  • Bitch

  • Amazing

  • I don't particularly like that form, but she is one of my favorite wushu masters. If she wasn't married, I would like to propose to her and make little wushu babies.

  • @zigzigerblat

    lmao @ "wushu babies".

  • @defiantwon33 For real yo!

  • nonono, this is all fake, it's some wicked CGI for sure, you cannot be that good, it's not human.

  • So precise and perfect O.O......

The 7 people that disliked this realized this is well beyond their realm of possibility... I wouldn't blame them.

  • i think im in love.......

  • @Dienamo1 I agree, TOTALLY <3

  • wow she is amazing, she's soo much better than me T.T

  • This martial art looks awesome as hell, especially at about 0:49 when she apparently turns into a human blender for the next ten seconds.

  • i think i am in love....

  • @wushu297

I think you are just as aware as I am, that Jet Li's primary "sifu" was "coach" Wu Bin before Jet Li "retired" before the age of 18.

Regarding Master "Ma Xiande" (or Xianda), was this the style he taught Jet Li

    as his "coach" or "sifu"?

Ma Style Tongbei Fanzi quan - Zhanzhuang Fan

  • I'm not really sure what you mean. I am aware of who Jet Li's coach was (Wu Bin) and I was only stating the name of the master who taught him Fanzi Quan, which is a traditional style. Though his traditional training was an augmentation of his wushu training, it is only mentoned to express the neccesity of learning traditional styles in Wushu from the 70's, 80's and 90's.

Zhao Changjun was a Cha Quan master before he competed and Yuan Wenqing also studied Cha Quan and Chen Style Taijiquan

  • @wushu297 "Though his traditional training was an augmentation of his wushu training, it is only mentoned to express the neccesity of learning traditional styles"

I would argue completely to the contrary. The communist govt of China was force converting that Traditionalists augment to teach the contemporary style of sport-Wu shu. Thus the term "coach". How old was Jet Li here? (youtube vid)

    "Li Lianjie fanzi quan"

  • You can argue whatever you feel like arguing but regardless of what your partisan belief is, the best wushu athletes of the 70's, 80's and 90's were also trained traditionally, often before they began competing in the sport (again, Zhao Changjun, Yuan Wenqing, Jiang Bangjun, the list is very long.)

I'm fascinated by people who feel they are benefiting others by arguing a partisan belief they were taught by someone else. Notice how there is no Nandu on my channel. Wonder why?

  • @wushu297 I totally agree about training in Traditional in combination with wushu and tai chi. I did this myself. Wushu training drastically improves certain core movements and leg work while traditional handles the more details and upper body movements. Tai chi increases fluidity, breathing, application and puts a microscope on the details.

  • Oh and Jet Li is 15 in the afore mentioned video

  • I should specify also that Yuan Wenqing learned Taiji in the traditional sense, not as a competition item.

  • Just beautiful. Thanks for the clip

  • 1:38 insane stance O.o

i dont even get so deep without falling on my back :D

  • women have lower centre of gravity =)

  • ah , the good old empty stance ... :P

  • i hear someone is jealous :o

  • POWER power!!

  • most powerful female martial artists I've seen. Like a female version of Terry fan.

  • I hear she is good with a gun

  • 10 Zhao quans lol

  • The instant cure for all wife beaters :)

  • changquan is martial art or group of styles??

  • changquan is translated to long fist. It's a style of wushu just like nanquan (southern fist). The style incorporates alot of long range attacks and acrobatic kicks which is why it is called long fist.

  • so that's group of styles...??

  • Pett1024:

"Wu Shu" translates as "War Art". But the term "Wu Shu", semantically speaking, is a performance art. It is a generic form of Chinese Martial Arts which takes traditional Gung-Fu (Chang Chuan being the most exploited) and extending it's boundaries beyond it's intended form. It's the contemporary form and "flashdance" of todays touring "Shoalin Monks".

Don't get me wrong. The Bejing Wu Shu Troupe (Jet Li...et al) are phenomenal performers. But this is Not traditional Gung-Fu.

