What a mess. Tempo too fast, breaks unorganized, vocals a shouting match, lousy sound . . . just a waste of massive talent due probably to a hit or a drink too many before going onstage..
I swear paul butterfield has the coolest harp tone ever!!!!!! As far as white guys go the only other guy whos there with him is mic jagger. But what about jack bruce....a little robert plant maybe...
@MrJohntube12 add one more to that list, Bluesman Ron from Chicago, i was heavily influenced by Paul and Jack when i first picked up harp in 1969, and am STILL playing 42 years later. I modeled my style on Paul's one note playing, and have gotten to about as 2/3 as good as he was, still striving to get better, the key is to play from the heart
Saw this pair in Burlington, VT back in the early 80s. They were a bit worse for the wear, as I recall. But I never, ever missed Butterfield concert if it was within driving distance.
both these guys were know to rip/n/run this night was no dif I miss them both terribly!lay off that whiskey and let that cocaine beeee

This video captures Butterfield's sound on harp perfectly. What a powerful, commanding and compelling tone. He was the master after Little Walter.

@MrJohntube12 With all due respect, they were amateurs on the harp compared to paul Butterfield.
