HI!! thx for the behind the scene vid. I'm still undecided about transfers from 4 yrs University to Full Sail. The money is really a big prob here. I read a lots of review that the student was not able to finance even with loan and financial aid. I just want to ask you is Full Sail worthed and was you able to get a job right after?? Thx
You do realize that 90% of schools of a specific nature are nationally accredited through the ACCSC right? Some credits transfer, some don't. Not many universities offer Advanced Concert Media Design classes so naturally they won't accept your credits.
Wow, you guys have got it good. I would kill for that equipment. Arri cameras and Mole Richardson 10k's. At my school all we have are Panasonic HVX's and Arri D2 kits (the highest watt bulb being 650w). One thing's for certain, we don't have a friggin' sound stage! Incredibly lucky...
You find me a community college that will teach you as well as full sail will. Considering the hands on time and the people who have come out obviously their doing something right.
Lessons in camera operation, editing techniques, lighting etc. are taught at community college earning the student a two year A.S. degree in Film for under $7,000.00. A Full Sail 21 month degree cost over $70,000.00 in tuition alone and the credits are non-transferable to state universities like a community college degree. Exactly what is it about the Full Sail degree that makes it worth "ten times" the cost. Student loans debt really sucks. I'm not saying..I'm just saying.
@tbx1000 GI Bill paid for all of it. Just because we made our way into college doesn't mean you have to complain about your community college. By the way, over 100 graduates have been associated with most of 2011 major Blockbuster productions. I have no idea if you will read this 3 years later since your probably living with your mom or on the street. :(
I would hope at Full Sail they would teach you audio mixing because you failed. While I personally didnt care much for the song, I would have rather herd the dialogue. You have your soundtrack way too hot and the dialogue sucks.
Well Lex BOI you wouldn't know what the fuck you're talking about but thats probably par for the course with you.
#1This class is taught 10 months before audio post. so no, I wouldn't know any of that shit.
#2 no one gives a fuck about audio post. we hire audio people and pay them money for that shit and NO, i didn't pay anyone for my YOUTUBE project fuckin moron
#3 I dont give a fuck if you wanna hear dialogue. Why dont you pay the 70 grand, go there yourself and listen to the dialogue.
@gta345 <--- HATER. Don't hate me cuz your shitty ass "epic zombie" shit sucked dick. You're probably a huge tool which is why you make epic zombie movies for youtube on your imac with your dvx100 fag. I'm off to edit for televsion-- but thanks for checking out my other work while you're off wishing you had a job other than hating on people who have way more popular videos than you do.
@gta345 I would like to say that they teach us to avoid any issues you might have had with this or any other full sail video. I can see that Threeboyzz was concentrated more on showing the behind the scenes, so you can't really bash him for the quality of the video. If you've ever seen a behind the scenes clip on a DVD, they are rarely edited with the tenacity of the actual film. Mainly I just wanted to point out that a lot of good films do come from FS students; one just won an ASC award.
Hey Man thanks alot you've just answered the question ive been waiting to be answerd the comment "I had A GPA 1.4" ,cause ive been wondering what kind of grades they look for everybody tells me that you dont need them but that was hard to bleive i have a gpa of 1.6 in 10th grade thanks so much man!
well judging by your video and the who's who of idiots in it and the extremely mature comment you left here i'm pretty sure it's not a "pinpont" accusation but a fact.
and in response to the latter part of your comment, leave the wit to professionals and stick to making laughable videos with lame music in it.
I was already excited about going after finishing up here at UCF. This package just made me even MORE excited. We had pretty kick ass equipment in high school, but this stuff makes me need a towel... Great job guys!
YOUR SCHOOL OWNS MULTIPLE ARRICAM LITES!!!! THAT IS FUCKEN AWESOME! How much does your school cost per year? Come on... I know it isn't government funder... tell the truth... 1 Billion dollars a year?
I had a 1.4. Seriously. They dont look at SAT or grades. Its a private technical school and they aren't held to the same standards normal government funded universities must follow. They also realize a lot of the students who didn't get great grades can still have talents other than math or science. If you have a dream and a high school diploma, they want you...
did you really mean "Except" or did you mean Accept. I'm a homeschooler, basically the schools suck in Georgia, and issues popped up which require me to get a GED, partly because no fully because my work got eaten by a monster called "Fire", do you think they will "Accept" me if I tell them this? I don't know how they treat GED students.
GED is the same as a high school diploma in their eyes. Remember more than half of any given industry are people who never even graduated college and sometimes not ever high school. Its a matter of who you know, getting your foot in the door and getting experience. Full Sail isn't necessary, but it certainly helps those who take advantage of it
can anyone tell me da song before the linkin park one?...im tryin hard as hell 2 remeber lol...n can n e 1 tell me about the recording arts and music business program over there...im planning on attending october 08
Neo, the 35mm is the last class of the film program. The instructors take a step back and hide in the shadows while they observe the students run the show.
Really cool guys, I am just finishing EBBS, and this kind of gives me a good insight into what your side of the school works like. I wanna get into film sound, either audio-post or productions sound. Thanks a bunch!
difference is, you can get a 50,000 dollar loan for school. Try getting that money to make a movie. Unless you have that kinda money already in which case, why even consider school?
i liked ur video but what im saying is u can get the same education value from a handful of good books. Plus make some inexpensive short films with lesser equipment BEFORE u shoot on expensive film with expensive equipment so ur shorts won't suck but "look pretty on screen". then again if u did land 50k scholarship more power to ya. cya in hollywood.
problem is, no matter how good at making films I am, there are always a handful of kids in every class that drag productions down because they DONT know what they're doing. So although making short films before school would better MY understanding of things, the shorts the school makes would not nessesarily be any better. You make a very good point overall though. kinda like the bar scene from Good Will Hunting

I'm about to go to Full Sail for film and let me just say this...
1) No one ever said that ANYTHING was easy. Just like a traditional four year college, you still have to work to get into the film business.
2) With that said, how the fuck do you have the right to criticize this school if you've never been.
3)Just because SOME act like idiots, doesn't mean everyone there is an idiot and that some of us ARE passionate about our education in this field.
4) Money is tight where ever you go people.
