous they think they are.

  • @MrUltimatemonkey "Quaker-Catholic-like men"?? ;o)

  • This hateful Anti-Mormon video is such a fraud. There ARE Quaker-like men on the moon. Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and the other ten astronauts who walked on the moon did not see these Quaker-like because they were not righteous enough, and because God wants us to have faith. God told the Quaker-like men to hide in the craters.

  • My butt is inhabited by very tiny men dressed in business suits and they live to 2000!

  • Joseph loved weman, so much, that he married other mans wives.

  • no facts about what thi video says.

  • I know these videos are posted in an attempt to shake LDS faith, as well as to discourage others from joining the LDS church. I am LDS, and have a hard time understanding why people hate us so much. In all our sacred texts, which includes the Holy Bible, We are taught to love everyone even as unto ourselves. I respect all faiths, but I do not believe all faiths. This is the doctrine of the LDS church. I would also like to say that no 'proof' against my belief will ever shake my faith.

  • @kenobifx

These videos are actually for people looking at the Mormon Church. It has been very effective. People like you are blind to the truth, and so there is little chance of you seeing the truth. I was a Mormon for 40 years, holding all types of callings in wards stakes and in the temple. After a period of study I found I could not support the lies promulgated by Mormon leadership and resigned. My family has resigned, a brother and two sisters and their families have resigned.

  • Joe Smith joined the Masonic lodge and copied most if not all the 3 degrees while inculcating them into the Temple sealing. His religion is Masonic, Christian, and mystic. He was a treasure hunter on farms claiming that the two stones he had in his hat would tell him where the treasure was. This was in up state new york where Indian mounds are numerous. Now the Mormons say Freemasons copied them. LOL..

  • *looooooool* thats a funny pseudo-resurch:

    1.) inhabitants on the moon:

the first source is a journal of a small girl! *lol* VEEEERY reliable for deeper doctrine. the second source if isnt a church book. so both sources are absolutly crapy.

2.) the "sun-story": if you look up that source: there doesnt exist AT ALL any comment in that directions. so it's a bit desillussionend that this pseudo-documentation is based on crapy sources and lying with quotes. if you critic mormonism, take true sources

  • @enesdeape

a little reality here. An original source was the writing of Oliver B. Huntington in 1881. In 1892 the comments were expanded in the Young Woman's Journal (an official Mormon publication). As far back as 1837, I know that he [Joseph SmithJ said the moon was inhabited by men and women the same as this earth, and that they lived to a greater age than we d~that they live generally to near the age of a 1,000 years. (Young Woman's Journal, Vol.3, p.263).

  • @enesdeape

the sun source is the Journal of Discourses, of which I have a copy.

"Who can tell us of the inhabitants of this little planet that shines of an evening, called the moon?... So it is in regard to the inhabitants of the sun. Do you think it is inhabited? I rather think it is. Do you think there is any life there? No question of it; it was not made in vain." (Journal of Discourses, vol. 13, p. 271)

Look it up Sparky. I have.

  • fuck mormons bunch of polygamist bastards

  • They are not! They stopped when congress outlawed it, they were pissed, but they eventually stoped! But the first guys that were told that they could not get all the ladies they could handle were pretty pissed so they went on their own, and developed their own sects, so see you're wrong. After that they just went on and educated all of us on how god curses people by making them brown or black. Now stop your cursing and be nicer to these folk.

  • Eventually? You call continuing the practice for another 16 years 'eventually?'

  • @alexrad1:

*looooooool* primitve people make me laugh... =)

  • @enesdeape

    Laughing at yourself Sparky?

  • Joseph Smith. The least Mormon of all the Mormon Prophets. Ironic, huh? I love this man. The more I learn about him and all his shortcomings, the more I love him and praise him as a Prophet. His blood will be vindicated!

  • Keep telling yourself that. He was a petty con man and a pedophile. Some prophet.

  • Joseph Smith had definitely done things worthy of being put to death. He should have been given a trial first, but he sure did not have one drop of innocent blood, to bleed, when he was shot. Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven, and Joseph Smith presented a false Christ to the world along with his false gospel, his torment in hell, will probably be nearly as bad as the torment that faces Satan, when he is finally cast into the lake of fire. Joseph Smith should have turned to the real Jesus.

  • It sounds as though you need some facts to go with those LDS sources. Smith was 100% each and every time he opned his mouth to prophecy.

  • @moparmonster1965

President Smith then stated that the meeting had been called, because God had commanded it; and it was made known to him by vision and by the Holy Spirit. . . . it was the will of God that they should be ordained to the ministry and go forth to prune the vineyard for the last time, for the coming of the Lord, which was nigh — even fifty six years should wind up the scene. (History of the Church, Vol. 2, page 182).

