@MissJLLawliet Thanks! Until I listen to Marvin, I did not realize Mr. Rickman's voice is more than Severus Snape. I think he made Snape tone purposely darker with gaps between word, while Marvin's tone is depressed but more deadpan humor.

I love the way this movie Marvin looks like, he would of course be even better if they've gotten the right voice - no offence Alan rRckman, but Steven Moore, of the BBC Radioplay version, is the one and only true Marvin voice.

But then, of course, as much as I like this movie, the best if not only medium for the Hichthikers Guide to the Galaxy is Radio!!!

I just notice in the scene with the Vogons, in front of Dent's house, the Vogons guns are still firing even when their are not "lazer bolts" coming out. It is as if the director had just given up at that point. Despite the low budget and less then stellar acting the old mini series was actually better, with the exception of Sam Rockwell. THHGTTG just did not work on the 'big screen'. If you have not, please, please read the book!
