  • Back in the day, people would drop fake hands when going through the corkscrew to scare the people below :)

  • this one got me started and now im hooked. we had a 3 day pass and rode every single ride there and that was one of the best.

  • ive been on this ride over a 100 times but not for enjoyment i worked on this ride for a whole summer in 2002

  • It looks a lot like the one at Valleyfair only a bit longer. Perhaps that's because they are both owned by the same company. Either way, this one is cooler.

  • lol fun ride.

  • ikr dude haha i called u an infected hair on an elephants butt ha

  • I am going on it this weekend and it will be my first upside-down roller coaster!!!!!!

  • 35 years old and still one of my favorites

  • Comment removed

  • 3 loops come on.

  • Really like we didnt know.

  • @taylor502ful give me a brake, i wrote it 7 months ago, if your lifes boring go out and take a walk or something.

  • Eh this doesn't look scary

  • When I was younger I made the mistake of riding this ride as my first ever roller coaster due to it appearing small in size.

    Big mistake.

  • If u have ur head against the seat, headache. If u have ur head out of the seat, neck hurts after (mine does right now) and ur not allowed to have video cameras on rides!

  • I honestly didn't even realize that Corkscrew flipped you upside down until I saw the loop off the ride later. Didn't get a headache, but the ride was definitely too short.

  • wow im such a baby i havnt been on this one yet and im 11 years old but ive been on the mad mouse and my sister was screaming and i was laughing when im only 11 and shes 14

  • That's the slowest chain lift ever! LOL I remember alot of parks back in the 80's had to have a Corkscrew coaster, as they were the hit coaster back then. The Pavilion down at Myrtle Beach, SC had one, Opryland in TN had one called the Wabash Cannonball i think, and Busch Gardens in VA still has their Arrow Corkscrew which, i'm talking about is the Loch Ness Monster.

  • I like this ride but every time you go upside down your head hits the seat and once you get off you have a headache.

  • Rides I wanna go on if I go to Cedar Point this summer: *Top Thrill Dragster *Millennium Force *Maverick *Wicked Twister *Magnum XL-200 *Mean Streak *Raptor *Mantis *Gemini *Corkscrew *Disaster Transport *Blue Streak aa, who am I kidding? those are like all of the rides, lol. The Six Flags I go to is not too bad, but I bet Cedar Point is better.
  • A little dated now, but still a lot of fun!

  • I thought it would be cool bringing my brand new filp camera on one of these rollercosters to do a POV. The ride ended with me screaming at my self about droping my camera.

  • that ride hurts like butt your thrown everywhere

  • the white one dosn't jerk you as much, just sayin

  • yu no now that i think abt it this ide seems pretty boring i mean i'll sitll ride it but all it has is 2 drops a loop and 2 interlocking corkscrews that's it and the drop is only 80ft. Mindbender at sfog is even more fun than this and it only has 2 loops but 4 drops and a mini drop at the end that hads more airtime than yu think. It sure did catch me by suprise wen i 1st rode it

  • @6flgslover is has 3 loops

  • @rockerchick34512 noooo it actually RLLY only has 2 loops the other SO CLAIMED LOOP is just a helix that practically twists yu up the hill 2 the nxt drop. trust me yu can read abt it. the 3rd loop is a fake XDD

  • @6flgslover Interestingly enough, the Six Flags I go to has a ride called "Demon" whose structure is very similar to this one. A 90-foot drop, 2 loops, 2 corkscrews. Except, this ride is shorter and "Demon" has 2 tunnels that light up. I thought "Demon" was a very fun ride, albeit it's not the BEST. And also, we have "American Eagle" that's like "Gemini". It's a racing coaster, except it's like a little taller. We have nothing like TTD, MF, or Maverick though.

  • its a great ride. like others said, go as far back seats as you can for a better drop. also, dont wear earrings just in case, i did, and it hurts your head and neck when your head gets jolted, especially if you're shorter. i went on it for the first time when i was like 11, and loved it, but it hurt a bit

  • my head bounces around and it hurts so bad!!!! i wore earring too and that hurt like crap

  • @mstiffy101 oh yeah i h8 the front it's so boring and yu dnt get that whip feeling which means more airtime and in the front yu c evrything 1st which takes all the fun outta it

  • how come in final destonation 3 the track is red and here its blue?

