did yo' jest say "ya'll???"........we's a thankin' yo' might be a Sister ta sume of we countryboys{an' gals}.....feel free to drop by an, set a'Spell!!....good luck...=D
thanks, i play and do my own strumming and was told that I wasn't doing it "by the book".....................I just do it as to how I am feeling the song, so will continue...thanks!! You're awesome. I play by ear, so don't have a clue of patterns...lol!!!
You have a beautiful speaking voice. You articulate words in a very clear way. You should do and audio book lol. I like the way your very calm . You relax the viewer I think its wonderful what you are doing for people. There needs to be more vids like this
I enjoyed this video very much and I am not sure if it is because I think you are beautiful or you have such a sweet soul. I would imagine hearing you singing around the place would be quite angelic. Thank you for taking the time to explain this. I would like to mimic many and say you would be a great guitar teacher. Be well. Thanks again.
this is the best guitar lesson I have ever seen. i have always had a problem with following the exact rhythm of the guitar in various songs. i am definetly gonna try your tip. thanks a lot
@Kappadanielson haha no not you. i was referring to your creepy fan boy who was calling you gorgeous, which isnt to say you aren't, but i just found it a bit odd. i like the vid a lot by the way, slainte!
Hey thanks, I was having trouble singing & playing at the same time, but the rhythm idea you said is helping me out a bit. I can't sing well either, but you sound like you sing fantastic :)
Kappa I couldn't agree more with you. When you're playing a song on the acoustic you try to get it to sound like the entire song. That's true. Well that's how I play it anyway.
I fingerpick 80% of what I play but mostly a blugrass low to high strum in everything else but often it depends upon the chords involved as to where the strum starts.
I'm somewhere in between a beginner and intermediate and had mostly done finger picking. I've been trying to get into strumming so I can pick up and play songs more quickly. I had been stumbling towards a method like yours of getting a feel for the rhythm. But you really cemented the concept and broke things down in a way that can be followed. I especially like the advice to mute the strings to get a feel for the strumming rhythm.
Thanks for the great lesson. Turn the Page is one of my all time favorites and your method is right on. Sorry about some insensitive comments of others- keep doing what you do.
Im with you!!! i use pretty much the same technique for figuring out my strum patterns, people always tell me im strumming songs wrong but i feel it makes the song sound more natural especially on an acoustic. Kudos to you for posting this vid!!!
you have noooo idea how much this has helped me with this songg!! hha when you were like losin up with the pick, i did...and t flw right ito my gutar ahah, it was great.
You are a "Natural" with a great talent. I can tell you are a sweet, kind-hearted person and can sense you want other people to discover their own talents too? Great video.
ich totally agree with cbrb40. Even though you teach things I already know, I watch your tutorials because I like your beautiful natural way of explaining the things. You might not be a guitar teacher, but it couldn't be explained better. :-)
You make a great teacher especially for beginners. You have a great style with your strumming and picking Kappa. And I love your beautiful sweet personality. :)) You have the most beautiful speaking voice besides the most beautiful singing voice. :))
I'm like spellbound when I watch your videos. lol And that's a good thing. :))
Ha....no....not really....I just wing it....I pretty much taught myself....well soaking up whatever information I could from anyone I could along the way....:)) But people email me asking me what I'm doing....so I thought I would show them and maybe help out a little....THANKS...:))
You say your not a guitar teacher, but you just explained exactly the theory of strumming. You must feel the patteren to install it in your brain, your hand only does what your brain tells you, and your brain only inputs what you teach it. Perfectly explained Kappa!
I AM HYPNOTISED. u seem to be an amazing woman. i felt all relaxed and happy when i watched this:) thank u for the lesson!

I play the exact same way as you, works for me.
To some it may be hard to understand but with practice as she's teaching will get you to also learn it.
