  • that tom thing stinks at the beginning bro. lol. God said make a joyful noise though. it definately is not bad at all. and nice kit.

  • @pekingolf2509 LOL. was pretty bad

  • keep up with your work, i see how much of Gods works is in you... keep going...i like it alot! God Bless u

  • @xxwiseman2k2xx Thanks so much for the encouraging words. God bless u

  • You don't need a kit like that to play these songs.. It almost seems like it's restraining your movements, since getting round the kit looks real unnatural, but that is just my opinion (:

  • it's not too bad. especially if you don't have any "natural" movement to begin with. lol. I'm just floundering around the kit. lol. I don't even know what I'm doing half the time

  • God has Truly Blessed you with Talent. I enjoy watching your videos. Good Luck, and God Bless!

  • I appreciate that a lot. Not everybody thinks that. lol. but it's cool. I don't do it for myself anyways(even though these practice times do help). God bless

  • amazing cover man! love your drum setup. keep up the great work!

  • thank you. i really appreciate that.

  • good job i really liked it

  • thanks

  • Should I get the Ride? What is it again?

  • Awesome dude! Very nice!

  • thanks friend. all glory to God

  • Nice Cover...You are awesome...

    I love Casting Crowns..

PRAISE AND WORSHIP OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.....AMEN

  • thanks. God bless you!

  • i feel bad cuz i play heels down double bass everyone plays heels up...even on single pedals!

  • everyone has their own style. its really about what works best for ya. heels down is hard

  • what is playing open handed?

  • niiiiiice vid i gotta say, never heard this song but it's deep. nice cover, tho as alwaysd lol

  • thanx. and open handed playing is when a right handed drummer doesn't play cross handed. he plays hats w/ the left and snare w/ the right instead of the other way around

  • SWEET! and np. I play open handed normaly!

  • o and also i LOVE the two cymbal things u do in ur fills in this 1, like at 3:14 and 3:25 :D and iu love the drums at beggining, caught my ear attention

  • you still need a little work. try playing w/a click. need some work on the tempo

  • any need for the gray? aha, nice video

  • lol. no specific reason, but after you make several vids, you try to find new ways to keep things mixed up

  • cool, i wanted to play everyman by these guys although i never knew how to play it and you're drum cover is nice but too complex for my lil ol electronic set, poo :'(

  • i've actually got a cover of everyman on here. and i'm sure if you break this song down, you'll do great, even w/ the electric set

  • ill try it, except it'll be a lil bad sounding at first, only got my drums the second of april or so...

  • ok. cool

  • on the verse when your on the hi-hats i think its 8th notes not 16th but still sounded good and not only if open handed meaning that left handed players, do some things liek that too , hey dude check out my video of me drumming at my talent show, just search: drumming at my church talent show :)

  • thanx. yeah, ur rite about the 8th notes. just spicing it up a bit. i'll check out that vid

  • what snare is that and what heads do u have?! i love it

  • thank you. it's the stock pearl export snare w/ an evans genera dry head. the other heads are g2 coated

  • whats the difference between normal and open handed?? brilliant cover, really enjoyed that! banging it out for the Lord!!

  • thanx friend! open handed is playing the hats w/ your left hand and snare w/ right. "normal" is playing cross handed. hats w/ right hand and snare w/ left

  • dude , i cant wait till i get that good, im still a beginner, good job :)

  • i'm still learning every day. just hang in there and keep practicing

  • What iz that on ur hi-hat?

  • it's called a hat trick

  • you are amazing man just wondering if you could do some classic songs like i'll fly away i have had trouble with that at my church where i play the drums.

  • thanx. that's a great idea. we do the old hymns every service. i'll fly away is one of my favs, let me figure out how to get some music on to show you. keep watching

  • good cover

  • thank you. have a Merry Christmas

  • I take it back I know what you mean. haha

  • haha. cool

  • what do you mean by Open handed? it doesn't look any different from your other videos

  • what type of kit?

  • pearl export

  • thanx

  • Man, if u can play open handed thats just awesome. I have tried it so many times, and it just does not work for me, but anyways, u r really good, i just wish that my church was a bit bigger so i can play for Jesus more often than i do, its just so much fun

  • yeah, the open handed thing is a challenge. mind over matter. and hang in there, keep praying. God will open a door for you to play for Him

  • where do you tune all your toms and snares

  • at the church usually

  • YAY!! i was looking for this one!

    God bless

  • yay!lol. glad u found it. thanx and God bless u

  • you should try we will remember thats a fun one to play

  • You are an Awesome Drummer! I love Casting Crowns. You done a great job!

    ~God Bless~

  • why, thank you very much!

  • r u playing in a church in tucson cuz its looks like 1 ive been to

  • no, actually im in South Carolina

  • o becuz it looks just like srry for the dumb comment. ;(

  • it's cool. not a dumb comment

  • thx :)

  • OOOH left hand hi-hat, nice, I cannot pull that off.

  • it's very challenging. i can only do it on certain songs for some reason. i guess cuz i think about it too much. lol. but it does look really cool

  • your really good at this!

wat kind of sticks do you use?

  • thanx. i believe i'm using the Regal Tip 7A jazz combo stick

  • this is very good, but one request...could you turn the music down just a little bit on the quieter parts so that you can hear the drums better? It sounds fine on the big loud parts like the chorus but on the intro and stuff it sounds really quiet and overpowered by the music.

  • thank you. yeah, i sometimes hate posting to youtube b/c it can ruin your sound and mix when it gets uploaded and compressed. u r rite, the music in the quiet parts isn't loud enough. God bless

  • ok first, your videos have tought me tons. ive watched this one memerised what you gotta do to play it same with tons of them. so just thanks for puting them up on youtube, you are amazing. keep it up and keep doing this for the Lord.