  • @connollystyle

Because this isn't the ride in Final Destination 3...

  • oh thanks it look the same

  • cus this is a completely different roller coaster. The one your thinking of is in another amusment park

  • fd3

  • The front seat gets like no first drop it's already at the bottom by the time the ride gets going

  • i know i like the back row better

  • one time, my dad went on this, and on the 2nd corkscrew, his camera fell out of his pocket. so, he got a grey camera and then some teens stealed it but my dad had to fight them. right now, he has the grey camera and a new camera thats black and its in hd now were going to cedar point next year, so dad has to keep a eye on his grey camera and black camera lol

  • went on this yesterday i was freaked for the clicking but the rest was cool

  • how long is the line

  • The no padding on that corkscrew does sound kind of painful. Back when the ( now gone ) Myrtle Beach Pavilion amusement park had their Corkscrew coaster, it did have padding for your head, but hard plastic seats where you sat. That part i did not like! Atleast the head areas had padding. I can't believe Cedar Point's doesn't have padding even for the head, ouch!

  • ya but it is old and it is fun

  • way too short of a ride.

  • @TheCoasterGuy Haha, judging by the video, if you don't count the lift-hill wait or the drop, this ride is like 30 seconds long.

  • @TheCoasterGuy No the one at Geauga Lake was the shortest ever lol

  • @TheCoasterGuy

I always thought it went around twice.

  • @TheCoasterGuy it was 1976.

  • @TheCoasterGuy This was made in 1976 dude, and was the first coaster to do 3 inversions. Give it a break.

  • @TheCoasterGuy the double corck screw is the master peice of the ride :)

  • I haven't actually been on this (okay I've never been to Cedar Point, but you can't help it when you live in britain) but I've been on two coasters that are very similar, and they both hurt like hell afterwards.

  • Ive been on this ride about 20 times and its fun but i always have a headache after i get off

  • @DILLONSHWING Dang! Maybe I can ride with you cuz my sisters complain too much about how "cheesy" it is. I mean, DANG CANT I HAVE SOME FUN FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE?! And besides, im the youngest.

  • haha i remember the last time i went on this, my cell phone fell out of my pocket after the first corskcrew and as it was falling when we were going through the second one, i dont know how but i managed to just barely snag the phone on its very top and kept it from falling on the pavement below....i lmao afterwards tho lol

i love this ride tho...one of my fav's!

  • @buttaman8302 What I do is on the rides I wear a sweatshirt with pockets that zip, and I usually put my cell phone and other stuff in there. I do not trust anything else. I've never used a locker though. Still, I think it's a waste of money.

  • my mom rode this when she was young and she almost fell out.her friend i forget her name saved her by pulling her back on the ride by her pants

  • i love this ride its sooo much fun btw nice mustache

  • My friend almost made me ride this but the line was to long. I'm riding it when we go back.

  • I rode this one once... I'll never ride it again, actually. Like everyone else is saying---ouch. Still, nothing hurt more than being on the tail end of the Mantis... splitting headache

  • It hurts so bad.

There's nothing to stop you from moving around and there's absolutely no padding.

It hit my head a bunch of times so I ended up getting a bad headache.

It's kind of fun, but painful.

  • This ride hurts like a bitch

  • I hate this ride. Your brain becomes a pinball

  • This ride was too slow for me, but I still enjoyed it

  • I am pretty much a ride devil. This ride is alright/ but it hurt so bad I had a major headache after I went on it/

  • this coaster is really lame. it was a walk on the other day so i rode it you dont get any sense of speed or anything. still kinda fun, i like how it corkscrews right over the path its fun to stand under.

  • is this ride scary?

  • Hell no, its just awesome.

  • nooooooo!!

