well, I was raised in a country side of Dominican republic and where i lived and slept...it wasnt uncommon to find a snake, tarantula, rats, and other creapy crawler right next to you where you slep. i used to pour gas on the spiders and snakes and burn them. A rat/mouse is more afraid of you and would like nothing more than to get away from you ASAP!
