OMG see this is why I love her. There are certainly others (not many) that can hit these notes aswell. But Kelly sings with so much soul and can belt them with clarity even, that it hits my stomach like a dip in a rollercoaster. Totally agree seriously underrated.

That's what happens when you strain! Vocal teachers will enforce relaxing your throat and pushing the air from your diaphragm, but when you are on the top of your register, it's easier said than done. lol Breathing is ESSENTIAL though! If you strain too much, u could wind up w/ a nodule and that's not fun...Try something a little lower and work your way up; much better than "blowing your pipes" lol Good luck

my bad, there's the chance that you write differently there in the US than we do here in Mexico... I just asked my vocal teacher and she said that it is possible... that's a logic explanation :p ha ha... I swear here, for example, the incredibly high note in Natural Woman sung by Kelly, thats a F#7 ... and I guess for you it is a F#6 ....

I guess I'll just have to get used to that if I go to the US someday to do my thing... lol...
