These men spoke from the heart. They didn't just tell others what they wanted to hear, like Mitt Romney does. But Ron Paul is a different, he's like one of these men. Calling for a return to the REPUBLIC, and ending the empire.
Dickinson was proved wrong, but he could have easily been right. It's only in hindsight that he seems foolish. America winning the war against the might of the British Empire was pretty unlikely. So don't judge the guy too harshly.
this is real American history and what it took to gain Independence and become the U.S. Honestly all that "Illuminati" bullshit and secret society bullshit conspiracy is dishonorable to the American Revolution. Ignorant people that forget our most important era of history of our country.
if the 13 colonies did not declare indpendence, how different would history have been? i suspect not that different. The US would probably still be a superpower but with a parliamentary system of government like Canada.
Words such as these are important to hear once and again, simply to remind us of what we're about. In the haze of politics and partisan rhetoric, true words such as these are the only compass by which to steer through the turbulent waters.

This was such an incredible scene. Much of it was taken from transcripts from the actual debate.