  • @moparmonster1965 Verily, thus saith the Lord: It is wisdom in my servant David W. Patten, that he settle up all his business as soon as he possibly can, and make a disposition of his merchandise, that he may perform a mission unto me next spring, in company with others, even twelve including himself, to testify of my name and bear glad tidings unto the world. (Doctrine & Covenants 114:1)

This prophecy was made on April 17, 1838. David W. Patten died in October of 1838.

  • @moparmonster1965

I prophecy in the name of the Lord God of Israel, unless the United States redress the wrongs committed upon the Saints in the state of Missouri and punish the crimes committed by her officers that in a few years the government will be utterly overthrown and wasted (History of the Church, Vol. 5, page 394).

  • @moparmonster1965

While discussing the petition to Congress, I prophesied, by virtue of the holy Priesthood vested in me, and in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, that, if Congress will not hear our petition and grant us protection, they shall be broken up as a government, and God shall damn them, and there shall be nothing left of them — not even a grease spot. (Millennial Star, Vol. 22, p. 455. See also History of the Church (HC), vol. 6, p. 116

  • @moparmonster1965

Finding Treasure in Salem, Massachusetts - This prophecy is recorded in Doctrine & Covenants Section 111.

Pestilence, Hail, Famine & Earthquake to Destroy the Wicked - (History of the Church, Vol. 1, pp. 315-316).

I could go on for hours. You know about these and all of the rest. He was not a prophet, he was the Jim Jones of his day.

  • I'd hestitate to call him Jim Jones because he never had to goad his followers into lining up for mass suicide, but an early version of Jimmy Swaggart or a heterosexual Ted Haggard.

  • This should've read: "Smith was 100% wrong each and every time he opened his mouth to prophecy." (spelling corrected, too)

  • Archeologist have admitted saying they have barely scratched the surface of Mesoamerica, so still other things may be discovered. Also about some animals you mention elephant? Well the mammoth travelled to America and has the same skeletal structure. Also a mastodon skeleton was found in America. You state that Joseph was a necromancer which is true in that he talked to the angel Moroni. He wasnt a wizard and did not practice witchcraft

  • The mammoth and mastodon existed and died long before the homo sapien. They did not live concurrently. A necromancer is one who can control familiar spirits. Moroni was suppose to be an angel. The drivil your seminary teacher spooned out is just that.

  • You may say there is no evidence of certain things or events of the BOM happenings. There is no evidence showing the exodus or the enslavement of the people of Moses either. Does that make it false? As well as the battle of Jericho because there is no archeological evidence is found. Another thing just because they havent discovered anything yet doesnt mean they will.

  • The enslavement of Moses is probably false. The anachronisms and secular texts show the Old Testament was probably written in the 9th - 7th century BCE. It was written around the time of the reign of Hezekiah and the enslavement of the Northern kingdom. Jericho was built and destroyed (burned) at least seven times. I have been on that archaeological dig. You may want to read "The Bible Unearthed" for the current archaeological perspective.

  • Another thing is when we are discussing history remember that even though something may or may not be stated in historical text it does not make it right or wrong. Because there are 7 steps to studying history and first is observe and we cannot observe history because we are not there. ANY RELIGIOUS BOOK must be taken on faith that goes for the bible as well as any other text. No archeological findings can prove or disprove a book. All it can do is show plausibility.

  • I don't need to take anything on faith. I apply the same skepticism to all religion that I applied to Mormonism. We cannot observe history, but there have always been people who recorded history. If you take the archeological finds, compare them to the secular history, including records of surrounding kingdoms, then compare that to the religious record you can get an idea of plausibility. Mormonism has none, even less than the Bible.

  • Ok so first of all the doctrine with the changes argument 90 percent of those changes were grammatical changes. The other 10 percent were not significant changes to claim the untruthfulness of the Book of Mormon. And besides you claim that if doctrine has been changed you dont think it is true may I remind you that the bible has gone through hundreds of changes. But we still believe the Bible.

  • Let's go more basic. Forget the changes from monotheism in the BoM to polytheism and talking about Christ in 1 Nephi when the name Christ had not been revealed. How about the major changes to the unchanging temple ceremony? (I was officiator during one set of major changes) How about the change to now say Jesus was not married and was not a polygamist? How about the distancing from God was once a man in lesson manuals?

  • and 40 yrs.... wow and you still had doubts the entire time, but older isnt wiser lol. i dnt know but isnt faith a big factor. i guess your testimony wasnt that great either. and my comparison to catholicism wasnt an opinion those are straight up facts buddy.

