@Peeb62 As much as you'd like to believe, OSU did NOT win in 2008 which is "the year prior to that too". But yes, OSU has been pretty good the last few years no doubt. If anything, I see TTU-OSU as more of a rivalry right now than TTU-A&M. Tech and State ALWAYS play a good game against each other.
@SxChampagne32 You are correct about the 2008 game. The Raiders won that game easily. The Cowboys have won both games since then. Too early for me to make predictions for this Fall, but unless the conference has changed scheduling, you'll have to come to Stillwater, which is never a fun trip.
@Peeb62 With all the conference changes, it has been changed to where OSU will be coming to Lubbock again this year, while we will have to go to Norman again. Meaning we have to play UT and OU both away this year, which I'm NOT looking forward to. Thanks to whoever made that shitty schedule.
@gypsykingg What fucking pipe are you smoking, Wall knocked Robinson out, made him fumble the ball and gave Tech a chance to tie it or win it with a two point conversion. Wall played the week after this, Robinson Didn't.
@madmanheya hmm too bad zac was not knocked out just got a concussion, jamar was the one who was knocked out, see him fall to the ground immediately after the hit and his arms shoot up in the air and his body gets stiff.. thats what happens when you're knocked out. zac just rolled on the ground fully conscious. But he didn't play against cu because he didn't have to, most of the starters didn't play either. You're an idiot
@gypsykingg You are the Idiot The word Knockout doesn't always mean it has to be a knockout. It can be a huge hit. And you don't know if wall was KO., Even if Zac Robinson had to play against CU he couldn't cause he had a Concussion. Wall made him fumble the ball and gave Tech a chance to tie or win the game. You can't say that Zac Knocked him out when he fumbles the ball. If Tech would have won that game, everybody would remember this as the time Jamal Wall knocked out Zac Robinson. Asshole
@madmanheya Haha the word knockout mean the act of being rendered unconscious. Not getting hit hard you dummy. And I do know he was knocked out cause he hits the ground and his arms stiffen straight out in front of him. You texans are fucking morons and suck at football. Learn a little before an argument.
@gypsykingg Thats why I said "DOESN'T ALWAYS mean it has to be a knockout" That sentence means that I KNOW that SOMETIMES the word KNOCKOUT means UNCONSCIOUS. BUT NOT ALWAYS. Jesus Christ you must be a honkie-ass sooner. And again you don't know if he was knocked out because you weren't there. So Fuck Off and play with your daddy's dick hairs. Leave the Big Boy Comments to the real men. Wait you might be a pussy and say you were at the game so YOU WERN'T RIGHT BY HIM WHEN IT HAPPENED. CUNT
@madmanheya knockout always means knockout, nothing else. But i was there cause I am a student at okie state. I lol at little kiddos like you that get so pissed off when you realize you're wrong
@gypsykingg Yeah I knew you would say you were there, thats why I said what I said in the earlier post. And im 24 so go fuck off and now since you have played with your daddies dick hairs, go suck his nuts. We will never know if he was knocked out, you say he was I say he wasn't. All that matters is, Wall kicked his ass and risked injury to help his team win, It didn't happen, but at least he tried. Even if he was ko Robinson sure as hell didn't do it. Wall himself did, he fucked zac so hard.
@madmanheya you're 24? haha if anything zac delievered the hit since wall was just standing there and zac was the only one moving. and i bet you would love to see him fuck zac so hard. haha
What a hit!!! and he stopped his feet. imagine if he kept his feet moving!! i watched this man play at my home town in plainview!! he broke pretty much all the running back records there! good athlete
@Gmartin1193 Yall did. I wish Sticks wasn't injured cause I think he could have turned that fumble into something. It was a good game though. Hope yall are ready to come to the Jones AT&T Hellhouse this year!
@Gmartin1193 Yall did. I wish Sticks wasn't injured cause I think he could have turned that fumble into something. It was a good game though. Hope yall are ready to come to the Jones AT&T Hellhouse this year!
