@blicksflicks hahaha funny =) im done with macs though... they're too expensive down here in brazil... i can get a waaaay better pc for a lot less money... since I mess with music and such... i would need a 5thousand mac... i'm gonna get a 1thousand pc. xD
@rufiorocksmysocks That Macbook can do a lot more than just browse the web and check emails. You need to check out all the the mac software out there for it. I love my 17" Macbook Pro.
@blicksflicks It sure can't. It's old as hell... It's terrible... can't wait to go back to PCs... not as reliable, but WAY cheaper, and get the job done.
Thats a nice mouse!! Pro gamers still use it to this day (2011) lol. Funny thing is, i hooked my silver MS intelli mouse up to my playstation2 once, worked perfectly without issue on the original red faction game :) Odd that a game console would have better mouse support then a mac computer.
I had the same problem on my brand new MacBook Pro. I think resetting the PRAM helped. But I still have a lot other problems with my mouse. My cursor skips, jumps and moves very imprecisely. It's all because of the Mac OS X USB drivers. I needed to change the polling rate from 500 Hz to 125 Hz. Now it runs a lot smoother but it still shakes and the acceleration sucks.
well for me, once i got a copy of leopard, things changed a lot. yeah... i mean, sometimes it still doesn't recognize, but once it happens, the second time i plug it in, it works perfectly!
I have found that my mobile phone being near my usb mouse, causes the mouse to freeze when the phone sends or receives data/calls. if it is an extensive amount of data (email, etc) the mouse is disabled and i have to unplug and plug back in to get to work. i now keep my phone a few feet away and no problems.
well i am not using this specific microsoft usb mouse.. but a noral usb mouse (which is uually made for windows)
maybe you jsut clicked a window away,when you plugged it in the first time... you need to go to the mouse config and here it will let you configure pretty much stuff.... when you've done it,it hsould run everytime when you plug the mouse in :)
I do not know your problem, wish I could help, but I do HIGHLY recommend the Mighty Mouse. If possible use it for about 20 minutes or so to get a good feel for it prior to purchasing it. I think it's the best mouse for OS X.
How sacrilegious! Using a Microsoft mouse with a Mac. I wouldn't have that mouse if you gave it to me. Buy a Logitech mouse for your Macbook! :{

Try turning BlueTooth off in System Preferences. This seems to fix the issue.

Learn how to say "Recognise". It's not that hard. That should fix your problem.