  • Shouldn't the "TRUTH" be more constant than something that is not true? You miss my point. If it is TRUE why does God have to change it all the time? Those are the facts "buddy"

  • 40 years and did not have a doubt for 38. I spent two years in intense study to "prove" it true to a faculty member at a major university. What I found horrified me. Mormonism is founded in folk magic, spells, magic rocks, totems and familiar spirits. His mother Lucy Mack Smith wrote Smith was an accomplished necromancer and medium. To me a religion founded on these principles is not of God.

  • And again there have been findings of skeletons resembling horses in central america before colombus. and for your information i am not a mormon my wife and her family are all mormons which has given me the oppurtunity to look into their church.

  • Sources - making this kind of claim without support is ridiculous. There have been no such skeletons found. This is a common faith promoting claim that is just not true.

Your wife? yea right. You are a snot nosed kid.

  • ok well the form is called chaismus and it really does exist. unless you know alot more than archeologists. it was found in central america along with other indications showing the validity of the BOM.

  • Chiasmus exists in the Unix users guide, in Shakespeare and even the writings of Confucius. Joseph Smith wrote the King Follett Discourse using it. Milton used it in writing Paradise Lost. Solomon Spaulding and Ethan Smith both used it in their writings. These last two are likely sources from which the Book of Mormon was plagiarized. Find something that will hold up to a modicum of scrutiny.

  • haha wow this much effort to try and bring down a faith.... man thats alot of people trying however you all take the prophecies literal remember that the mormons also believe in a afterllife in which missions may be served. and remember that the catholic church was changed many times by different kings to fit their needs. not to mention alot of ministers of other faiths like to play with their children!!! LOL mormons false???? idk

  • I was a Mormon for 40 years. That is a lot longer than you have been around. I know what they try to pass off as doctrine. I was a missionary, I was a Bishop, I was a temple officiator. I resigned in 2005 because of a growing mound of evidence of deceit within the Mormon Church. IF Mormonism was twue, why would they need to change doctrines? You use Catholicism as your measuring stick. Is it true in your opinion? If not, the comparison is invalid.

  • I am not going to argue or debate with you. I know via prayer that the LDS church is true. and I can see tghe lies in this viedo. I will place a block on my Email account to end the debate with you.

  • Typical. Claiming there is a lie, then trying to take the high road when challenged. Your testiphony is worthless when faced with documented facts. Block your email. It is a typical response from a Mormon, just like blocking and removing any comments on their videos that challenge them. Your response shows very clearly the obvious weakness of the Mormon argument. BTW my super secret temple name is Gabriel.

  • buddy documented facts show the book of mormon to be accurate so your ignorance is showing. and im not even mormon and you look like a fool right now. want proof ill give it to you then you can really look stupid.

  • Not a Mormon? Bullshit. All you have posted on are Mormon related videos. Book of Mormon accurate? Again bullshit. How about anachronisms in the Book of Mormon. Horses, elephants, honey bees, steel, glass, wheat, barley and all the rest that did not exist in the pre-Columbian America. Now what accuracies are you talking about? Calling me a fool and stupid say a lot more about you than about me.

  • You are basing you point on a blatent lie that was based on a blatent misquote.

  • What lie? What misquote? Look it up Sparky. Your ignorance is showing.

  • Hateful Anti-Mormons make me laugh!!

Neil Armstrong landed on the moon and found no Quaker-like men We only landed on the moon SIX TIMES!! We just did not land on the right part of the moon!!

Actually, it is conceivable that the Quaker men wore space suits, so just because the astronauts did not see them does not mean they are not there!!

Since NONE of these astronauts were Latter Day Saints, Heavenly Father considered them UNWORTHY of seeing the Quaker-like men, so he made them invisible!!

  • I am sorry that the creator of this video has misunderstood the beliefs of the LDS church. He reads/quotes some truths, but his interpretation of the them is misleading and inaccurate.

  • I was a Mormon for 40 years, foreign mission, Bishoprics and Stake callings. I was even a temple officiator in my silly white suit. What have I interpreted incorrectly? What have I quoted that was not said? Throwing a blanket charge of "inaccuracy" or "misleading" doesn't work here. Give me some specifics and I will provide documentation.

  • After all you just said i just feel sad for you.

  • I feel sad for you. Wasting your life on something that is patently false and ridiculous.

  • Sad, sad, sad, sad,

    why must I be sad?

With fields of dandylions growing all around me,

    Why must I be sad?

    Sad, sad, sad, sad,

    no more mister nice guy,

    I love the dead,

    I've been thinking about it,

Now I understand what he said.

  • Show me the documentation where they said this and I will believe you.

