  • You've got to love Roger Taylor's departure from the norm and his hard rock return on what was an opera style album!

Good hard rock with a twist that only Queen could deliver!

  • The production and engineering on this song are outstanding, especially on the backing vocals

  • This is an anthem for back when cars had SOUL. and beauty that you just don't find in cars built today. Why do you think everyone is trying to go RETRO? Because they don't have a fucking clue how to design beauty today.

  • @tertommy I used to have an ugly, 70 roadrunner, sold it to pay bills. Not a day goes by that I wish I hadn't kept that car.

  • @tertommy

Wish I still had mine, it was my 1st car - bought it when I was 15. 318 V8 notch back w/ headers, 4-barrel Rochester Quadra Jet, etc. God I did love that car.

  • @beb70s

Forgot to mention it was a '67 Plymouth Barracuda

  • 267 including mine thumbs up! 5 down. I say the thumbs up have it :o)

  • Well, all of the elitists seem to hate this song...All the more reason to enjoy it. Of all of the Queen songs this is the one that I searched out on YouTube. I guess I'm just stupid enough to enjoy it, just like I did back in the day in my 70' Nova. It was a great car & this is a great tune. If you don't like it why are you watching it?

  • Those who bought the disk because of Bohemian Rhapsody and accidentally played this song first were most likely wondering, "well, where the hell is that Opera part they talk about a lot?" LOL

  • God help us......

    It's a freaking song!

  • This is 6/8 greatness. Also, NOT sung by Freddie.

  • @32Rainking

I love my cars, I don't take it as far as some men, ish, but yes I love them. Why do you think somebody is less inteligent if they "love" their car? No, I don't blast "i can't drive 55" That song sucks a lot of dick, but I do like this song though.

  • No I have a car, but I have better things to do than "Love it, and this song is gay and for the weak minded, I bet you blast Hagar's I can't drive 55 too, you guys are about as deep as a puddle of mole piss, and smell like it too. The fox and sour grapes defense, what are ya's mentally 9 years old, that might be giving you too much credit

  • @32Rainking i had a polite and well thought out argument written. But I honestly don't believe you deserve it. This song is great in it's own right. Just because it's not the traditional queen does not mean it should be hated. A great addition to a great album and if queen thought it deserved a spot, then who are YOU to argue? It's a song for the average american, in love with his v8 muscle car and wanting to sing to the world about it, you unfortunately have not experienced the joy of it all

  • @SIRSizzlebottom the average American is a waste of space-and this song blows, and no polite well thought out arguments, or generic delusional fluff you spew is going to change any of that

  • @32Rainking i'd also like to say that your latest post is beyond childish and definitely not deep. I pity you for taking a jab at someone's hobby and trying to inflate your already incredibly bloated ego. You drive a hatchback and derive no joy from it. Please, don't insult those that can take pleasure from an activity you cannot. Because in the end, the only one that comes out looking like a 9 year old is you.

  • @SIRSizzlebottom For people w/a psychological makeup such as yours, I do not care how I sound; truly if they don't like what I'm saying, I know I'm doing something right. Plus you copy statements verbatim. I don't drive a hatchback&get a lot of pleasure from driving;but being in love with a car-a retarded concept-not only are there the only other person w/a brain's comment about those diturbing philias, but it remains a song for 9year olds-it's about deep as a puddle of Stag beetle piss.

  • @32Rainking Yes, maidensizzlebottom-is that some sort of grotesque call for sodomy? I do not knock people who enjoy restoring cars for a hobby, nor do I have disdain for people who simply have pride in their cars.NE1 who'd say they are in love w/it-well they're damn pathetic,&need to prioritze;it's a hunk of metal,an inanimate object. But I don't see where I knocked people 4having the aforementioned hobbies, just this lyrically weak song your retarded rationaliztions, the weak minded&dumb sc-names

  • @32Rainking Your comments are illegible half the time. and it seems like you fit into that average american criteria quite well. Just because you don't understand the simple concept of loving a car doesn't mean it's wrong or stupid, or makes you mentally inept. people have passed on vehicles from their parents and loved ones. to them, it's not only a vehicle, but a friend as well. it's no longer just a bag of bolts.

