  • This is great. My MK-1 is in the mail. Can't wait.

  • Me... Me and my... rhythm bots... Hooray for obscure 80s film references!

Great job man. Really love the enclosure too.

  • Could one potentially make a purely analog CPU with the computing power of an average PC? If so, what advantages would such a processing unit have over its digital counterpart?

  • is that going into a guitar amp or computer?

  • what are these made out of and where do you find out how to make them?

  • @theonelinerkid hello, these are kits available via ericarcher . net .. $55 ea .. soldering required

  • I seriously want to make a massive symphony of sound with an army of these things!!!!! O.o

  • Is it me or does the 'Tune in Tokio' have lots of heavy dubstep potential?

  • This is the beat to my nightmares

  • Is the box lid a parameter for some effect in that box or am i going crazy?

  • @ausgerm your sensors are calibrated. the lid of the box is controlling the pitch, filter parameters by blocking light to photocells.

  • @EA78751 That's funny, it looks like the lid iteslef is smothering the sound at some point. That would make it the first rythm machine with an ACOUSTIC low pass filter.

  • And how do you handle the mixing down, is it passive to one mono out or two mono outs (a left and right)? External PS?

  • Cool. So maybe to dual pin headers like the suonio and a permanent wires to either side of the IR led would allow temporary cable routing I suppose. Also you are using screws into the supports from the base of teh box to make it rugged for transport, yes?

Whole new meaning to "beatbox". I Like!

  • Eric how do you link the two rows? Its IR left to right in a row so...

I dig the lid's impact on light levels to the circuit detectors.

    Heavy me

  • @kidtronic added wire to extend the IR output LED on the top right unit. it is moved to hit the bottom left units IR input.