  • no, but it hurts like hell.

    like hell

  • @coolniki93 I've never been on "Corkscrew", but I've been on a ride at Six Flags called "Demon" and it's structured almost exactly like this. The 80-90 foot drop, the loops, corkscrews. And in all honesty, "Demon" wasn't scary, and I'm like terrified of every ride out there, lol. Even the drop wasn't bad. It didn't give me that butterfly feeling. It just felt like nothing. The corkscrews hurt my neck though, lol. It's still a fun ride. I can imagine "Corkscrew" is the same.

  • I got hit with a rock on this ride.

  • ouch! how?

  • Some kid threw a rock from the path down below...

  • twat.

  • P.S. I have ridden this ride many times and it is great for those stubborn blood vessels in your brain... you know the ones that make you HEMMORAGE! this right is one of my least favorite. your head bounces around like a pinball. it hurts quite badly.

  • what is that supposed to be a joke?

please tell me you're talking about carowinds' "carolina cyclone" being better than corkscrew, not carowinds being better than cedar point, because then if you beleive that.....well,i really wouldnt know what to do

  • is there only 1 cedar point if so were is it?

    please tell me

  • sandusky ohio

  • 30 minutes from my house. right next to the lake

  • Follow US 250. Never been there myself (and I live in NE Ohio) but I've seen it while taking a boat ride toPut-in-Bay.

  • this is 1 coaster....out of 16 others.

CP has the best coasters in the WORLD (Top thrill dragster, millennium force, raptor, magnum, maverick) wicked twister is the best of its kind. its got a mean ass range of coasters and right now the only thing i think that CP actually needs is an intamin pre-fab woodie (like el toro, balder, etc) but better than them!!! and then get a B&M hyper and intamin mega lite and oh so many possibilitites!!

  • not really....with the exception of X2, Cedar Point is waaaaaay better. im from Detroit and its "thrice" as better than SFMM

  • when you are at the far back - u fly the track for a second - you go the fastest cause you dont have to wait for the others cars in the coaster to follow

  • first upside-down roller coaster! i still love corkscrew!

  • that hill was tooo short! when i got on it i was like where's the hill?

  • I love the ride, but when you go upside down, it bangs your head...I still love it though

  • That ride was fun but

    it was wayy too short...

  • drop

  • that was my first looping coaster and the second drpp hurt your stomach

  • That was my first (and only) roller coaster with a loop. I rode it with my dad. I got the wind knocked out of me on the loop and I hurt my neck. Bleh.

  • This was my first ride ever, I thought it was pretty awesome. My fav right now is the Magnum, but I haven't been on Dragster, Millenium or Maverick so yeah.

  • same with me I only rode mean streak, gemini, and corkscrew

  • that ride was fun

  • This ride is really fun....had a sore neck the next day...but it is fun anybody who like thrills should get on this, plus you only have to wait for about 5-10 minutes to ride

  • I love that ride!

  • i rode this three times today for the lone reason the wait was about 5 mins no joke!!!

  • Im srry if I piss anyone off, but that isn't what a good coaster looks like. Dragon Fire at Canada's Wonderland has a bigger drops than that and has 2 loops

  • This was my first real roller coaster.

  • i have never road a roller coaster. but i will wednesday. I havnt been there since i was 4 and im 12 now.

  • i remember when this ride opened. It took over an hour to ride, now 10 minutes

  • it's pretty cool, it was only my second coaster with a loop, i loved the corkscrews...a little painful but fun

  • i love the corkscrew it is FUN

  • my first sence i was 8 and loved it

  • Nice jobholding the camera!!!JK

  • Was my first rollercoaster with a loop. ;)

  • too short and lol y r ppl sceaming?

  • it hurt but it was the frist filp i went on lol

  • this ride is pretty cool i guess, its painful and small but the corkscrews are fun

  • shut up people, yes this ride sucks now. but it was made so long ago. it was one of the first of its kind. it was sweet back in the day.

  • It is still sweet, just not as sweet as the bigger rides.

  • well yea people ya know why it sucks? because it was the first coaster to ever go upsidedown! and imagine how old it is!

