good luck in LA ....DG is my brother and introduced me to your music...you're amazing

  • Blind lemon jefferson!!!!!!!!! he came back

  • I've played 12 string for many years off and on and cannot touch this young man in technique, style etc. Go Conrad. I am so happy to have discovered your music and videos. (Still wish you 'd allow embed though!

  • I bet his hands have that fretboard mapped out perfect. I feel bad for people without vision, it's an amazing gift, that everyone should be able to enjoy. However, I can't play my guitar like this, so I can say I'm jealous of Conrad.

  • "I love my baby where the sun don't shine"....classic line!!!

  • Beautiful!!! Go'head Conrad wit yo bad self! :)

  • talk about giving jeff healey a run for his money for being the best blind guitarist

  • Dude you are great but you need color in this video not black and white.

  • you can almost hear Stevie tappin his foot an joinin in with ya from on high .. great job never give it up

  • WOW!!!

Been playing guitar for only 2 years???

Even without any impairment, this is simply amazing. What strikes me most is the SOUL that comes through in the sound. There are many technicians on youtube copying SRV's sound, but many don't have the SOUL. You've got the SOUL and that is what made Stevie special.

    Keep it up.

  • omg you are the coolest kid on earth your better than anyone ive ever seen

  • Very talented. Great video.

  • What guitar is that? ♫ ♪ ♫

  • yees 12 strings very good for blues

  • Does it really make it any better that he's blind? In my opinion: no. Anyone with as much musical talent as he has can play without ever looking at his fingers.

  • yes, because when ur first learning to play its extremely hard not to look at ur fingers. this kids pretty great!

  • yea gd point and if its true what they say that if you lose one sense your others improve playing guitar should be easy ear wise i sitll love jeff healey one of the greats :D and he was blind as well

  • dude hes amazing vision impared and 12 and he could kick my ass at guitar and im 14 and can see

  • dude you are epic

I would kill to have you in my band!

  • whats the tune of that guitar?

  • The guitar's tuned to Eb.

Awesome conrad! i hope someday i will play like you

  • Hes 12,, give him some credit,,, cant expect his hand to be as stronge as a 30 yos lol

  • Absolutely Phenomenal, felt like I was hearin it for the first time!

  • he is going to be great, look at those fingers! i have the stubby curse.

  • Now Theres Soul

  • Stevie Ray Vaughan died on my birthday.

  • thats prettey good, keep up

  • Not bad at all man, the fingering is perfect but his strumming hand could stand to be a little bit more "powerful", Stevie had this just amazing strumming arm and his chords had the sound of being almost percussive because of it. And this guy rules because he's into Brian May AND Stevie Ray Vaughn...rare combo :P

  • young bluesman - awsome !!! keep in goin -

  • i meant that by hes AWSOME

  • hey its hendrix oh wait no its not!!!!!

  • ur very good, u should start writing songs, u would b gud

  • thank God theres some young cats out there that are still cool, and not talkin shit over some drum loops.keep it goin kid.

  • Couldnt have put it any better than that. (awesome name too btw)

nice one conrad, i too am stoked to see a "young un" with so much taste and skills to match. keep it up and keep posting em.

  • i tink we have found de reincarnated souls of hendrix, srv and so much more

  • congrats kid

  • WOW you are an Inspiraton to us all... thank you for all

  • DAMN!-I mean DAMN!

  • That's an amazing little dude. When I started playing the guitar he must have been like 2 years old and compared to him I'm nothing... very very fascinating! 5 stars and a new fav.

    Greetings Fnnykiller

  • very talented

  • You're awesome Conrad ^^ continue to play like this, been a fan of you for a year now, every single thing you post here is excellent. Only thing I think is dissapointing is that you're not influenced by Canned Heat ;)

  • Thanks for the comment. Conrad really likes Canned Heat.

  • You're awsome Conrad ^^ Been listening to you since you began, the only thing I find dissapointing is that you're not influenced by Canned Heat :(

  • Can you see his gigant fingers? They're cool!

  • i love this song keep playing u are great

  • hes playin' a song with solo on a 12-string let alone an acoustic if this kid is never in guitar world or somethin' it will be a travisty

  • Took exactly 10 seconds of this video to become a fan. That's it. Been watching all night. Was dying to see someone come up who can play straight, stripped down, no BS blues with TALENT instead of BS attitude and here he is - 12 years old. Prayer answered.