  • The only thing not specifically documented within this video is Joseph Smith saying people were on the moon. You can find that in "The Young Woman's Journal", an LDS magazine of the 1890s. The article is dated "Feb 6, 1892". It is also in several journals including Huntington's.

  • !!!PROVE IT!!!

  • Prove what? I have given you sources from Mormon documents. It is your responsibility now to explain why these things are clearly and irrefutably part of Mormon history. What a simple minded dolt you are.

  • LDS don't need much documentation, they believe a 19th century polygamous scammer speaked to God without any strong evidence

  • but the book of mormon itself proves to be academically correct. in a form of ancient egyptian which a no one knew until years later. and many other ways.

  • Bullshit. Give me references. The "form of ancient Egyptian" is still unknown because it never existed. Joseph Smith used an occult stone in the top of his hat. The same one he used when he was arrested for fortune telling and treasure seeking. There were no gold plates and no translation.

  • Comment removed

  • Lameth here, currently residing on the rings of Saturn in kilts along with my 10,000 wives & I approve this message.

  • I cant believe people really believe this

  • Which? Are you talking about Mormon doctrine or the facts portrayed in this video?

All the facts portrayed in this video are easily verified with historical evidence--most of it was previously a staple of Mormon brainwashing.

If you mean Mormonism--Mormons are taught lies and they feel that God witnesses to them the truthfulness of the lies.

  • No, Im with you. I meant I cant believe people really believe Mormon doctrine.

  • This is not Mormon doctrine; this is the truth.

Mormon doctrine, what their testiphonies are about, is that Joseph Smith read off of the Gold Plates to a scribe on the other side of a curtain.

They believe that all other supported facts in this video are lies.

  • so why hasn't anyone else been able to read the damned tablets

  • There were only 11 people, other than Joseph Smith, who ever claimed to have seen the plates.

The majority of those couldn't read English, let alone reformed Egyptian.

Of course, most of those denied ever actually seeing the plates--it was more of a vision.

According to Joe, the Angel Moroni pronounced the translation 'perfect' and took back the plates; after that, 3913 changes were made . . . Moroni must have been illiterate too.

  • Funny thing is... no one has ever heard of Reformed Egyptian. It seems the book of mormon is the only place where the language is mentioned... infact.. .its the only place where cities like Zerahemla are heard of and people called Nephites.... these things are no where outside the book of mormon. Archaeology does not back up it's claims.

  • You have got to read what professor Anton said about reformed Egyptian.

Not what the Mormons credit him with saying, though that's almost as bad, but what he actually said.

  • Don't forget, they later said that they only saw the plates "through the eyes of faith".

  • the mormon faith is pure fiction who would believe a man who found some tablets that could only be translated by magic spectacles, and then make an entire book that contradicts the bible. plus the mormon church had forbidden blacks from being part of their church because joseph smith believed they were demons.

  • Actually, Joseph Smith didn't have anything against black people; Brigham Young is the one who came out with the doctrines concerning those of African descent.

  • Actually, that is not quite accurate. This is one of the quotes from him:

Had I anything to do with the negro, I would confine them by strict law to their own species, and put them on a national equalization History of the Church v5 p 218.

  • I just want the address to the "Book of Mormon Museum of Artifacts" and hours of operation.

Now Please provide me with the address to the "Book of Mormon Museum of Artifacts".

also I need to know where I can get info on a "Sight Seeing" trip to all the Wonderful Ancient Cities & Ruins in the BOM.

Is there a Vacation Package from a Travel Agency?

  • 667 Eratz Street

    Quixotic, Utopia 3.1415987 etc.

The only realistic theory for where the Book of Mormon took place involves a parallel dimension, and we haven't found a way to get there yet.

  • If you want to kill a few brain cells and waste a week of your life, thebackdoorprofessor has a series called "Realistic Book of Mormon Evidences" he might be up to half a million 10 minute vids by now.

He has nothing really interesting to say, but it can help you believe, if you really want to believe.

  • the back door professor is a man who has no value for truth.

His self righteous arrogant vids of lies proves to Christan's what a fool he really is.

  • He doesn't care if anything is purely true; he only cares that it supports Mormonism. He likes to oppose arguments that nobody makes and he spends 90% of the time just standing around and talking about nothing--not even the FAIR approved resources.

If there is a gravestone with the letters NHM on it, that must be Nahom from the Book of Mormon. Nevermind that not even the most seasoned Nomads will attempt the journey between NHM and his proposal for Bountiful.

  • When Nephi's family leaves Jerusalem, they go into the wilderness, then they reach the wilderness near the Red Sea, after 3 days in the wilderness they pitch their tents--backdoor proposes that when they departed in the wilderness near Jerusalem, that wasn't counted.

