I taught Marshall to how to Play when He lived in H.B.,CA (12-16) HE would eat @ our apt. & stay till Midnight ,NO one was @ home & his Mom WORKED VERY Hard & it felt like She worked 24-7,,,.SHE was a Singer.
King Tone! Bass that's boss. Blusey guitar hooks and riffs that can cut through diamonds. Real music for a time when guys used to kick-start their motorcycles (and build them too).
About 15 years ago I lived next door to Marshall's Mom Barb, she would share great stories and pictures about Marshall.
Unfornutaley this was also the time he was deep in his drug stage, each time I saw him he seemed to be a troubled soul, he was however wonderful with his kids and I could see he was very disappointed that he did not have his act together enough to care and interact as he would have liked.
Marshall was a very talented and tormented man, I know Barb misses him dearly
onebigmo54 - Just saw your note on this page. First, I knew Marshall from late 1982 through late 1985- he lived with me- BF/GF- we made music btwn J&M's & Cruzados. I knew his personal habits well. He was 19 when we met and WAY into drugs. What broke us up: I was stopping- he wasn't. But, I NEVER knew him as "tormented" or "troubled," simply a genius needing a damper from the world. His addiction=needles=AIDS= tragedy. PLEASE tell BARB I have music/photos for her & his kids. gr8shiva2 at yahoo
It surprises me, a little, that nobody has mentioned the fact that Pat Benatar is singing background here, but that's okay. It wasn't about the money. Plugz/Cruzados just kicked ass all over the 80's.
I agree its a great song, I too was looking for it , five years ago and amazon was like the only place i could find it but i didn't have any money to buy it. luckily for me I found it three days ago I rated, commented, and even added it to my favorites not to mention subscribed. you should now have luck finding it by typing the song with the bands name, that's what i do when i have a hard time looking for a particular song
I used to play in a band with Tito's (guitar and lead vocals) brother, Leo, and went to school with Chalo (drums) in El Paso. i love these guys. This is the best band no one knows about. Shame they're not together anymore. You can catch Tito with his group Tito and Tarantula and Chalo is all over the place playing with Bob Dylan and all.
Awesome song from 1987! I loved the original video which is not to be found anywhere. Thanks for taking the time to upload and remember this great song!!
