fukudome is a solid player but will never be an elite like geo will and i think fukudome is so "great" because people hype him up because hes japanese. GO CUBBIES!
fukudome is a well rounded player and always a good asset to any team, but hes never gonna be the star player, unless hes with the pirates. sotos getting ROY. that pretty much goes without saying.
Any of the two would work but I'm gonna have to go with Fukudome because his patience at the plate as trickled down to the other players, therefore, his presence is more meaningful to the team....but Soto would work too lol
But what has Fukudome really done?He has played in Japan's Pro Baseball league for about ten years so of course he is going to have more patience and experience.I say Soto because he has ten homeruns, 39+ RBIs, thrown out 40% of the basestealers, blocks everything, tied for second or first in the national league for doubles, and is in the top ten for nearly eveything else, defensively and offesivey. The only thing Fukudome has done is made some nice plays in the outfield and has some timely hits

Fukudome is terrible...and that's coming from a Cubs fan. He's a 48 million dollar defensive replacement.