  • I'm working thebackdoorprofessor over on another Video, I sent it to you so you can help me kick the crap out of him.

  • I am banned from Fair's videos, and I'm pretty sure that he is too.

When you post questions that Fair cannot answer on Fair's profile--they tend to get a little testy.

  • When LDS is caught in their web of lies, they resort to censorship; thus, they ban those who dare to expose their fallacies, fairy tales, and flimsy excuses.

  • Joseph Smith, a personality-full character from the nineteenth century who used all his charm to be an outstanding con-man

  • I tend to side with one scholar who said that he was faking it at first and then he believed he really had revalations from God. The same thing happens to people who honestly believe they have real; psychic abilities and that what makes their claims somewhat more believable.

  • @alexcurd I don´t believe Joseph Smith was handsome. Those who knew him well never said that.

Also his mother said he was taciturn. So he wasn´t so charming. Maybe the charm comes from his work.

  • @dorisfenella

Alexcurd did not say he was handsome. He said he had charm. Joseph Smith was an imposing man at over 6 feet. He had auburn hair and the ability to convince people that what he was saying was true. For example, he convinced Josiah Stowell he was a skilled treasure seeker when he never produced a dime treasure seeking. Stowell testified on his behalf as to his ability when he was completely unsuccessful. Smith was a consummate con artist.

  • @jhuston7 That only show me you are making too much assumptions as well as all the antis in the world. The mob that killed him has a legacy now, to hate him, to discredit him. But there´s lack of evidence. And don´t tell me about the supposed wives. He didn´t have sons but with Emma and that is a fact that destroy many arguments.

  • @dorisfenella

The Mormon website Family Search dot org lists 24 wives. Todd Compton, active Mormon lists 33 in his book and gives excellent documentation that these marriages were not in name only. There is no lack of evidence. He was married to 8 under age girls, the youngest 14. He was married to 11 women who had living husbands. This is all well documented from Mormon sources.

  • @jhuston7 And those woman accepted. So only they really know why? But all of them are death and Joseph didn´t have more sons only with Emma. Can you name one con man who died with a peaceful light smile?

And sorry for my english. I am latin and of course I think he was not a perfect man but a good one at the end.

  • @dorisfenella

Some of the women reported that he told them that he would be destroyed by an angel with a flaming sword if he did not marry them. There were several who refused, and he tried to destroy their reputation. This included Nancy Rigdon,Sarah Pratt, Sarah Kimball, and Jane Law among others. He was a disgusting pig of a man. Read the real history ofr the period.

  • @dorisfenella

Sarah Pratt, in Wyl, Mormon Portraits, p. 62

“[Joseph said] ‘God does not care if we have a good time, if only other people do not know it’…. If any woman, like me, opposed his wishes, he used to say: ‘Be silent, or I shall ruin your character.’”

William Law, 30 March 1887 Interview, The Daily Tribune [Salt Lake City], 31 July 1887 “He [Joseph Smith] had his spies everywhere, and if a woman refused him, he sent his fellows out to whisper stories around about her.”

  • @jhuston7 "if a woman refused him, he sent his fellows out to whisper stories around about her.”

LOL who told you that? the traitor of Tanner. LOL

Being more serious, you remind me Satan when asked Moses to worship him and Moses refused.

  • @dorisfenella

Salt Lake Daily Tribune 31 July 1887. I gave you the source in my post. Are you too stupid to look it up? It is a verified source. You remind me of a stupid relative that no one wants to admit is "their relative. Give me sources Sparky, otherwise you are just an ignorant, pedantic fool.

  • @jhuston7 Identical. LOL

  • @jhuston7 ahh that hurts me deeply.

Now I should give you my another cheeck!

  • @dorisfenella Dele su otra mejilla, tal vez se ganara un pedasito de KOLAB

  • @Chinaculiacan Mejor no hables español.

  • @dorisfenella Ah mi vieja amiga! And I mean just that! lol. Kolob... Have you earned it?

  • The ridiculous interpretation of the burial papyrus of an Egyptian priest named Horus, passed off as the writings of Abraham should say enough. Didnt Joseph Smith say he spoke to the spirit of a person who supposedly lived in ancient times? Familiar spirits, doctrines of devils, these are the only prophecies Joseph Smith is involved in.

  • Thank you for spreading the truth!

  • Why do peoplke build no such lies. if you are so into the mormons then become one. you have no right to looking it and know everything there is to know. If smith was a "false" prophet then why did he die for it. He could have said you know i made it all up but he did not. he was killed because of people like this one who thought him as a "fals" prophet.

