We are sending 100million to foreign countries like Bangladesh for the climate change bill. Our own ppl get 70million. We also send millions on top of that in aid.

Bangladesh has a bigger military than the Irish army, Pakistan has a nuclear weapons programme and India is sending rockets to the moon. Meanwhile we pay for their poor.

I'm from Canada - I'm reading a book right now called Dublin Tenement Life and it is a wriiten / oral history of people who grew up in the Liberties in the 20's and 30's. Thanks for posting this video now I can see what the Liberties actually look like.

Very very little of the Liberties looks like this nowadays. Whoever made this video went out of their way to find remaining images such as these. It's quite a sentimental view of the place to be honest. The reality is it's just as modern these days as anywhere else.

I'm originally from the Liberties, born in the Coombe Hospital. Search "Eamon Mac Thomais" on Youtube to see the Liberties of 30 or more years ago. Fantastic pre-Celtic Tiger footage. Dublin had not changed much at that time from the previous 50 years.