  • @32Rainking I have nothing else to say, and won't be checking these comments again. So really, anything else you might say will just make you look more foolish than you already do. Next time, if you don't enjoy a song, don't deliberately search for it on the internet only to leave rude, hateful, and poorly structured comments. adieu

  • @SIRSizzlebottom Nothing left to say-you had nothing to say in the 1st place, besides, as I said, I'd rather be disagreed w/ and have words put in my mouth&have lame ass insults thrown like a bytch at me from pathetic wastes like you. In the abscence of praise from great men/women, the hatered of the simple minded mental midgets, the weak, and plain pathetic will suffice-so thank you madam sizzlebottom,& go f your light socket

  • @32Rainking you're smart, use your skills in a better way. politics maybe. Queen is really an excellent and legendary band on a different note

  • @ThatsaCryinShame can't argue w/ you-you have me, it's a gift I've for the most part squandered, inasmuch that I've had to use it to survive, live beyond my means, and write blogs&make people look stupid on you tube, when I should be thriving, also worked a lot w/ my body should be using my mind-you have to be smart to have picked up on that. Yes, Queen is an incredible band, sadly this song is not them at their best

  • @32Rainking Why talk down to people? I don't claim to be at an equal level of intelligence as you, however I just don't understand your reasoning. Talking down never wins an argument nor does it sway anyone to a particular point of view. A book you may want to read --> Dale Carnegie, How to Win Friends and Influence People. Great read, take a look and good luck.

  • @DrockUSA Well, my friend when people are annoyingly idiotic, and in denial of the fact, I just tell them what I think of them. I don't what to be rude to you, so....let's just say, I don't need any self help books. I don't really want anymore friends than I already have. I have just a few but they are real friends-quality not quantity my friend, just look at the large percentage of idiots on youtube-good luck to you too

  • I'm in love with my car. Since I'm a girl, the song should say "Tell my man I have to forget him" <3

  • 5 people clearly are not car guys LOL while 255 of us are (gonna play this and go work on my mustang XD)

  • Yes he sure did, thus the only crappy song on the album, and a place in the top 150 albums ever instead of the top 100, this song sucks, it's lyrics are juvenile, the music is mediocre at best, Roger just can't sing&should stick to drums. It's funny too, b/c everyone else in the band CAN sing. OMG this song sucks so bad, almost as much as the album rules!

  • Roger did the lead vocals in this song and Freddie did backing vocals. look it up

  • I used to really like this song till I saw this weird shit on TV about people who are literally "in love with their cars" Like they are sexually attracted to cars and consider them their lovers.I'm an open minded person but that shit disturbed me.I think It even traumatized me a bit because every time I try to jam to this,it just pops back into my head. You can watch the program here on youtube, but beware it will probably ruin this awesome Queen song for you, too.

  • @CRBjeep I saw that wacky shit, there are some nuts out there oh yes there are, but I always hated this song w/ an intense passion b/c it detracts from one of the best albums ever.

  • @32Rainking Indeed,it would have been more appropriate on a different album.I actually just really like the melody,I could do with out the lyrics.

  • @CRBjeep Yes the lyrics and song are gay as all hell, it could have &should have been on a less great album-couldn't agree more

  • @CRBjeep there is video of dude who actually humped an suv...haha

  • I miss the 70's

  • This Song Rocks!!! I remember in '76 I bought the Bohemian Rhapsody single, and this song, "I'm In Love With My Car" was on the B-Side. When I first heard this, I was blown away!!!

    THIS SONG STILL KICKS ASS!!!

  • I wish I was his car...

  • I'm pretty sure this was a double en-tundra

  • @rjanis123 I am pretty damn sure you are right. ;-)

  • The vocals, especially the backing vocals are outstanding in this song....the deep reverb sounds fantastic....we'll never have another group like Queen, no group today even comes close to that kind of production and studio perfection.

  • Evidently, 3 people would rather walk.....if they had ever had a car,(mine was a 79 dark blue Trans Am), they would understand....

  • how i love this song

  • Anyone else think this sounds like Roger Waters from Pink Floyd?

  • @Stunray

God no. Waters can't stay in key whatsoever.

  • @Stunray

I was thinking the same. I thought it was Pink Floyd the first time.

