@MrZzr12 The treaty is the agreement by which Maori and European people can share this land, are you suggesting that all people that are not of Maori descent should leave?
it's all the fault of capt cook, he cooked a real bad stew. the effect is still evident. The indigenous people are squeezing every penny as a result of that stew. i think it's time to make changes in the recipe and add your own ingredients. enjoy
2:41 is an example of New Zealand being a Christain nation with the blessings of the chiefs from the North choosing that as our FIRST national flag to represent Aotearoa New Zealand upon our ships leaving our ports.. To that flag i bear allegaince to God first, country second.. It's only a matter of when NOt if our first NZL flag will become that in which it shall take the place of our current flag as to represent our nation unto all ends of the world! To that flag I salute..
THE REAL birth of Aotearoa New Zealand happend on 28/10/1835 it was the first and yet to be tested system of governance to happend upon the soil of Aotearoa.. Aotearoa was and ought to return to, remain and retain our truest identity.. A REPUBLIC!!
im brittish and have just moved to nz. Ive read the treaty (both maori and english) and it seems a fair treaty.Too bad some of the brittish didnt keep their part of the bargain at one point. Its a shame really but everyone in nz should just put it behind them because arent they happy about their beautiful country, no matter who owns it.?
In fact, nobody owns anything in this universe, however, when the British made a deal with the Maori people they should have respected that deal right away.
A lot of people got away then with enormous amounts of land for nearly nothing, where for some families now there is wealth based on old money, stolen from the Maori's. And to look good internationally all NZ people have to pay for that now?
As long as you don't solve that, you're not solving anything.
I'm half Maori half Welsh so either way it's my country, however the treaty was signed by all of the people in the country during it's foundation and was not honoured - and constantly stamped on for over 140 years.
I see you havnt a constructive arguement for that.Take a look at celticnz on google.Get over it.We are one nation and now the maori are so watered down we are one race.Stop being a racist and seperatist. You cannot have 2 races fighting,South Africa is an example.Try to stop being a victim all the time and live for today and not yesterday.
T. T. T. TORCH THE TREATY problem solved.

Do all British people spell British wrong? You raise a good point though - why aren't Treaty settlements paid by the British?
