I was at the game too, truly the most memorable moment for me in Sharks history (except the Baker goal). Really appreciate you putting the KFOX audio in the background; Versus announcers are always horrible, regardless of the sport. Our radio voice does suck from time to time (as MiramonteSucks says), especially during plays when nothing's going on (and Rusanowski makes it seem more exciting than it is). But it's better than McSorely, who we had for TV when Rememda left us...
What are u talkin about, Ray Whitney's Double OT Game 7 Winning goal against the Flames back in 94 was the most memorable goal in Sharks History because of it's magnitude by a MILE! 2nd comes Baker's goal and then I guess Joe Pa's game winner.
first off, Baker's goal was in 94 and it is kind of special since it was the sharks' first ever playoff series win. Whitney's goal in 95 was special too, but comes in a close second.
I was at this game and I thought when the ref signaled no goal on the first disallowed goal it was like the Sharks just scored. I had never seen that place, myself included, erupt like that for a call. Wow, it was exciting. The only thing louder than that moment was the OT GW by Pavs.
LET'S GO SHARKS!! 2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs only days away!!
THe only Shark I met was Owen Nolan and another Shark (I think Marleau but can't be sure) I think he was with Marleau but not positive when I worked at the Tech Museum, it was the Tech's grand opening...I could have met Robin Williams, but my shift started just after he left!
Owen is really nice as was the other Shark that was with him. Only chatted a quick minute or two as they were in line, to get in and I was doing line control. Yep, the waited in line like anyone else.
I met Pavelski and asked him about that goal and he said it was the best feeling on a rink of his life. Joe is a helluva nice guy with a phenomenal shot. To the producer of this, its awesome that you had Rusanowsky radio commentary with the video footage. Great job with the synchronizing. GO SHARKS!!!!
The 1st disallowed goal was called for 2 reasons; 1. Morrow drag this foot to the net and caused the puck to go in. 2. He clearly interfered with Nabby.
The 2nd disallowed goal was called because he used his hand to redirect the puck into the net. Besides even Morrow knew that the goal wouldn't count so I don't know why u guys r bitching about and u still had a 2 goal lead and u still blew it. SO STOP BITCHING. all and all, great video. i only wish that Randy Hann and Drew Remenda did this.
in case you didn't read my post, i agree that the hand goal shouldn't have counted, the refs missed the cross check call though that would have allowed him to put it down and into the net...kind of hard considering all eyes were on the play.
Thats a good interpretation of the reason why they didn't call it, but the rule says he must use a DELIBERATE kicking motion to put the puck in the net.
Either way it was fun watching the awesome game last night, both goalies were awesome!!
Great move Stars fans. Instead of blaming your team for blowing 2 goal lead in the 3rd period and not even showing up in OT, no, u use the classic BITCH move and blame ur loss on the refs. Very good sportsmanship. I hope u lose the series. Just to c how u'll gonna blame the system.
I'm a Ducks fan, but flew up to the game because my father's a Sharks fan. I friggen hate Dallas, so of course I was rooting for the Sharks. Finally the Sharks played to their ability, albeit for 15 mins. Man if they played full games, they could absolutely destroy Dallas. What a beautiful comeback. That place was as loud as when the Ducks won the cup. I loved Morrow's "goal". Basically gloves the puck tosses it in, then pre-emptively puts his hands up to contest the washout. What a maroon.
you are ignorant, and I'm sorry you're a ducks fan. Lucky for the sharks, but the stars got screwed out of 2 goals. Morrow didn't kick the puck in the goal, thats a bullshit call. You're right though, morrow should have put the puck down and hit it in he obviously had plenty of time...oh wait thats right the guy crosschecked from behind, another blown call!
Yeah, it's a Toronto conspiracy! The 2nd goal was a joke, he clearly gloved it. If he was cross checked from behind, fine penalty shot. But bottome line is that "goal" was a joke. The first goal, you think was debatable because the refs picked him up dragging his back skate to push the puck in. It was also even more debatable that he backed right into Nabokov.
Sorry I'm a Ducks fan? Sorry that Steve "Claude Lemieux Ott is going to get pounded like Severyn did to Sydor years ago next season. Whether it be The Sherrif on the Avs, Jody Shelley, or Parros/May/Bert; Ott's got bills to pay. Someone is going to catch that gutless puke without zebras around.
i guess thats all you have to wait for then is next season...what happened this year, oh thats right the ducks got sent packing by the stars...i never said the gloving goal shouldn't have counted, he did glove it...they blew it however with the cross check call which caused him to throw it in. Look at the replay, if the guy wouldn't have hit him he would have clearly been able to get the puck in, he wasn't able to though (due to the cross-check) and therefore the goal doesn't count...
the rule states that he must make a deliberate kicking motion, which he didn't, morrow didn't even know it hit off his skate, look at his reaction. He acts surprised becuase he never made eye contact with the puck until he saw it in the net. Doesn't matter though, now we get to watch the Sharks get their ass kicked in dallas, just like the ducks!
shut up with your "blown" calls. the stars should never have gone up 3-0 because the sharks got royally screwed. oh and btw morrow did kick the puck in numbnuts. think before you call people ignorant.
stars are good. man i want to say that we won the game and what a comeback but at least one of those goals that were dissaloud should have been a goal. damn the stars are good
Those refs really do suck.

@jbobbster Anderi Zuzyin scored the only game winning goal in game 4 in overtime against Dallas (The first meeting) that tied the series.
