  • You can install ram backwards... ive seen a retard do it... he needs this vid

  • to expensive here in Brasil, but is a amazing ram !

  • will two of these ft over 4x4 dimms on a Rampage X79 extreme? Is it also compatible with other 240 style memory? like G-skill?

  • It it possible to replace the fans on these coolers? I want to put lit fans on my build. I'm assuming this will void the warranty but I'm not too fussed about that.

If so what size fans will work?

  • @nikanj This I want, wait NEED to know

  • As I saw your GIANT video card and MONSTER CPU fan, I thought: WTF!?!?!?!?!?!

  • Will that memory fit if I have a Coolermaster V10 CPU Cooler?

  • Hey I have a DDR2 RAM.. Diffrent company.. Can I put my Corsair Airflow Dominator to it?

  • Can you buy the fan separately? I have Ram from a different company!

  • hey guys i was wondering im going to buy 4 *2 corsair ram total 8gb of ddr3 1600mhz but i have a asus p7p55d evo motherboard so i will put the 2 rams in the blue and the other on the black ram slots???? and it will read as 8gb???? please help...

  • ram is easier to install then a freaken harddrive

  • if you buy this memory and you dont know how to install memory, you deserve to die

  • dont snap yr motherboard ;)

  • I have this stuff, it's V good.

  • if i get two sets of these can i put two of the fans that come with it on?

  • @firetruckracer It's not necessary. The one fan covers all four sockets.

  • @CorsairMemoryInc thanks, you just got a sale. :D

  • no static wrist wire?

  • what happens if you install them on two different colors?

  • nothing... doesnt matter

  • @lorenzol1996

you dont get dual/triple channel :D

  • im having an corsair dominator this is fucking loud

  • doe the sus m4a78t-e support this awesome kickass ram ?

  • Do you have to use a fan on this memory?

  • Few months ago when corsair dominator ddr3 first came out it was $154 for 6GB 1600Mhz at frys electronics, and now it costs $198, unbeilevable, because electronics usually go down in price not up.

  • @redflw, well DDR2 memory has almost doubled, and that's DDR2!!!! It should still go down...

Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR2-800 memory was about £51 or £52 in May 09, and in Oct 09, it was about £96 or £98

    ridiculous!

  • Very helpful. Thx

  • Thats not large... The cooler Master GeminII is large not this...

  • ..hmm...school for children...

  • @div5730 you sat it! thats the easyest! but for people they dont know it its okay!

  • @div5730 actually it's good with these videos if you get stuck better be safe then sorry

  • I am a noob and I'm confused about RAM, if I have like 8gb RAM that is cheap and nasty, is that worse than having something like 4gb of performance RAM?

  • depends on wut you do with it

  • at the moment i would recommend getting 4GB of some good memory because most applications or games or w.e your running can run perfectly on 4GB.

  • OK thanks, I have 4GB of XMS2 and 2GB of Dominator memory so 6GB in total.

  • You probably can't put dominator RAM if you have a Cooler Master V10 and you forget trying the fan.

  • would these fit if i have the zalman 9700?

  • yea, fine, that cooler is pointer more upwards than towards the memory

  • it depends, is the memory DDr2 or DDR3? and which does your mobo support?

  • good video

  • I don't know about you mobo but on mine there is another port on the other side of the ram slots.

  • Does the P5Q Pro (P45) motherboard support the corsair Dominator DDR2 1066MHz RAM?

If not are there any bios that will enable me to use the dominator in my motherboard?

  • You can use Dominator 1066Mhz memory with ur mobo

  • indeed it does and vista counts this memory as a 5,9 experience system rating.

  • ive got windows 7, with 8GB of the 1066 on an ASUS P6Q-E and a q 6600 and i get 7.3.

  • maybe its the 1024 thing 1024 ->k and 1000-> k so your supplier may have used the 1000 and windows uses the 1024 method

  • lol. not a 7.3GB, 7.3 on the index.

BTW: that 1024/1000 thing never happens on ram.

  • i only get a 5.5 lol i thought you ment the ram :P

  • what are the washers for that came w/ the fan

  • can u use the fan on other brand Ram like Patriot or only for Corsair only?

  • u can use it on any ram..

