I don't know who directed this DVD or Special or Movie. But whoever did, it was awful.

The camera always seemed to be in the WRONG place at the wrong time. Focusing on the least important part of the performance, when the camera needed to be in another position.

OMG you are so right! First time I saw this absolutely amazing performance, was how totally horrible the director is. I've done live manual switch and editing for years, and I just want to cringe everytime I try to watch it. It's like they just keep switching cameras with no consideration of what is going on. I'd love to get a hold of the stock footage, so I could put together an excellent product. It could be that whom ever was directing the camrea wk was useless, not the editor.

..to temper things a bit, to those that are saying this is "a wreck" by tim..this is far from tim's best effort. it is in no way a wreck though. yeah, the timing is a little off, but it is the last song of the show. i imagine both are tired. these 2 at 50% are better than most. just not a usual epic tim and dave version. check out "old dirt hill," or "lie in our graves," from the same show for that. or, just listen to "Live at Luther College." Tim is pretty much a god.

And I totally agree with you as far as the studio vs live tracks. The only exception is GrooGrux. I think most of those songs sound better on the CD than they do live.

@nikko001231 volume pedal and slide, good luck. i would suggest not even trying to emulate anything that Tim does at Radio City. He is one of the most creative acoustic players ever and its best to let him do his thing... I speak from experience haha. With that said he has some great licks that you can incorporate into your own style but its impossible to sound like him.
