My question is: it seems to me that the speed of the video is fluctuating : maybe 50% of the time it seems like real time vid, and maybe 50% like its having some compression or transmission problem. Is it a youtube or video editing problem or do you know whats causing it? Whats it like when your flying is it fully ok?

What you said on your blogspot is the same thing I used to think about on long trips, about looking out the window and wishing I was flying an R/C airplane alongside the car. Or driving my R/C car alongside the car. Also, when we were out on the boat, I would want to be driving an R/C boat alongside our boat. I'v always assumed that I was the only one who ever thought that. Wow!
nope, I think that way all the time. It is really cool though to actually know that someone else has the same dream. As soon as my new batteries get here I will try another long distance flight. Thanks for watching man!
The furthest I have gone is about 1 mile. And in order to do that I have to be at really high altitude. Any further then that and my RC link gives out.
The video equipment is capable of 3 miles with the right antennas.
I might suggest something like a pcmcia video capture card (if you have pcmcia support) I have been fairly happy with it in my setup and they cost around $35 I believe. it could also just be your laptop's speed,ram etc. I guess... But thought I would throw my $.02

Thanks, yeah flying low to the ground is really fun especially when there is objects to fly thru or around.

yes when I'm flying its not a problem, its my laptop. Sometimes it drops frames during the recording process, and sometimes it doesn't.

Good flying job. It's a shame the video didn't come out smoother. Lots of dropped frames and stuttering seen.

Yeah I am gonna try something. I'm hoping I can find a camcorder or something that records video line in. Maybe upgrade the laptop

Thanks man, yes all I did was change out the antenna. The other antenna I was using ended up being broken.