  • can you tell me if that fan can hold upto 4 sticks of memory? or do i have to buy a bigger fan that can cool 4 sticks? or is it one sizes fits all....thanks

  • one size fits all ;)

  • This is exactly what I was looking for thanks. I wanted to know how the fan was attached to the motherboard because I dont think they were designed for 6RAM slots, but if its a simple clamp mechanic.. I guess I should still be able to use it

  • very helpful thanks

  • good

  • have any problem if the motherboard (mobo) has only two slots for memory, the cooler will fit well or even have to have 4 slot for memory?

  • I have a very similar Zalman CPU cooler and it blocks me installing DXH RAM into the first slot. No biggies as I just use the last 2 slots (my board has the dual channel set up like that).

  • Does the fan come with it when you purchase the dual channel kit (meaning "2" of each 1GB or 2GB RAM in it) or do you have to buy it separately? And as for the Tri Channel versions of Corsair Dominator RAMs, does this fan cover 6 RAM slots, or just 4 RAM slots.

  • The fan is included and thats all I know.

  • no because the asus rampage has a few resisters or w/e around the ram slots blocking the clamps of the fans

  • Is applying the fan really necessary? I'm not going to overclock it anyways... :P

  • no the fan is not nessisary just looks cool

  • Your accent sounds so Swedish... Weird and the info is good! THANX.

  • Sounds more like southern American lol.

  • i always hate installing ram, it puts lots of pressure on the MOBO, just lookat how it bends!

  • yeah i always flip out installing ram or heatsinks

  • so well - how do you install/remove these fragile memorymodules when u got four of them installed ? This "howto" came far after that a lot of people have destroyed their XMS memorymodules

  • Really useful video. I too have a large CPU heatsink (zalman CNPS8700) similar to the one in the video and I have to keep 1 video card in the top PCI-E slot to keep 16x speeds. I was worried that the dominator fan may contact with the back of the GPU and cause problems.

Does anyone know if the if the dominator fan can be easily moded with 40mm blue LED low profile chipset fans? It looks like they might fit, and with some wiring they could all connect up to a 4-pin molex.

  • I've got a question. I'm buying a Quad Q6600 based PC. Is there any point in buying this 4GB Dominator RAM? I was told that that a 32bit based system can only read up to 2GB RAM so is there any point in buying 4GB, which is what I would like to do.

  • You can (in theory) go up to 4 gigs of RAM with a 32bit OS, if your going for more you will need the 64bit. I not entirely sure if the 32bit will fully support the 4096mb of ram, could be a bit less. But for optimal use i would recommend getting the 64bit version. Someone correct me if i am wrong.

  • I'm not sure about 32-bit Vista, but XP absolutely will not utilize more than 2.5GB. The amount shown to be available will vary from system to system. Some get 2.75GB, others 3.25GB. Installing the full 4GB isn't a problem; it's just that a 32-bit OS won't take full advantage of the available memory. If you plan to use your system primarily for gaming, 2GB is plenty since most games won't approach that kind of usage. I would suggest 4GB however if you go for the full Vista experience.

  • XP 32 and Vista 32 both only support 3.25GB of ram, if you wish to have any higher you will need to get 64Bit for both XP and Vista.

  • dude not 3.25 microsoft has ensured that all 4gb ram is being used in system specific stuff like the OS,you know.

  • ????? i have 4 gig in vista 32bit basic crysis uses every bit of it!!!!

  • ive got a question for you! well first thanks for the video ^.^

so my question is, whats the benefit of running memeory in dual channel? or is there any other option? im in the process of upgrading everything in my pc and all the mobos ive looked at say "dual Channel"

what all does it mean? or do? or help?

    :)

  • If you have a Dual Channel Ram give you much faster loading speed then a Non-Dual Channel Ram.

  • ok cool thanks for the reply! i had been wondering if there was any benefit-- and there is! ^.^

  • Dual channal is a pair of dimm sticks(ram modules) are fitted in the colour coded slots on the board.

  • does Corsair Dominator Airflow Cooling Fan fits with Kingston ram?

  • DDR2 is still better than DDR3 at this moment in time.

  • are the ddr3 modules worth it these days? arent the latencies yet too high to outreach ddr2 modules in performance?

  • well, but motherboard model? and what's motherboard FSB? Thanks

  • Excellent video. Thanks for your help it's awesome, thanks you so much.

  • im getting these

  • hell of a nice vid

  • wtf