"for athousand tunghs to sing the mighy song of the Lord"

  • that is so awesome! i'm really glad i can take what God has taught me and share with others. keep playing for His glory and thanx for the encouragement

  • Praise God! You're soooo good!! It's awesome. I've been praying and talking with God and I think He's leading me to the guitar, but I'll always keep watching your vids. I still like the drums very much!! Keep up the fantastic work!

  • thank you very much! that's encouraging. i've recently picked up the guitar myself and it's really blessed my heart to play for God. i appreciate you still watching the vids. got another one coming today

  • One question. How do you get so many views?

  • views, as in video views? i guess just word of mouth and the good Lord backing me to get His message of these songs out there. it just kinda took off one day. pray about that and God will help you get some views. it also helps to have good "tag" words too. that may help. hope you get some views bro

  • I forgot to wright the rest.

So just trust in God and he will bring it to pass if it is his will.

    NEVER GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!

  • amen to that! the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. which means i do need to hang in there with my prayers. thanx for the encouragement

  • Hey, Great cover I think it is your best.

Also, with your band situation. I only been playing for 4 years and I have been blessed with a band. The guitarists have been playing for 20+ years.

  • wow! what a blessing. it's always nice to have someone in there with you with some experience. praise God for that!

  • thanks for doing the request appreciate it

if i can't get a song down i come watch your videos!

    -GOD BLESS

  • amen bro! you're welcome. that's what i try to do. help others w/ the knowledge God gives me. no sense in being stingy w/ what God gives me. keep on playing for Him

  • what's the set you got? good work btw, just work on the timing a bit. you got a bit off on one part

  • thanx. it's a pearl export. thanx for watching and for the comments

  • jeez, you can make a video of any song, thats how good you are!!! you should become a pro dummer for a band!!! and have you ever played in a band b4??? well if not then idk what the other guys are up there for, cuz you can out drunm, them anyday!! but most of them have been at it for 30+ years...lol any thanx for making these vids! GREAT ENTERTAINMENT!!!!

    God Bless, my friend!!!

  • man! you have know idea how encouraging that is. God has blessed me immensely in the almost 3 short years i've been playing. the only band i play in is the church's 3 piece band. i'm still praying, that if it be in His will, i will be in a band to play for His glory. i have faith, He'll send me someone. God bless you and pray for me

  • Sick job dude!!!!!!!! That's an awesome song and you nailed it!!!!!!

    GOD BLESSSSS

  • wow bro, thanx very much. all glory to God

  • hey man, great drumming! God is Good!!! I was wondering if you had to ask permission to post these drum covers or if we can go ahead and do this on YouTube. I've got some Christian stuff I'd like to post. Thanks! - Brian

  • lol. i just post and make sure i give the artist credit and that it's not my material. some people put the copyright info in their description, but that call's up to you. and thanx for the comment

  • your sound is great as always

    i like your style! =)

    god bless ya

  • thank you very much bro

  • this may be corrected by the time u guys read this, but not sure why my replies to comments and some comments made are messed up on here. i guess youtube can't process that much info in that short amount of time. i've also noticed on some of my other vids, positive comments were made and it showed a "thumbs down" following that comment. anyways, sorry about that guys

  • 5 stars Buddy, great work. Keep them coming.

  • thanx man. u keep those vids comin too

  • Yep, got seven coming up this morning. Pretty tough ones too.

    Take Care.

  • lol. i've not seen much of anything you do that's not pretty tough and then you ace them like the pro that you are. look forward to them bro. God bless

  • I know some people who can't chew gum and walk but Stan can chew gum AND play drums. Awesome!

  • haha. like pattin your head and rubbin your stomach. lol. i have to chew gum when i play, don't know why, but i do. so yeah, guess you could say i was multi-tasking. lol. God bless!

  • yeah...ive noticed that..stan does always chew gum..i cant play and chew at the same time..nice stan

  • WOW! THAT WAS AMAZING! God bless you and keep doing what you do for Him.

  • amen to that! i will as long as He allows me. thank you

  • hey bro nice job, one suggestion...in the bridge, crash on the accents on the words much, high, and price. I saw them last saturday and Andy is phenomenal and thats what he did. Good cover over all, the tom part is tricky aint it:)

  • thanx friend. yeah Andy is a great drummer and i luv his open handed style. and yeah, u r right, i missed some cymbal cues on the bridge as well as other places. and yeah on the tom part, for the most part i'm somewhat correct, but i think he may be playin 4 on the floor there, but oh well, lol

  • Nice brother!!!

Keep it up,and great song choice!!!

    God bless

  • thanx bro, God bless u!

  • oooo i see you are using open hand style of drumming...its so hard for me to switch it up...but i heard that u can make more fills with the open right hand...great job as always!

  • yeah, u have more room to move your hands. i luv it and it looks cool and unique. i hope i can get the knack of it and continue. thanx

  • very nice!!!! you sure have come a looooong ways. this was very good.

only thing i would suggest is instead of putting the bass drum on 1 and 3+, just play on 1 and 3 in the chorus..i mean, thats just me being picky but again, very nice..you have to be picky about ccriticing this one :)

  • that's true, i coulda played it like that now that you mention it. lol. guess i was just feelin that way at that time. thanx for the comment

  • well done sir

  • thanx. God bless u

  • Awesome job, Stan da Man!

    God bless!

  • ha, thank u very much. i appreciate that!