  • Gong fu translates as a skill that with persistent effort is mastered and it is not exclusive the martial arts. the reason I upload videos from the pre-nandu era of wushu is that the practitioners also mastered traditional styles as specialties to augment their competition "flavor."

Nobody is calling this traditional gongfu, but you'll find that the consistent champions of wushu (yuan wenqing, zhao changjun and jet li) all mastered a traditional style.

  • @wushu297

Yes, I am quite familiar with the translatory term for "Gong fu". 1997 being "pre-nandu" is still awfully recent in my book, and there is a difference in their performances vs the late 70's early 80's era to which I am more acclimated with.

Not calling it "traditional gongfu" is still a question of semantics when one still considers the traveling so-called "Shaolin Monks" as legit.

What traditional style did Jet Li master?

  • Jet Li Mastered "Fanzi Quan" formerly known as "Ba Shan Feng." It is a traditional Hui Muslim style.

  • Jet Li Mastered yo mama TeetMauLam. Just because you have a cantonese name doesn't mean you aren't a bitch

  • "Loads Of B.S." Yes indeed...Sorry to break it to you, but your Michael Jackson style of Martial Arts is nothing but the dream of a paper tiger. Contemporary "Wu Shu" looks great as a dance...but has no value in combat. When you grow up in the next 174 years, you might get a hold of that concept. Jet Li and the Beijing boys and girls are not fighters. And yes, Santa Claus is also myth.

    Do you need some tissue?

  • I already pointed out that Jet li mastered a traditional style.

  • @wushu297

OK...Who was Jet Li's sifu who taught him Fanzi Quan. I also understand that he also learned a "style" called Bagua who was his sifu for that entire system. I am also aware that he studied Tai-ji...Who was the traditional sifu who taught him that? He also knew Xing-Yi and Tang Lang Chuan...who were his respective sifus who taught him these traditional systems?????

  • @TeetMauLau

Honestly I do not know who taught Jet Li Bagua, Taijiquan, Xing Yi or Tang Langquan, nor was I aware that he learned these styles outside of his movie portrayals of them. Perhaps you could answer that question better than I.

The master who taught him Fanzi Quan was Ma Xiande, the PREMIER Hui muslim gongfu expert of his generation. Traditional to the core, and whom players such as Yuan Wenqing and Zhao Changjun have also revered.

  • Hahahahaha you cling sooooo desperately to what you have read in many books or were taught by some wannabe traditionalist. Even Bruce Lee said traditional Kung Fu was wasteful and useless? Hahaha can you show me one application in that Choy lee fut video you favorited?

Seems like if he added some jump kicks it would look alot like wushu, but alas, jump kicks and awesomeness are anti tradition so we shouldn't practice it. BWHAHAHAHA

  • yeah i agree, whu shu is a demonstration sport. it is stupid for self defense

  • I could give you an application in any style.

  • @LoansOfYogurt nop he didnt say that.

  • Pett1024

Changquan isn't anything specific. There are many traditional styles from Shaolin to Chen style Taijiquan that all have a changquan set in their curriculum. The Chang Quan presented here is a modern one created from different traditional styles for the sake of competition.

  • omg i want to marry her haha

i do wushu and we all admire this women....she is without a doubt the best female in wushu!!

  • hoooooly shit

  • I was waiting for the big finish at the end of the run or sprint or whatever it's called. Felt a little disappointed :( Where are the tornado kicks? The jumping 3 way kicks? Bleh

  • what are you talkin about...shes awesome..this is not. fuckin." tae kwon do"......this is chinese wushu!!!...

this is not just acrobatic..its accurate...its strong!!! like she does..

  • Whatever. Search up "Joel Denis Moon Moo" or "Suska Juche" that is my personal opinion of precision, power and accuracy. Once again, my personal opinion, i just dont see it the same way you do. I personally see alot of running about and moving with not much bone breaking technique. Must be because I dont study that art that i cant see it eh?