  • Well, in all truth he didnt die for his religion. He died because he ordered a mob to destroy a newspaper and people got scared of a mob leader. And I dont count a gunfight as martyrdom

  • Actually, in addition he was arrested for treason for calling out the Nauvoo Legion to prevent his arrest. In Carthage at the time of his arrest was the Grand Master of the Illinois Freemasons. He was unhappy with Smith for introducing Gnosticism into the Mormon lodges, stealing the Masonic ceremonies for the temple, and refusing to stop when his charter was revoked.

  • Also in town was the head of the Whig party who Smith had betrayed in the previous election. He promised to deliver the Mormon block vote in exchange for legal services, then changed his mind and delivered it to the Democrats, costing the Whigs the election. This is all very well documented. There is no reason to lie when the truth is so damning.

  • You should also realize that Captain William Morgan had been murdered just a few years before for disclosing Masonic ceremonies. Joseph Smith was well aware of this, because one of his many wives was Captain Morgan's widow.

  • Prayer is a powerful tool. You should use it.

  • You are a tool.

  • there seem to be other pre mormons involved in Morgan affair, i think O. cowdery, cant recall others. also, Thurlow Weed is a definitive source on Morgan. he spoke w/ all the major players.he wrote extensively on it in his A'biography. his buis' partner was invovled. P. Tucker,. knights templars, more. its a stage game ritual with all of them, all freemasons; be it Morgan, J.Smiths ritual death/Dewitt,etc. Pratts abduction of wife, etc; all FM.its all a form of ritual w/ rules in freemason lodges

  • Joseph Smith Sr. and Hyrum Smith were both Master Masons while living in Palmyra. Smith also had at least one Maternal uncle who was a Freemason. There is evidence the Cowdrey was helping Morgan with his expose on Freemasonry when Morgan was killed. The Gadianton Robbers in the Book of Mormon was an attempt to play on the anti-Masonic sentiment in the area at the time because of Morgan's death.

  • U sound like a used car salesman, void of the spirit. you don't teach with the spirit of God. You teach with the spirit of contention which is the spirit of the devil. and your Christian faith is void of the authority. "having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof."

    You have itching ears!

  • Hey, if you want to see a lying used car salesman, look at my video Lying for the Lord. Talk about a decietful piece of shit, look at what Professor Robert Millet has to say. Horny Joe was a lying pig of a man.

  • When we understand the character of God, and know how to come to Him, he begins to unfold the heavens to us, and to tell us all about it. When we are ready to come to him, he is ready to come to us.

    History of the Church, 6:308.

  • I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. A large majority of the whole have stood by me. Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I.(History of The Church v6 pp. 408-409 quoting horny Joe)

  • BTW - he was dead a few weeks after making this speech.

  • yet he was humble and gentle as the savior. Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and was ordained by John the Baptist and Peter, James and John.

  • Did you know that in a sermon delivered May 26, 1844 he claimed that he only had one wife and anyone who would accuse him of polygamy was an evil liar? This was after he had married his 33rd wife.

Joseph Smith was clearly lying. Why would you trust someone like that?

  • You paint a picture that doesn't represent Joseph the way the Lord does. Joseph was married to them in name only and for the purpose of sealing. He never even procreated with them.

  • They said that he did; some of them had children that have been genetically linked to Joseph Smith; Emma recorded catching Joseph fucking one of his wives in the barn, and this is corroborated by Oliver Cowdery (but Joseph Smith discredited him earlier, in the D&C--so it didn't matter).

  • Bullshit. Eliza Snow said that if anyonelieved that Joseph was husband in name only, they did not know Joseph. Helen Mar Kimball (14 years old) said that if she had know what the marraige required, she would not have done it - because she thought it would be in name only. Emma caught Joseph in the barn with Fanny Alger.

  • Four separate women later said that their children were his children. More white washed crap from the Mormon Church. Read a little real history.

  • The Lord doesn't have anything to do with the way horny Joe is presented. It is the Mormon Church at is presenting him, and they are presenting a very different view than history.

  • Just as well, the wind-up scene does not mean that that is His coming. They state one thing and then state something completely different.

  • Wind up common usage is to finish or complete as in wind up the baseball season or winding up a project. So are you saying that wind up means something different to God? Was God just teasing? Was God just being coy?

  • 16 I was left thus, without being able to decide whether this coming referred to the beginning of the millennium or to some previous appearing, or whether I should die and thus see his face.

17 I believe the coming of the Son of Man will not be any sooner than that time.

  • Doctrine and Covenants 130:14-7;

14 I was once praying very earnestly to know the time of the coming of the Son of Man, when I heard a voice repeat the following:

15 Joseph, my son, if thou livest until thou art eighty-five years old, thou shalt see the face of the Son of Man; therefore let this suffice, and trouble me no more on this matter.

