  • cool fish. how did you do that

  • @ comeonfish1 Went today, water is not clear and didn see any fish at all. Maybe just out of luck

  • What do you think is visibility in October? I am not afraid of cold water

  • where abouts in the potomac are you? like what are you near? ive been fishing the canal but i think i might try some kayak fishing in the potomac

  • @donottrytoreadthis

Off Algonkian Park. I fish/snorkel between the north and south tips of the island off the boat ramp.

  • Very cool vid!

  • good vid!!!

  • Please let me knwo on the size of it .

  • Excellent once again. You have very clear freshwater. My absolute best freshwater vis is around 5 feet. Then theres Lake Minewaska in NY that is something on the order of 25 feet [phenomenal]. Alas, its a toxic lake that supports virtually no fish.

Locally is a pond that i have kayaked that looked crystaline in 5 feet of water. THATS where I want to snorkle. Last time I snorkled was three years ago [cruise] sadly. Great footage.

Gotta dust off my Atomic fins . Nice mask and snorkle.

  • @Petewp

The vis is poor in most of water. The upper potomac river is about 4-10 feet depending on algae/weed area or sand/rock botom where the current is strong. Rainy day is worse. After this summer, I found that the freshwater also holds beautiful underwater scenes. I was so spoiled by Caribbean water. But now I appreciate the freshwater snorkeling. Comparing to Caribbean\FL trip, It cost nothing but 2-3 hours after work.

  • VERY cool.
