I have naturally big hips and a thicker body, so even if I am at the lowest weight that is healthy for my body, I will still probably be over a size 4. Is that okay, as long as I'm still in really, really good shape?
Hi, I wanted 2 ask your opinion on something.I was signed 2 a Dallas agency when i was 11, but as I got older my hips got a little bigger & my mom pulled me out because she didn't want me trying 2 lose weight & becoming anorexic. Anyways I'm an adult now & I've lost weight by not eating junk & working out. Would u advise going 2 open calls in LA or NY for me or am I too old? People generally think I'm 16-19 but I actually recently graduated college. I'm 5'9" 32-24-34 and I have 2 tattoos. thanks
How old is too old to begin fashion modeling? My measurements are 32-24-34 and i am 5'8.5(rounded to 5'9) but my mom says that i have to wait 2 years to graduate high school and then i could move to nyc. so do you think i would have a chance modeling when i am 17 or should i just forget about it. also, am i too short?
@sevensin21 Hey there! You should definitely me ok if you wait until after you graduate. You should start submitting your pictures to big agencies in NY about a year before you graduate so you can receive feedback and possibly sign with an agency before you move there. :) You may grow a little more too ;)
Hi! I'm 5'8" and13. I'm pretty sure that I'm still growing, but have definitely slowed down. My measurements are 34", 26-27", 35". I want to go into LOOK modeling agency in SF, but do you think I will have a disadvantage because of my measurements, or are they more flexible with kids? Thanks so much for your help and love your videos!! :)
@ModelInTheMaking98 Hey there! Wow! you're tall, lucky you! You should go to open call and see what feedback they give you. Thanks for watching! Let me know how it goes. Btw that's a good agency.
@niseegirlee (ignore username this is my brothers account haha) I just turned 15 in January and I'm 5'11. I am a size six and I NEED to pursue modeling. I was wondering if I should loose weight before I go to an agency or open call because I don't want them to think I look too chubby and I am not curvy at all really so I wouldnt exactally be plus size( just from my p.o.v.) and also what would be an ideal outfit to wear to an audition or casting? Thankyou so much for your videos by the way:)
HI :) I love your hair! But anyways.... I've always wanted to become a model for Ford, my mom was a model for a bit. I am 16 and about 5'8.75 and am still growing for about another year and a half. Im hoping this is okay! Brown hair brown eyes.. who are they usually looking for? Any type of look? Im half Romanian also....... Thanks :)
I'm thinking about going to an open call in San Francisco, but I was wondering if being only 5'7" (which for a filipino is like being a giant) and having tattoos would hinder my chances anyway
Hello, I'm moving to NYC soon to model, I'm 5'10, size 4, 32 bust 26 waist and 36 hips... I'm exercising and working to lose a bit of fat. But I'm also I'm worried that my hips are too wide, about 13 in across. I've noticed that most models' hips are narrow. Are wide hips often a deal breaker?
@niseegirlee High Fashion is preferred but I wouldn't mind commercial at all. I just got an agent here in Oklahoma City so I'll be doing commercial since there's not much high fashion. At least till I move =)
@eekmonkey Of course it's more than just your height and size sweetheart but these are the basics. Some agencies won't even consider signing you if you're under 5'8". Every agency is different in terms of what "look" they are looking for because every agency has different girls on their board therefore every agency's needs are different. I'm doing a video on fashion vs commercial modeling so people can better understand the differences :) Both good but different. Thanks for watching!
its more than just height and size, you have to have a unique look. no one really remembers that part. just because your tall doesn't mean you should model. just because your pretty doesn't mean you should model either. fuller and more round faces and the whole cute look get more commercial work than anything. a lot of models get skinny to have a waif figure yes, but also to get a less rounder face so they get booked more high fashion.
@nerdybynature14 There are some agencies that represent petite models. I'm going to do some research for a few other petite subbies so I'll let you know what I find out ;)