I remember seeing him in tha mall in Lubbock.... I introduced him to my girl and now shes all histerical for even meeting tha guy hahahaha! Hes come a long way coming from Plainview. Skipping school and what not hahaha remember that Jamar?? He'll do fine in Dallas
wall just jacked him up! wall lowed his shoulder, but with both players lowering their heads and in the position they were in, the heads collided and it knocked both of them out.
GO POKES!!...i remember in 01' when teddy lehman tackled josh fields and dislocated his thumb when he dragged him down in Norman..yeah josh missed like 1 offensive series then was back on the field with it popped back in place and with a bandage around his thumb..zac will be back..he's a tough QB like josh was...and he'll be back 2 beat OU!
The Texas Tech players & coaches showed a LOT of class when this happened. Several of the Tech players came out across the field and knelt down in prayer as Zac layed on the ground. Their Defensive Coordinator came out as well.
The DB was out. Granted he separated the QB from the ball...violently, but he was out. Notice how his arms both go upward while laying on his back? I made sure he wasn't swatting at the ball, but the ball doesn't appear to be in his eyesight. Dude got knocked out, but caused the fumble. Ahhhh....football!
Would have been the play of the game and the year if Tech converted on the last drive. This play was huge for us, but we couldn't move the chains on those last ten yards. The first downs prior to those last 4 downs were amazing. Swindall had the hot hands all night, just dropped the last pass of the night. Britton should have caught that deep strike but Potts over threw it. It was the same exact play we ran in Lawrence against KU, but Harrell got it to Britton's hands. Was a great game to watch!
Player of the game is the TE who tripped up the fumble recoverer. He would've had a convoy of LB's and DE's all the way to the endzone if not for the shoe-string tackle. It's not helmet to helmet when the ball carrier lowers his head to try to run someone over.
The runner lowered his helmet, the defender went in with his shoulder. No penalty. If that would have been helmet to helmet we would have had stretchers on the field.
That is true in most cases but not always. Just because it's a helmet to helmet hit wouldn't exactly mean that there would be stretchers out on the field. If you look, both Zac Robinson and Jamar Wall go limp after the hit, most of the time this is caused by a loss of consciousness which can either result in more head injury (from you not stopped your head from slamming in the ground) or you not being injured as badly.
tough hit, brave, all of that, but it still looks like a helmet-to-helmet. Defenders are not supposed to lower their head. Should have been a penalty.
The qb lowered his shoulder as well and once out of the pocket the qb is not as "protected". Even as a Tech fan I say he should have gone for the slide. He had the yards for the 1st down.
Wait defender are not supposed to lower their head? Then how the hell is someone going to get a form tackle on another? Not lowering your head = not lowering your shoulders which in turn = a horrible tackle and a defensive get back getting his ass run into the ground...
@MrAlexPlus Umm... not exactly "getting his ass run into the ground". Because Robinson is the one that gets decleated but he is also the one running full speed. Jamar wall just leaned into the hit.
Yeah and he also got low when he hit, exactly what I was trying to say. If it weren't for the helmet to helmet contact in this hit it would have been perfect for Jamar Wall and Zac Robinson would have had his world rocked. Instead that helmet hitting caused it to be detrimental to both players.
Defenders are supposed, according to rule book, to hit with shoulder pads, with head on either side of offensive player. Any tackle that involves helmet hitting offensive player first is supposed to be a penalty. Using helmets is how defenders these days go for highlight/kill shots.
@tcam1213 No helmet to helmet is like a sitting QB in the pocket or an over thrown ball on a receiever over the middle or a so called defensiveless player. Helmet to helmet is usually NEVER ever called againgst someone hitting a runningback or in this case the ball carrier. The ball carrier is not defensiveless obviously and furthermore the ball carrier lowers his head trying to truck someone obviously not defenseless. You can still hit a ball carrier facemask to facemask if you want.
your an idiot. i think that about sums it up and if your such a bad ass then why aren't you out there playin. i guess it's kinda easy to be a typein tough guy???
That hit is why I love Wall.......he could have made a form tackle, but instead he went for the knock out to try to get a fumble. He put his own health at risk to try to help his team.
