You are amazingly inspirational! Thank you for changing my life and the way I see art. I feel fresh, motivated and inspired. I am doing art. I'm 14 and I'm still not that good, but I try to improve. Art is my passion and my life. <3
Schoolism, is a major ripoff. I took a class, and it was way to much money, for what I got. You don't even get to keep the videos. It really sucks. They only let you watch the videos for a couple of weeks too. Also just on a side note, I met Booby Chui, and he is a total jerk unless he wants something from you (like your money).
I really like the art your making.... I would be interested in hearing about what your doing in the art. How your using layers, how your laying in color. Could really use some technical info. Your tips are good... like draw everyday and all... but to learn from you, we need to know what your doing instead of hearing a story about france or imagining ourselves... slacking or something.
He's mentioned in his other podcasts, that these videos aren't about teaching "how to draw" but advice on being an artist, ways of thinking etc. Only in his books does he give tips.
how about you explain what it is youre doing on the software ? I sure could use some tips on what type of brush, what setting of colors etc. Its more informative to understand how you're doing what youre doing..
PLEASE DON'T READ THIS. You will get kissed on the nearest possible Friday by the love of your life. Tomorrow will be the best day of your life. However, if you don't post this comment to at least 3 videos, you will die within 2 days. Copy and paste this, to be saved
Jeez, seeing how good a self-taught artist can become I'm totally...awestruck to say the least. This is the first time I'm watching one of your videos and I have to say you have lifted my spirits today. Wonderful art and inspirational words.
he makes his own mostly, but all you really need to draw is the hard round with some brush settings turned on(other dynamics and smoothing). Make sure the little drop down menus in the other dynamics windows are set to pen pressure as well. But really, it doesnt matter what brush he uses, hes makin it good because hes great at art!
but i forgot to mention hes using Alias sketchbook pro and not photoshop. the settings I said were in photoshop. But either way you can get the same results
First time of this video I thought you are talking about the well-known "blabla". But seriously, you are great and I will continue to work on myself on painting because of your words in this video. Thanks for your motivation!
jesus. this guy is full of himself. what an overly sensitive wuss. It's like "what me draw and while you do this, I will teach you wisdom of how you too may someday be as special as me". Get over yourself dude. Either teach your methods with drawing or become some new age preacher. What a douche bag.
Your wrong about Bobby man. He is not full of himself he just wants to inspire others into success. As far as "you too may someday be as special as me" Bobby isn't saying that. He has made it as a professional illustrator and wants to share some of his techniques on getting yourself to work hard to get to where YOU want to go, not where he went. I can tell that he honestly cares about other aside from himself, and want others to succeed.
You're just a shit stirrer. I know Bobby in person, and I can tell you that hes not even close to being a sensitive wuss. And hes NOT big on himself. Like Tozdel said, hes a professional who has made it and is actually shining some light on the world of illustration and has great words of wisdom. You probably have less than a quarter of the skill he has. You should listen, learn, and stfu.
you would be much less of a sour and angry slug if you had the same approach to life that Bobby does. What he's saying is all stuff that any sensible person knows they should be doing, but its encouraging to hear it from someone who has actualy take action to live by it and succeed.
Dajzilla, I can see by your profile that you gain the same respect for yourself that you give everyone else, you're the best living example of 'what goes around comes around' that I think I've ever seen. All you do is reinforce what bobby stands for, so thanks for inspiring us all.
Awesome Bobby. Thanks alot. About time someone put up a detailed digtial painting. I only request a full screen view so we can see the setting you're using on your program
As always.. great work and thanks for putting these up. I really appreciate it. I've learned so much from these podcasts. This one however.. your talking got me to zone out from the video, hahaha.. so I had to watch it over again.
my god i cant believe sum1 told ur frend to give up drawing! i swear if it was me i would have punched them in the face! anyway, thanks for sharing ur wisdom it really inspires me :D xxx
Hi Bobby! and Happy B-lated Birthday. I record your visualizations and listen to them over and over again. I'm seeing improvements in my own art. Thoughts are the hands of energy that mold our physical experience. Us artist love you...:)
I listened to your other stuff before but that last bit one really got to me,I have this friend in school we used to always put him down or sometimes talk shit about him, it doesn't happen as much anymore. but after hearing about what happened to you..damn..from now on I will definitely have a different view of him and others who I meet in the future.

Happy Birthday! Wow, the early part was so new agey! I did the sleepy time exercise and missed seeing the painting though. Great stories afterward. Yeah, I did the fanboy thing and got snubbed by a prominent artist five times! Thrice in person and twice in writing!
