My wife and I like this song a lot; however, the producer had accidentally used the Vietnam Communist Party flag - red flag with yellow star in the video (see 3:06). This is a very BIG mistake. The Boat People were from South Vietnam and represented by the YELLOW with 3 RED STRIPES flag. They risked their life to escape from the Communist Regime. Many thanks to Paul Gross for writing this song, and God bless the boat people.

wow ! These images and lyrics really brought tears to my eyes. I love your info. My dad was once sent to one of those re-education camps and he had a"wonderful" time in his life there with only music, singing and listening many meaningful love and antiwar songs just like this with his fellows ! Thanks for this vid and your great love for Vietnam ! I'm so glad to know it from a non-Vietnamese !

I've never seen such a moving depiction of the ordeal and extremes that the 'Boat People' faced in their attempts to escape from the war!!! I was saddened to read the statistics of their treatment in the Thai camps...something, I was not aware of...As always, you have given me something to think about! 5*
