shotgun is so damn overpowered lol....but it takes skill,confidence,and experience to combine it with other weapons like the mk2 or stun knife,so props for that,your pretty good
@umwhoalol Nha, It's not overpowered. It's just more controversial than most other weapons. Of course, M4s and Aks are better with headshots due to that you can spray with it. But the shotgun is restricted to single-shots. If there was a shotgun with the characteristics of an M4 (being able to shoot far away and get headshots or do decent damage and spray), and still retain it's knockdown effect fro ANY range... then yeah, THEN it would be overpowered.

@lian5k You always have 4 slots and some skills costs 1 slot even in level 3 like mono 3 and quarterback 3 and trickster 3. Narc 3 once costed 1 slot but some update changed narc to costs 1 slot per level , thats why its not used anymore
@HybridSoldier9311 Not many people still play it. The community is awful, full of cheaters and I really would not recommend MGO to you. It's also an extremely difficult game with a huge learning curve. Going up against people who've been playing it for 2 years, you'll get slaughtered every match.
However, I do highly recommend getting Metal Gear Solid 4. The single player is fantastic.

I tested it with my clan leader he was in a G.G. tower and I was at the white roof and tried to shoot him with slug bullets( and turned the shotty into a sniper) and NO HIT >_<
BTW, the shotgun CAN be used to snipe if you use the slug ammo and a scope. It's preferred on a SAIGA. Although, I really don't recommend shotty sniping unless you're REALLY good.
The thing about the shotgun is that it can be beat, even at close range. If you get knocked down by a shotty, if you're quick enough, you can hit them in the head before the second shot.
All in all, the shotty is just as effective a weapon as the others... when used correctly. People complain because shotty players (like myself) kill them easily. That's only because we use it right. It's MEANT for up close shooting.
How does a shotgun require skill to get kills with??
If your in range, it knocks them down, throws their aim off and stuns them for about 1.5 seconds, so basicly, once your first shot hits, they're left wide open to another, and it really only takes two shots from a shotty to kill.
Even if you're shooting from a sniping distance, it still stuns them for a second and throws their aim off---giving you another free shot.
I can tell you've never used a shotgun. You're so wrong about so many times.
Shotgun DOES require skill, try it and you'll see. Yes, at close range at shotgun doesn't often lose a fire-fight, but you need to GET up close first. Avoiding headshots doing so.
At sniping range a shotgun is as good as useless. It does very little damage and doesn't affect them (they can still aim properly).
I have shotgun 3 skill so I've had enough experience with a shotty to know it well enough. Avoiding head shots comes with what ever tactic you use, so that's not going to convince me.And with the shotty you have a handgun, a nade or team mate to help.The shotty is just ovrpowered for a low DP cost weapon in my opinion. If it cost more DP, then maybe I'd like it more. The combos were cool, but I think the shotty is too unbalanced to be fair compared to weapons that cost around the same DP amount.

I think i really know why i struggle on MGO, well struggle to get past level 10. Looking at all the pro players, they move the camera to pin-point accuracy to get headshots before clicking L1 and then finishing their enemy.
That's why i suck... i don't use the camera to full advantage and i rely to much on the speed (10) of the over-shoulder camera. I MUST LEARN!!! xD

Well, that's your opinion. One thing I would say, try the shotgun yourself, you might find it's harder than you think.
Shotgunning requires skill and technique. You can kill me from the other end of the map, I need to get right up close to you without getting shot in the head and shoot you, not once but twice, at least.
Any player worth his salt can spin around and HS a shotty user right after getting knocked down. It's practically a disadvantage once you reach the higher levels.
5 stars. Truly remarkable stuff. I hope to see you somewhere. I use a good COD4 tactic against shotty people like you, I pull a nade right before I'm about to get finished. 2 out of 3 times, it takes us both. :)

The most awesome shotgun ownage vid ever and simply the most awesome "combo" video ever. Though most ki.lls shown are against lvl 10- guys, the combos are still awesome. One shot, CQC, Mk.2 and kill combo looks so freakin sweat.
But does the shotgun+stunknife really does work against pros? I mean here you were "lucky" that the all used the slow get up. If you use the quick one I doubt that you'll be quick enough for the stun.
Anyway your skills are truly awesome and it shows that the shotgun isn't really a noob weapon :)
Funny you should say that actually. I've got a vid coming out very soon, in which I only kill high level players. I managed to record me doing it to many good players.
Generally, they tend to shoot from on the ground, pro players are just as predictable as noobs.

im agreeing with revolverocelot here, this is by far the most AMAZING shotgun, and MGO, video ive ever seen. i especially loved the combos you made up (shotgun, knife, shotgun, and shotgun flinch shot, CQC, MK.2, shotgun) i rate you 5 stars.
"1v1?", what a typical scrub's way of proving you're better than someone. What you fail to realise is, MGO requires tactics and teamwork, therefore a 1v1 would prove nothing.

I think i really know why i struggle on MGO, well struggle to get past level 10. Looking at all the pro players, they move the camera to pin-point accuracy to get headshots before clicking L1 and then finishing their enemy.
That's why i suck... i don't use the camera to full advantage and i rely to much on the speed (10) of the over-shoulder camera. I MUST LEARN!!! xD
BTW really awesome combos! MK.2 is just ownage there!

You should always have a headshot roughly lined up before pressing L1. Check out my DM vids to see how I headshot.

wow i read alot of these comments the only person i have to agree with is Dhallproductions and serioously I SUCK with a shotty when i use it i piss my own self off. and Nalkjn2 usually i cant tell what weapon someone has until i actually get close to them. Then i get shot and where am i? on the ground. Y? because of the shotgun which i didnt know the enemy had...................still hate the shotgun but the video was AWESOME!

in my mgo so many people say i copied this combos from you shawy...but i first saw them at ryufhes vidz....i love using shotgun...the people insult me very often...but i own them also on much distance ...with shotgun against m4 so that takes much skill,do that in first person view...i think its tougher to use shotgun than using other weapons

Well, that's your opinion. One thing I would say, try the shotgun yourself, you might find it's harder than you think.
Shotgunning requires skill and technique. You can kill me from the other end of the map, I need to get right up close to you without getting shot in the head and shoot you, not once but twice, at least.

Any player worth his salt can spin around and HS a shotty user right after getting knocked down. It's practically a disadvantage once you reach the higher levels.

The most awesome shotgun ownage vid ever and simply the most awesome "combo" video ever. Though most ki.lls shown are against lvl 10- guys, the combos are still awesome. One shot, CQC, Mk.2 and kill combo looks so freakin sweat.

But does the shotgun+stunknife really does work against pros? I mean here you were "lucky" that the all used the slow get up. If you use the quick one I doubt that you'll be quick enough for the stun.
Anyway your skills are truly awesome and it shows that the shotgun isn't really a noob weapon :)

Funny you should say that actually. I've got a vid coming out very soon, in which I only kill high level players. I managed to record me doing it to many good players.
Generally, they tend to shoot from on the ground, pro players are just as predictable as noobs.