@MorganeDubled If you live near agencies then go in, I think it's always best to go to an open call if you can but if not submitting on line works as well. Good Luck!
my name is jenny im 13 and im 5'3 and verybody tell me that i look like niami campell and i would LOVVVVVVE to model but i have alot questions and this are some of them, can you have fake hair and does the modeling agency put you porfolio together, do you pay your agent, do you have to pay the photographer?PLEASE ANSWER, and also do you know any modeling agencies in orlando florida Not miami! @justinbieberfan0325 Hey there! You can have extensions but your agent may ask you to take them out if it will book you more work. Your agent will usually find someone to test shot you for little to no cost to you. Most agents get 20% of every job you book. Not sure about agencies in Orlando but I can look :)
Hi nissegirlee. I really love your vids and I was wondering that I have stretch marks in my butt, you or any person will really see them if i wear a bikini. And my question is... Will that hold me back? Can I be a model or not? I would really like if you reply me if you can but if you can't well thats fine...thanks.
@niseegirlee ya but thats just my body type, even at my skinniest i have wide hips you can lose weigth through bone loll,,, oh well i guess ill just aim for print modeling and not runway :( sigh
@cookie123d1 I know what you mean, bone structure has a lot to do with how small you can get and being at a healthy weight is always #1. There's nothing wrong with print/commercial modeling, that's 90% of the work that I book. Print/commercial models typically have more longevity in this industry. Good Luck!
@cookie123d1 Don't give up if it's something you really want to do. You're not far off :) Still attend open calls even if you're not the exact measurements. There are always exceptions to the rules!
QUESTION! in a way, it seems like the agency that signs you will take an inch or two off if they are interested in you, is that true? I also have a question about hair. I am an african american female and whats popular in the fashion industry with black women's hair seems to be a weave. Should you send in pictures naturally or with a weave? Do they end up giving you a weave after you get signed?
@charaecamille Not sure if that's true, every agency is different but your measurements have to be right for booking jobs. If they're interested and your measurements are a little off they will tell you what needs improvement. Natural is good! Agencies usually like to see what your natural hair is like :)
hi! :) so i was just wondering, do models lie about their sizes when they send in pictures online? I do a lot of research online about the requirements, and several top models arent exactly 34-24-34. They also dont look like it in their pictures, but it will say that they are in their portfolio. and if you do send pictures online is there a chance at all that they will get seen? (Im a student in a very small town, online is my only option) I am 5 ft 10, 18 yrs old how can i get myself out there?
@charaecamille Hey there! I'm sure there are some agencies that fudge the numbers by small amounts but nothing too drastic like 3 inches :) Yes agencies look at the pictures submitted online but they usually only reply if they're interested.
I'm really unsure about it now... my guess is just take them out before I go, but what about tattoos? And I honestly hate my teeth, they aren't too horribly bad but it really makes me insecure seeing all these beautiful women with gorgeous teeth. But the thing is that if I get braces now then it will be a few years before I can even try to go to an open call or anything right? I don't know what to do about it and I have even been considering getting veneers...
@slinkymomma LOL! I know you meant to call me poopbutt ;) There are a lot of models that have tattoos, do you have a lot? What about Invisalign for your teeth?
Omg im so sorry! I thought I was texting someone and now my phone won't let me delete the comment! I'm totally embarrassed now... however, I was wondering, I'm roughly 5'11 and I'm 19, and I know my other measurments are good, minus the extra inch or two on the waist and hips (I've been hiding from the gym for a little while) but I'm worried about a few other things. What about piercings? I have an industrial on my left ear and my right eyebrow is pierced. I have an open call with an agency and
I may be asking questions you've answered in vids I haven't seen yet. If so...sorry! So, going into a casting call for the first time can you be a total novice about the industry or do you need to have extensive knowledge about current models, photographers, etc? thx!!
Hey, niseegirlee! I've been wanting to go open calls for a while now, but the only thing that stopped me is my height... Can I walk into an open call at 5'7"? I'm only 16. Should I go just to get feedback from agencies?