  • @Raveqcn Pink Floyd? I can see being thrown by Roger taking lead vocals but the distinctive Red Special sound, not to mention the backing harmonies on the chorus, pretty much scream "Queen!"

  • @ScooterGirl9988

Don't take it too serious :) He (the lead) just sounds a bit like Roger...in my opinion...

  • @Raveqcn Roger did sing this one.

  • @Stunray negative...Waters does not sing at this high of a note

  • i was 5 when my dad gave me this album. I got addicted. now i am 13 and i still am.

  • Theres no option for "Love".. only like and dislike.. thats bullshit. LOL

  • @RolePlayHumor now 3 more got to take the train!!!

  • cars don't talk back there just 4 wheel friends now :-) DAMN BEST LYRIC EVER !

  • Why can't radio stations play songs like this instead of the same 2 songs from any given group for 30 years straight?

  • Comment removed

  • kick-ass cruising tune

  • FUCKING AWESOME VOICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Best song to turn wrenches too, or turn wenchs out too, depends on your surplus

Ha ! Anyyhow teen years in the garage and a 67 RS Camaro, 327 CI with this song cracked out of an 8- track, oh what grand memories too, maybe its time to finish that clutch job on the 97 Z-28 sitting in the garage, hmmm

    Thanks for the reality check!

  • love this one ....cranked ... to the teens ...lol

  • Belongs on the "All

Time Drivers Cd" All the songs that get ya tickets

  • only the fact that he said "stupidest" allows me to think that hes an idiot..dont bother with him

  • I'M IN LOVE WITH MY ESCALADE!!!!!!!! :P

  • the lyrics ARE a little lame... BUT! it IS Queen, so this song is epic, and the lyrics are pure POWER!

  • @kermitcintronsucks You have never heard Rock Lobster.

  • ♥ Roger

  • The backing vocals are incredible, just the right amount of reverb, incredible production and recording

  • This was my 1973 Nova & Me before I flipped it in '93.

  • bon jovi should cover this, this takes good rock vocals to do.

  • @thejahoflife Lol....bon jovi.....hehe

  • @thejahoflife No one should cover this. In case you haven't noticed, pretty much every Queen cover ever done has been a failure. People just can't match up to Freddie, Brian, or Roger's vocals.

  • @TheAerochick13 That is a narrow minded comment. The world will always have talent on it somewhere. Leave room for the future musicians, there are many good ones out there.

  • @thejahoflife I wouldn't say narrow-minded, it's more along the lines of experience. I say leave songs with their original artists. If musicians are so great and talented, they can come up with something on their own rather than using someone elses work.

  • @TheAerochick13 John Lennon said "there's nothing you can sing that cant be sung" All music is written using the notes we have on the scale from c to c and we are bound to write music that sounds similar to other music. I believe you can cover a song in an original way....case in point "you cant hurry love" Phil collins cover of a Supremes hit. Similar yet still unique.

  • @TheAerochick13 James Dean Bradfield would do a good job.

  • @thejahoflife they can also try to divide the red sea ^^

  • I was actually really surprised that this wasn't Freddy Mercury. Not because Freddy sounds like this, but because the singer here is so awesome. Bloody hell, I guess some guys get all the talent...

  • such a kickass voice...... awesome

  • This drummer has a freakishly amazing voice!

  • 'I'm In Love With My Car' was written and sung by Queen drummer, "Roger Taylor" after Freddie Mercury refused to sing the song himself. Mercury thought the song was a joke when it was initially presented to him by Taylor.

  • @70sPopRock bicycle race was ok though ?whatta fag

  • @JOEKEG1ST OMFG... I thought the same thing... although this song could have benn written by Freddie. "With my hand on you grease gun." ROFL...

  • there's something crap about the production on this song................

  • Am I the only one that wasn't in love with Roger's voice? .__. It's okay but I'm not all for it.

  • Strange that the two best singers of the 70ies/80ies besides

Bon Scott played in the same band

  • Happy Birthday Roger Meddows Taylor! Born on July 26th 1949! My favorite drummer ever.♪♥

  • @TheBlackQueen1974 Amen sister!!! Roger is a god!!