  • To all who watch this video: All of these things are taken horribly out of context. Let me give one example from D&C 130:14-7 where JS supposedly prophesied of Christ's 2nd coming:

  • Everything here is documented. I have provided documentation. Mormonism just tries to hide from its history. The 85 years was considered to be a good date until it didn't happen. Then there had to be excuses made. Typical tactics for Mormons.

  • And btw, JS made that section b4 that came to pass. The fact that he said he wasn't sure what the Lord meant would tell you that.

  • Lol I love how they use the moon scenario when it surfaced from a man who heard it from another man 37 years after JS's death.

  • People on the moon was reiterated by Brigham Young when he spoke of people on the sun. A patriarchal blessing was given about preaching on the moon.

  • lol no there wasn't dude. You've lost all credibility to me. I can't believe you trust these videos. The fact that you only preach part of things as seen earlier really shows who u r. Thanks for the time dude. It's been fun. I suppose you're the type that preaches Brigham Young taught it would be ok to thrust a javelin into your cheating wife's chest and be justified.

  • No but Briggy did teach that "Now, where a man in this church says, 'I don't want but one wife, I will live my religion with one' . . . when he gets there he will not find himself in possession of any wife at all. He has had a talent that he has hid up . . .he will not enjoy it but it will be taken and given to those who have improved the talents they received . . . he will find himself without any wife, and he will remain single forever and ever."

  • Suppose you found your brother in bed with your wife, an put a javelin through both of them, you would be justified, and they would atone for their sins, and be received into the kingdom of God. I would at once do so in such a case; and under such circumstances, I have no wife whom I love so well that I would not put a javelin through her heart, and I would do it with clean hands. But you who trifle with your covenants, be careful lest in judging you will be judged.

    JD 3:247, March 16, 1856

  • "In my patriarchal blessing, given by the father of Joseph the Prophet, in Kirtland, 1837, I was told that I should preach the gospel before I was 21 years of age; that I should preach the gospel to the inhabitants upon the islands of the sea, and -- to the inhabitants of the moon, even the planet you can now see with your eyes" (The Young Women's Journal 3:264, 1892).

  • Ok now I know you're either mislead or a liar. Let's look at all of what BY said. That whole quote from Brgham Young is taken waaay out of context by you. If I were to quote Matt. 10:34 which says "Think not that I am come to send peace. I came not to send peace, but a sword" that would make Christ sound like a war monger. I don't believe in a God who creates just so that he may destroy. So what was meant when the whole quote was read?

  • If you read the preceding text you'd know that your quote was taken otremendously out of context. BY read the account of Phineas (Num.25:6-9) and took a modern, literal interpretation applying ancient Israel to today. At the time some had committed adultery and he gave this scenario. He indicated that a man "with clean hands" that hadn't "trifled with his covenants" could exercise capital punishment on the spot upon someone who'd committed adultery, not that they were to themselves murder.

  • This entire speech was about blood atonement and the need to "spill your blood" to atone for certain crimes. Adultery was one of those crimes. Whether it was done then or later, BY was a big believer in blood atonement.

  • Lol nice try buddy. For all I know you're still copying and pasting. You're not even doing your own research so tyou've lost all credibility to me. So give it up already. And yeah you'd be right if the quote stood alone and he'd said that. Contrarty to what u may think we don't believe in blood atonement. We believe in repentance and asking for forgiveness. Unless u can quote to me in the D&C or BoM otherwise we're done here.

  • Blood Atonement was a core doctrine that the Mormon Church has now disavowed. It is still taught in many parts of "Zion." The early leadership talked about it a lot, and a number of people were killed because of blood atonement. That is why people like Lee Arthur Bishop requested a firing squad rather than leathal injection in the 1980s.

  • I don't much care about my credibilty with you. It is Mormonism on trial here, not me. Look up Blood Atonement. Here is a more recent quote:

In a 1994 article entitled "Concept of Blood Atonement Survives in Utah Despite Repudiation," Peggy Fletcher Stack, staff writer for the Salt Lake Tribune, wrote, "In the past decade, potential jurors in every Utah capital homicide were asked whether they believed in the Mormon concept of 'blood atonement'" (11/5/94, p.D1),

  • For some the only way to be saved and exalted with the Gods is to have their own blood shed. "Will you love your brothers or sisters likewise, when they have committed a sin that cannot be atoned for without the shedding of blood? Will you love that man or woman well enough to shed their blood?" Journal of Discourses, vol. 4, p. 219 (1857)

  • That is what Jesus Christ meant. ... I could refer you to plenty of instances where men have been righteously slain, in order to atone for their sins." Loving our neighbor as ourselves means spilling his blood if that is what is necessary. Journal of Discourses, vol. 4, p. 220

  • Again you're just plagiarizing in different words. U don't have anything for urself. So until I know u do and u don't act like they're your own I'm not gonna answer. How bout u try and answer them for urself?