Hi niseegirlee. I'm an aspiring fitness model, and I am so happy that you mentioned the opportunities available for fitness models (who aren't the typical model measurements). I have an athletic shape (I stay in the gym and I am a fitness instructor), and I am only 5'6". I am going to an open call at the Ford agency in Chicago this week. Should I inform them that I am interested in being a fitness model, or should I leave all my options open? Thanks for your help! :-)
@PushUFit Hey there! Yes, it's a good idea to let them know that you're really interested in fitness modeling but you're also interested in commercail/print modeling :). Good Luck, let me know how it goes!
@PR3TTiiGURLRA Hey there! I'm doing well, busy but well :) the NY office doesn't do open calls anymore you have to sumbit your pics through the website and if they're interested they will invite you to a "private" open call. They don't fell there is a need for open calls every week because they have tapped into the NY market as much as they can. I would just submit online :)
@PR3TTiiGURLRA You do not have to have long hair, when you book a job they will style your hair the way they want it which could include coloring it, weaving it or even cutting it :)
@PR3TTiiGURLRA 5'10" and 13 that's amazing :) Yes, most of their offices have a teen or tween division. No your shkin doesn't have to be perect but you should take good care of your skin to keep it as clear, healthy and smooth as possible ;)
@lettynash04 Oh no sweetheart, you're not fat at all...don't say that :) There are soooo many different body types, not everyone is naturally thin, so embrace what you have and go for it ;). Don't give up if it's your dream! SMILE :)
@angelicabarbie21 That's a tough one sweetheart, most designers do not design for those proportions but those proportions are frequently used by swimsuit companies and you could do beauty/print work that focuses on your facial features. Kelly Brook is gorgeous and a very successful model, her measurements are 34E-25-35 :) and she looks amazing! Good Luck!
You and your videos and these possible vlogging out and about videos coming up from you are the only things I am super excited about in my life right now. Yay!
I have naturally big hips and a thicker body, so even if I am at the lowest weight that is healthy for my body, I will still probably be over a size 4. Is that okay, as long as I'm still in really, really good shape?

I have an athletic shape (I stay in the gym and I am a fitness instructor), and I am only 5'6". I am going to an open call at the Ford agency in Chicago this week. Should I inform them that I am interested in being a fitness model, or should I leave all my options open? Thanks for your help! :-)

@PushUFit Hey there! Yes, it's a good idea to let them know that you're really interested in fitness modeling but you're also interested in commercail/print modeling :). Good Luck, let me know how it goes!

& How Long Does It Take or Should It Take For Ford Model To Reply Back To You If They Are Intrested ? :)

Hey, Wassup, I'm Back Again :)
How Are You ?
I Have More Questions ?
On The Ford Models Website It Doesn't Give A Open Call For NYC.
Do You Think You Might Know The Open Call For In NYC or Can Find Out For Me ?
Thanks Once Again :DDD

@PR3TTiiGURLRA Hey there! I'm doing well, busy but well :) the NY office doesn't do open calls anymore you have to sumbit your pics through the website and if they're interested they will invite you to a "private" open call. They don't fell there is a need for open calls every week because they have tapped into the NY market as much as they can. I would just submit online :)

& Do you really need long hair because I use weave most of the time so do you think I could still become a model ?
PR3TTiiGURLRA 1 year ago
@PR3TTiiGURLRA You do not have to have long hair, when you book a job they will style your hair the way they want it which could include coloring it, weaving it or even cutting it :)

Im 13 Years Old & 5'10.
And I Would Love To Become A Ford Model.
Do They Have Modeling For Teens There ?
& Does Your Skin Have To Be OO SO Perfect ?
PR3TTiiGURLRA 1 year ago
@PR3TTiiGURLRA 5'10" and 13 that's amazing :) Yes, most of their offices have a teen or tween division. No your shkin doesn't have to be perect but you should take good care of your skin to keep it as clear, healthy and smooth as possible ;)

@lettynash04 Oh no sweetheart, you're not fat at all...don't say that :) There are soooo many different body types, not everyone is naturally thin, so embrace what you have and go for it ;). Don't give up if it's your dream! SMILE :)

if ur cup size is double d but ur waist is small is it still ok?
angelicabarbie21 1 year ago
@angelicabarbie21 That's a tough one sweetheart, most designers do not design for those proportions but those proportions are frequently used by swimsuit companies and you could do beauty/print work that focuses on your facial features. Kelly Brook is gorgeous and a very successful model, her measurements are 34E-25-35 :) and she looks amazing! Good Luck!