  • música foda.

  • who sings on this song?

    Is that Brian May?

  • @zepplepplin Roger Taylor

  • Im in love with my car.....ford cortina 1968 ......justlike me

  • bryan may in solo? yup!!!!

  • @reefreefers

    Singing?

  • sounds like led zepp.. that's not freddie singing is it?

  • @WhitetailWillie It's Roger Taylor the Drummer. Freddie does sing in the harmonies though.

  • @WhitetailWillie

No, this is Roger Taylor's (Drums) vocals. He was and is a big time fast car nut.

  • Wow he has a really cool voice! he should have done more leads;)-

  • I'm in love with Queen.

  • Il suono del motore e' dall' Alfa Romeo. The sound of the engine is from an Alfa Romeo. Forza!!!

  • this song is better than evry single song by u2 and whatever the other money grubbin` talentless band is out there right now selling out arenas, uhm coldplay?? geez the talent pool is so shallow now they are going to guitar schools to try and sign the guitar hacks into 'stars'...too bad none of them 'guitar school' idiots can write a song to save their mothers` life,

  • @PAULOcbi shit ain't like it used to be is it? To call such bands talentless is underexagerating

  • this song amazing live, rogers a demon on the drums

  • Roger is beast. His voice is so kick-ass!

  • the drummer sounds like an eighties power ballad singer when he sings this. thats always what i notice

  • what a fucking great song. I dedicate this song to my beloved big SUV. I'm in love with my car! XOXO

  • folks folks, music is music, listen to the implentation of the words but let the drama of its sound take you away. thats why they were and are who they are despite there own carrying on today even they know it'll be a long long time before a rocket man like that shoots forth into action. im not talking about Mr.Paul Rogers but at least theyre doing what they love to do and thats PLAY MUSIC. THANKYOU GOODNIGHT! IF YOU DIDNT GET IT, YOU JUST WERNT BORN IN THAT TIME but try time travel, its fun!

  • My favorite Queen tune ever.....and love that Mother Love Bone covers this...

  • umm AIDS.

  • Nice Song!

  • Spaccapassa, you are the bee's knees for uploading this album. Screw the music of today, I wasn't alive at the time unfortunatley, but I'd much rather be in the 70s...

  • The song it's fantastic. Very good.

  • How bad is this. I'm listening to this to psyche myself up before I go out and get my new car! Cars and Queen. Doesn't get much better than that!

  • I just bought a new car this weekend and i've had this song in my head all day so i had to listen!

  • @esmokah Great comment! It's interesting how songs from our past pop up when an event in our life happens. This song was in my head when I bought my 6-speed Mazda RX-8. I felt like I had a real race car!

  • i'm in love with my 24 CT PANHARD (French Car)

  • I just got a new car.... :D Nell's anthem me thinks

  • This is, by far, one of Queen's best songs. And it isn't even Freddie Mercury singing lead.

  • I guess this is the really only hetero song Queen made.

  • @TerrierBram What in the -- that's just a screwed comment. Queen made plenty of "hetero" songs. Queen wasn't a homo band, three of the four members were straight. And Freddie wasn't even gay, he was bisexual. Besides, how the junk does a song have a sexuality anyway?

  • @SlightlyMadNyx13 well my brother had always Rolling Stones, Status Quo, Jimi Hendrix records. My sister was a Queen fan. Statistically insignificant, but to me important. And I never noticed this, before your comment. Anyway, there is something about gays girls like. He was bisexual could be. This song I always liked the most, when I was a kid, and still do, of all Queens work. All other songs have something affected. Youre aware that a queen is an other word for a gay?

  • @TerrierBram Yes I knew that. But you're implying that they never wrote any "hetero" songs. Not true. What about "Tie Your Mother Down"? "Sweet Lady"? Are you aware that "Love Of My Life" was dedicated to the love of Freddie's life, Mary Austen?

  • @SlightlyMadNyx13 and if fat bottomed girls isnt hetero then what the hell is lol

  • @banneradders Lol I know right?

  • @TerrierBram Never heard Stone Cold Crazy I take it?

  • can someone tell me, this isn't freddie singing is it?

doesn't sound like him, but then again that could just lend to his incredible versatility