Kid - don't bother with a band, don't bother with electric, don't even bother with rock...yer wasting your time.

So, when you coming to San Francisco? Show all the yuppies and talentless idiots here what a Real Deal is...

  • This kids middle finger is longer than an Arkansas Plow Mules Dick,.....it aint fair, I tell ya. So I am trying t sign him in a contract. Finish School, get into college, and PLAY on the weekends. Y'all wait a few years, this kids gonna be making millions, and I can move out of this trailer park, maybe buy me a 1964 Plymouth Valiant. I can dream, still, right?

  • wow

  • omg you are owning even more now with a sweet song on a 12 string

  • His vocal style reminded me of the great John Lee Hooker. It would be cool if you uploaded some "front porch blues!"

  • is that your gretsch in the background??? and what kind is it???

  • wow hes visualy impaired and hes playing pride and joy on a 12 string now thats the shit

  • Great!

  • I'm jealous! wow i wish i could play that it kinda makes me doubt myself as a guitarist, but i'll keep tryin. Conrad is amazing!!!

  • SAAAAAWEEEEETT!!!

  • is it me or does he have insanely long fingers?

  • yes he have... maybe he was born for guitar

  • INSANE

  • Nice 12 string. Why do you only use 2 fingers?

  • Self-taught I guess...Who needs finger technique when you've got natural talent like this lucky bugger!

  • i'm a SRV fan, and there are a number of guitarists on here, visually impaired or otherwise that play fantastic versions of his songs and others, and your son is one of them! Keep it goin!!!

  • yay! thanks, and btw i think if conrad is seen by the right people, he could be the next big thing. Keep on playing!

  • you should do the 12-string version of hear my train a coming.

    excellent performance by the way!

  • Conrad played that on an album two years ago, I'll try to get him to post it!

  • Im fricken speechless!!!!! Cant wait to share this with all my music lovin friends!!

    Thanks :)

  • I promise he's 12... He'll be 13 this Summer!

  • Curious....When did u 1st realize Conrad had this magical gift? 10 yrs old is the youngest posted here I believe. This is truly amazing. Keep up the GREAT work. Let me know when your album is released please!!

  • He looks a little older than twelve, but AWESOME

  • Cant go Wrong with a little Stevie keep rockin kid

  • cool

  • i liked it, iam a huge music fan, of all types of music, that was good kid, keep playing, you will only get better, and Better, Peace

  • OMG this kid is incredible!!!!! ROCK ON!!!

  • they are some nice guitars, i good 12 string or resonator is next on my list. keep it up big man!!!

  • dont ever stop, and be your self

  • daaammmmmnnnnn. lol, keep rockin dude. on a 12 string too, sounds good. you got the fingers for it. its nice to see a kid getting into what us old folks were into back then, very good.

  • very bluesy, keep it up lad

  • WOW!!!!!

  • That is some awesome playing. I really liked it. =)

  • DUDE YOU ROCK!!! You have the blues in your heart. Keep on doing what you're doing, and i want to hear some original material from you.

  • You're a star mate! Don't ever let anyone put you down!

  • Great playing man...stick with it. You've really got the feel and sound down. And to timmyhendrix, he's 12. Give him a break, dude.

  • nice playing homie. the man would be proud

  • Sounds like the unplugged pride & joy. YOu got that bluesy talent man. That voice is unique too.....perfect for the blues. Keep on man...

  • Work up your voice some more and you'll be a star!

  • amazing

  • man i wish i could play like you! how long did it take for you to learn that song??

  • I'm speechless.

  • on mtv unplugged srv plays this on a 12 banger.

  • im more concerned about that hollowbody in the back, is that a gretsch? why would he play the acoustic with that thing sittin there...

  • Man, I love Gretsch so much, I want one so bad ...

  • nice twelve string!!!

  • I personally don't think it's a question of whither he is blind or not, whither he is self taught or not. He is 12, incredibly talented and loves music. I look forward to seeing the finished article because as good a he is, when his voice matures and he develops his own style there will be a new name on the list of innovative guitar players.

  • i agree 110%

  • y ru playing that on a twelve string?

  • It's an old Gibson 12-String. Model B-25

  • Nice cover dude...Stevie must be proud!

