I was just thinking about how much I love taking a drive through the mountains and listening to my road trip music. I searched "Mountain Drive" I was surprised to see this look so familiar. I'm from Calgary, and I go to BC often. I love taking this drive. :) <3
Flyfishermen that's not the only road in the british columbia mountains, if this trucker was on hwy 3 you would have allot of trouble holding that camera, hwy 8 to. Great music & video.
cool video! I have been across all the major passes in the US but never seen the canadian side. It is very scenic. It reminds me of both Snoqualmie Pass in washington and Lookout Pass on the border of Montana and Idaho.
Ah yeah the Coke. I haven't seen that since the snow STARTED falling. Now it's nice and clear, no TOLL, and no chain law in effect. Did you stop at the puppy dog?
They call it that at that Husky. The toll was taken out only about four months ago if I can remember. It was there on a Thursday, Friday everyone was told they were laid off, and it was gone
Yeah, I heard it closed suddenly, like nobody knew it was gonna do. You know how rumors fly in this line of work. But you would expect the workers to expect it. And it's not about the ressession.
Not for the lines. And they're re-painting them now. It's the traffic, kinda slow-poke all the time, or hammer down all the way. The day I returned, a truck flipped into a lake near Salmon Arm. And the four wheeler traffic in the summer is horrendous!

All European trucks have side skirts, to prevent cyclists to fall under the trailer.

Mmm... the Puppy dog? Not familiar. Last time on the Coke there was a toll... I think it has been eleven months since my last BC.

Such a crawl up the Coke there eh?
I was up there a month ago
Thanks for sharing
drumPRO 2 years ago
Crawl? Well, it depends. I was defenetly faster than the B-train. But yeah, at 85,000lbs @ 40kmps it felt like one.

Well, you sure as hell have to work for your money when you're in B.C.
lol
Hope to see more of B.C.

The only part I don't really enjoy is the stretch from Golden to Kamloops. Or the Crownest if I have to do it. But it works mileage wise.

rogertrucker 2 years ago
Yeah, I'll have to agree with you there
The lines and road are pretty hard to see there too between Golden and Kamloops
I really like driving through B.C. because it's so mountainous and scenic
It's just, it's hard to not to want to stop and enjoy it
lol