  • In dealing with people like you, I prefer to use your books and references. The stuff I am providing to you proves that you are wrong. Whgat more do I need to add? I don't need to add commentary in addition to the quotes from your own books. It is not plagerizim because I am giving you specific quotes and documenting the source.

  • riiiiggghhhttt. U documented nothing. All ur questions to me were from angelfire. Did u not see my response to u yesterday? I saw all ur questions word for word on the same website. Angelfire is much like wikipedia/myspace. They're all personal accounts from UNdocumented sources.

  • The anachronisms I listed were from anglefire. They have a good summary of some of them. They all have the Book of Mormon references listed. Would you like more? How about the honey bee. I cannot live for a year in an enclosed space.

  • It was included in the list of things brought by the Jaradites. There is no evidence of pre Columbian honey bees of the same genus and species in the Americas.

  • How about windows in the barges? God said that he could not put windows in because they would be "dashed apart." The only glass prior to the first century AD was obsidian, which is black, lump material used for making beads. Clear glass was not discovered until the second century CE and plate glass in the 11th century.

  • I can go into whatever level of detail you like on any of the specific items.

  • But the most influential man who repeated it was Brigham Young. Also, the man who was blessed that he would go preach to people on the moon wrote an article for the Young Women's journal. So what if Joseph didn't say it? Brigham Young said it and the prophet's secretary.

  • The Mormon church is true no matter what evidence you find or what videos you make. Joseph may have said men live on the moon, but he was probably just joking around. He did have a sense of humor you know. I testify that he was a prophet. I know because I prayed and GOD, get it, GOD told me Joseph was a prophet.

  • ichbinarbeiten, I am so sorry fo you. Are you really that simple minded? Did you check your brain at the door? Testiphoney and three bucks will get you Starbucks.

  • Realizing that all human logic can do is give flickering glimpses and illusions of reality is rather in intelligent approach. I'm not advocating, in any way, the abandonment of logic or reason. But the realization that human mental capacity is inherently deficient on most macro issues is the beginning of wisdom-not simple mindedness.

  • You are advocating the abandonment of logic and reason in favor of a warnm fuzzy feeling. You are fighting against a tide of human understanding with faulty logic. I can cause a Mormon spiritual experience with voice cadance, tone, volume, body language and intensity. I have done it. Testiphony is worthless.

  • OK, Section 130 of the D&C gives the same time period in different words. 15: "Joseph, my son, if thou livest until thou art eighty-five years old, thou shalt see the face of the Son of Man; therefore let this suffice, and trouble me no more on this matter."

  • I think that counts as a failed prophecy, no? Or was he in spirit prison for 46 years after his death?

  • "if thou livest" he didn't. God never said he would.

  • He didn't live to be 85. And the Lord never said that "at the time you would turn the age of 85 the second coming will happen"

  • Ohhh, so when God told him that he was going to return, God was playing a game of semantics with Joseph and the early church. He was being evasive and coy. It was a joke, or he was "Lying for the Lord." That does not sound like any God I want to worship. He sounds like an ass.

  • Does quantum mechanics sound like any physics theory you want to use? It has seeming contradictions throughout it. The fact is that all contradictions you perceive are merely the results of your finite perception. And even saying it's finite is an understatement. You have no sense of ultimate context THAT is the source of your claimed discrepancies. Ignorance is your source.

  • HiveRadical, you are beyond belief. I would rather use quantum mechanics than testiphony for the basis of my belief. At least there is some basis. Do you believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny as well?

  • Quantum Mechanics involves things arriving before the leave, being in more than one place at a given moment. Can you do the math to demonstrate why those seemingly logical dichotomies are not such?

  • I am not a mathmatician or a physicist. Can you show me the math of the Mormon God, or testimony, or the Holy Ghost? Can you place a value on where credible evidence leaves off and belief in the occult begins?

  • Do you then deny the Quantum Theorists for their 'obvious' contradictions? Or do you trust your 'testiphony' of their capacity to give you a proper codex for some of the law that governs existence?

  • I don't need to understand everything about science. I have been to and sat through lectures on quantum mechanics. It is science and science is always pushing boundries. Mormonism rejects known science in favor of fables and magic dust.

  • Do you realize how much you are having to twist that around in order to get it to not say what it says?
