I mean the fun is the not knowing, the fun is the wondering if your work and tactics have done enough to bring fish into your swim so using it to see fish etc is just wrong. Using it to see if snags im casting into are a danger to the fish for me to fish in or are gonna lose me money in rigs and leads etc isnt wrong. Ok you cast out and hit into a nice size 20lb+ carp on a hard day, yet get real snagged and have to break off, it isnt non fun to make that not happen.

everything has alot of uses, another real good thing i do with mine is when im on new venues and they are snaggy etc (Obviously im talking about when carp fishing not pole etc).. its nice to lower it in and have a little look to see how bad snags are, are there areas not to really fish simply for carp safety cos they are just to snaggy to risk fishing, you can use it for all sorts really that dont take the fun out but help a little, not like looking for fish which helps in a non fun way.

alot of lakes i fish are deep even in the margins and very coloured so i thought it was a good idea to use the camera to check my rigs on the lake bottom in the margins, mainly so i was confident for the rest of my session with my rigs and presentation etc on the lake beds, i never used it to go out to my rigs once i cast out or to look for fish, ive looked at them in little rivers but not whilst fishing and never on my lakes.

I have a camera but ive never used to to look for fish, i use it and its pretty rare now days if im honest but originally i bought it to use to look at my rigs in the margins on different lake bottoms to try to camo my rigs into the lake bottom i was fishing. I only ever did in the margins to just check my presentation out on particular lakes. One lake i fish is 15 ft deep not 3 foot out and is 6 foot right next to the wood of the peg you fish.

Its ok for a bit of fun but for that much money and time is it realy worth it? I think that the camera would be good for wathing your rig but when it comes down to fish its just to big and it would scare the fish, overall not a good idea.

hmmm i can see the good points and the bad points of using a camera underwater, it would be good for seeing how your rig is working/sitting under the surface, but the video doesn't give you enough evidence to make a valid decision.