  • well..this is wushu...its really fast...but...its not so strong..if we talk about "power"...!!!!...theres the kung fu....that its real different...real strong..real accuarcy..speed.....power!!!.

and about the bone breaking techiniques...well...that depends a lot a bout the style...

and man...some times..there ara guys that doesnt need to do a tornado kick to prove they can do it...some times...you only need to see how they move..like this guy..look for "WuDang8 Immortal Staff "...

  • speed equals power

just by looking u can not feel the power but when u get hit by it or stand close to the person then u can feel the power

  • speed deffinatley equals power.

the faster you practice the faster you can defend yourself.

this women would easily defend herself in selfdefense

  • love long fist!!!!! :)

  • wow,very good!

  • omg here cheebu is very low, i wish i could do that.

  • yeeah she is the best

  • wow!!!

wish i could do that! =D

  • How can u not give this 5 stars.. I',m in love...

  • she is awesome.

liu qing hua is an amazing performer

  • Otimo nota 10 !!!

  • She's among the most skilled I've seen. Good balance, power, speed and control.

  • That's exactly,how i move,when i'm on speed. She's awesome.

  • wow

  • wonder

  • she is HOT!

  • I can tell by the force she generates when she moves that she has ridiculous leg muscles.

  • wushu gives you the lower body of a horse.. like, you feel like a minataur just walking around

  • and bodybuilding gives you the lowerbody of a dinosaur

  • I have a question, is wushu bodybuilding? I'm a bit confused (as I know very very little), but to me she does not seem to have a huge body, in fact, she seems slim and fit, the opposite of body building... so, back to my question...

  • Nope wushu isnt bodybuilding at all...Wushu is just chinese martial arts, and in modern times has come to be a sport. Bodybuilding is about building your muscles up and lowering your fat levels to extremely low proportions in order to see muscles under the skin. I think both are wushu and bodybuilding are artistic. But to be honest a bodybuilder is going to have stronger legs than a wushu practitioner. Olympic weightlifters have the strongest legs in the world though, id say

  • Wushu is martial art, its not body building, its an art, a sports.. it does not concentrate just on power/ strength training.

strength, speed, flexibility, acrobatics and creativity since they allowed composing your own routine in competition.

it also depends whether its northern or southern.

southenfocus more on ground, explosive, speed

northen more on flexibility, speed, and jumping/ flying skills

  • O MAN I LIKE MARTIAL ARTS!!!

  • What i mean to say is that with the exception of a couple of moves, all the non-jump techniques are actually very practical, It's just a matter of analyzing them correctly, that's all.

  • then,i just try to said that wushu have more run and high jumps like gymnastic, in comparison with other very traditional styles of kung fu, that's all

  • Well, just keep in mind that the contemporary forms are grounded in tradition, and that 95% of the techniques shown in there do have some practical application.

  • Despite this... er ji jiao is basic ji ben gong in mantis as well... and used to kick the chin and cause neck injury due to that. er ji jiao. But I would use a low kick in its place...

  • JIAYOU!! JIAYOU

  • Jia yuo!!

  • perfect!

  • Wow very nice form =)

  • yes bring back the old school stuff ! ;-)

  • Can we please do something other than a hammer fist and dan pai jiao, omg boring! Bring back the old school!

  • youre so right. old school was much better. the same with hip-hop =)

  • She is the Changquan

  • She is one with it.

  • very excellent ^^

  • That's a girl? whoa! I'd rather fight a tiger I'd have a better chance.

  • yeah! Mrs. Chak they call her! I can never figure that out either... I asked her and she said she's not sure why they do that. Pretty funny!

  • her stomp with fist clap is cool

  • my fave wushu athlete

  • The best female wushu athlete ever...

  • Hau Zhi Hua deserves that title, I think, though Coach Liu is a brilliant player and teacher!!! Her straightsword is certainly second-to-none.

  • HauZhi Hua I think is definitely better.. though I'm biased cuz I think eighties wushu is general is better. Has anyone seen "This is Kung Fu"? The english subbs keep calling HauZhi Hua 'Chak' hahahahaaaaa