  • this ride stinks soooooooooooooooooooo much

the park is amazing and so is ohio but the ride stinks

  • I can't believe you just dissed Corkscrew like that. This ride is amazing. I mean, I've ridden the Dragster and Millennium and I'm not saying this ride stands up to them, but this is still and amazing ride.

  • I don't really like the Corkscrew that much. All it did was flip upside down a few times and bang my head against the harness.

  • I am from NJ so i live close to six flags. thats where kingda ka is. Kingda ka is reli fun :)

  • this ride was pretty fun. i was a coaster lover before i went on this. my first looping coaster was in six flags Great adventure. it was the great american scream machine.

  • ohhhh cool^^

    in germany is the better

    search:phantasialand

    this is in germany

    i m from germany yes^^

  • We did Germany in September 2007. Phatasialand, Europa Park, Holiday Park and Heide Park. Was a great week with some rather funky coasters. Unfortunately the videos didn't turn out very well but I really should get round to uploading them...

  • @phantafreak08 but in japan the attractions are the best, surely

  • This is the best roller coaster for someone who hasn't been on a coaster with inversions. It helped me get over my fear and now I love roller coasters. ^^

  • This is the first rollercoaster that I went upsidedown on...it made me like going upsidedown! I <3 this ride!!

  • that ride was fun

  • i rode this and i rode it 25 times

  • search on the bar the username:Beethoven111 and watch the full ttd rollback almost stop at the top youll see me there at the back most part on the left side I got excited when it balanced at the top and rollbacked!

  • when i go to cedar point this is the first ride i RIDE! and i ride it like 10 times, but it takes forever in these stuiped LONG LINES!

  • omg!!! thats my favrite rollercaoster

  • how high si the first drop?

  • the first hill is 80ft. high the lenght of the drop is somewhere around 63ft but this ride isnt about drops its about inversions

  • try ridin the freakin mantis no hander hurts sooooo bad and same goes to the raptor cuz of the flips and turns... this 1 doesnt hurt bad yall wuss thts y

  • how long is the wait?

  • never lonmger than 5min

  • the wait isnt real long in the evening hours during the day its not much bigger this ride is one of those rides people just dont find real exiceting

  • you can usually get right on.

  • i sit in the very back seat and hold my head out and it never hurts at all

  • to be honest. SKIP IT! i was 12 and it hurt SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much! i spent an hour sitting down trying to calm down!

  • Where do you sit to make it hurt the least? The front?

  • That ride is so bumpy it was the most painful ride at cedar point. I couldn't believe how much the corkscrews hurt

  • this ride was so fun

  • i hate that ride i wrote it in the back and it hurt so much

  • Bumpiest ride at cedar point.

  • No, Mean Streak, Blue Streak, and Magnum's worse,

You have to press the back of your head against the seat very well.

  • ill give you blue streak and mean streak...but the magnum is super smooth

  • shit ride tbh. no offence though

  • That coaster is nothing.

  • That ride was evil to me i skinned my elbow and my knee not sure how however it was an awesome ride..like any other at cedarpoint

  • hold the camera still

  • I have a stable POV video on mine. Was it rough though???

  • what the vid or the ride?

  • it's from the park website. they bolted a camera on the ride back in the 80's or 90's.

  • oh ok

  • OMG i rode this ride last year and i almost came out with a concussion cuz it jerks yur head sooooo bad...lol

  • still awesome though right??

  • that rollercoaster is at valleyfair in mn too! but WE HAVE THE WILD THING! omfg the wild thing is awesome! srry thats off subject

  • Oh man does this ride HURT! But its pretty cool how it loops right over you. Thanks for pov of this ride!

  • Oh my GOSH it hurts! LOL!! I went there for the first time and that was the first ride I went on and I pretty much broke my back!! The stupid thing...haven't been on it since! :P

  • I remember the Corkscrew at Geauga Lake... looks like it's the same coaster. That thing was evil. Not a bad video, hard to shoot on that one.

  • i wouldn't have risked losing my camera. the video isn't all that good.

  • hear all those screams? those people were in pain. that ride is evil. but ive been on it like 7 times. =]