  • awesome !! if he ever records his songs im gonna go out and buy the cd!! hes amazing

  • this just kicks ASS!

  • freaking awesome.

  • Jesus, you got it in your soul, kid. And such talent despite your visiual handicap is truly amazing! You've demanded respect in my book!

  • TRULY AWESOME, VERY TALENTED PLAYER!

  • What a great player! Go Conrad! (When he's ready to learn harp, (if he hasn't already) let me know!

  • Why is he looking down at the guitar neck if he is blind? I'm not questioning whether he is blind or not, I'm just curious! Great cover by the way!

  • Because Conrad plays by ear, when he is playing he will sometimes turn his head to the left to get his ear closer to the sound hole so he can hear the guitar better. He the listens to the bass with his left ear and gives the band direction over his left shoulder.

  • Thanks! By no mean did I mean any disrespect! Just curious! I love that guitar! What kind is it?

  • Conrad's guitar is a 1960s Gibson 12 string (small body)

with a DeArmond pickup. No disrespect taken.

  • ok he is good but dont give us that 2 years ago bull caca.mejor una de vaqueros weeeyes

  • Sorry, but it's true, he's only been playing since he got his first guitar when he turned 10.

  • im visually impaired too ... i have a hard time distinguishing greens, blues, and browns .. ask my guitar if it gives an eff ... wow .. he caught up to SRV in two yrs .. this kid is clearly the next .. yaya heard it all b4 ..

  • holy shit man. i've been playing 3 years and i can't play this song. i'm gonna go cry now...

  • fantastic stuff, awesome guitarist dude.

  • Two years, ago that´s amazing. Love and smiles from Iceland : )

  • I´m totally stunned with your abilities. How were you when you first picked up a guitar?

  • Conrad is self-taught, and started playing guitar two years ago. He taught himself to play piano starting at 2 1/2 years of age. (10 yrs ago)

  • do the sky is crying!

  • great stuff your a cool guy sounds damn good!!!

  • i love that guitar., i wana hear him play the other in the background

  • hohoho nice job man Sucess and Money

  • doin' a Stevie song proud

  • wow... good job man and excellent picks for your influences too. im interested to hear what your own stuff sounds like...

  • i would like to jam with the guy

  • cool guitars and great artist to emulate--if you're ever in missouri let's jam

  • You are the man. How old are you now?

  • Conrad is twelve now and will be thirteen this summer.

  • where did u get that hat cus i need it i luv it so much. ur fashion sense rocks n i lurve all ur influences, u shuld check out led zeppelin i think ud like them. jimmy page is the best guitarist i think hes better than hendrix. luv u n ur hat loads, zoe xxx

  • Conrad's hat used to belong to his great-grandfather. He was growing his hair out when these videos were shot, and the hat was the only thing that we could fit all of his hair under! Conrad likes Jimmy Page AND Jimi Hendrix, but likes to perform SRV and Hendrix songs a little more for his electric guitar sets.

  • Jimi's the best.

  • Great work--keep it up!!

  • You make 30+ year olds like me hang our heads in shame. I've been playing since I was 12 and can't play a 12-string like you. Just... wow. I'll be watching (and listening) to see where you go from here...

  • Finally, a 12 year old with TASTE! You rock kid!

  • Conrad Oberg....remember the name! You're gonna go far young fella...you kick butt!!

  • the face of the future rockers, rock on

  • you truly are talented, and lucky, for the support maybe your parents give to you, helping you with your passion... i wish i have started to play at your age, but i didn't, and so i'm late!!! keep doin'it guy!

  • very very good for a youngster you have the biggest fingers ive ever seen keep iy up

  • Get that boy an electric!

  • WOW, what an inspiration. You will go FAR in music, lil' dude!! :3

  • rock on lill buddy your great

  • Nice work on that 12-string, buddy. You have the hands of a true master. Don't settle for anything less than THE BEST, Take care of yourself kid, we're watchin!!

  • you've got talent that a lot of people dream of having. we will see you on the People's Choice Awards one day.

  • 12 years old ,doing the double threat, singing and playing songs of greatest guitar players ever.Good possibility we may be witnessing the future generation SRV,Hendrix. He's sure on the same path.

  • Well done I,m impressed, keep up the good work and stay off the drugs.

Then you mighy=t be to grow up to be one of world greatest guitar players.
