I think this new album is a really good direction for them to go. I liked Major Lodge Victory pretty well, but I do like this one probably better. The old stuff was for it's time and place, and trying to recreate an album like NME would probably have been futile. I like the use of the keyboards on NCC, which I think brings in a really cool element to their sound. Sort of a "rounding out" of their overall sound.
eh it's alright but it doesn't sound like the old Gin Blossoms, compare another song on this album like Don't Change For Me, to Hey Jealously and the difference is gigantic. at least for that track it sounds like they gave into pop because that does not sound like the amazing alternative rock sound they once had
