  • Ngo Dinh Diem made a deal with the Devil and the Devil took his soul.

  • great repect for the bravery and cleverness of the "Viet Cong" (NLF).

a great video to show this.

  • Video nay, that la tuyet voi. Cam on dong chi VNTIGER !

  • this video is a great tribute

  • Dude you are an idiot. Bao Dai was a puppet to the French and was handed to America, then America helped Ngo Dinh Diem into presidency. He was a puppet to America from the start and how did he "stabilized" South Viet Nam? He was prejudice against Buddhism, his government was corrupted, people just outside of the city were eating off dirt to survive. His soldiers were under supplied that they had to steal food. There were constant riots against him on the street. He was FAR from being a "saint".

  • Of course he had a prejudice against Buddhism because he knew they were helping the NLF, but he was also backed into a wall because of the Kennedy administration telling him to back off the Buddhists. Tell me though, why don't you mention the suffering and starvation going on in North Vietnam as well? It DWARFED South Vietnam.

  • What are you talking about? Diem was a catholic loyalist! He despised any other religions. Viet Nam was a Buddhist country before French invasion. Most of the population is Buddhist, he could've negotiate with them to join his cause. You should watch documentary sometime and learn before you speak man. No one ever said north Viet Nam was rich and wealthy and how from just recovering French occupant. South wasn't better off either French returned after WII and stole all the rice from Viet people.

  • I never said he wasn't genius! I'm saying he was backed into a corner because the Buddhists were siding with the Communists, but in the meantime, the Kennedy administration was telling him to not retaliate against them. He was pushed into a corner by his own "ally."

Terrible thing the French did there.

  • I think you need to be more open minded. I think that you're "defending" the wrong side. My parents were villagers they were isolated and was cut off from our capital Saigon after Ngo Dinh Diem and left to starve. The ARVN would also come to our hamlets occasionally then questioned a lot of people and slowly they would kill one by one. We had no arms we were simple farmers. I wasn't born then but that was my mother childhood story. That is why I dispise the ARVN flag! search Agent Orange.

  • I think you need to be more open minded yourself. They're strategic hamlet campaign was a mess, I give you that, but are you honestly saying that they were worst than the Communists? You talk about Agent Orange, but at the time, it wasn't a known carcinogen. The ARVN itself was the one who disposed of Diem!

  • WTF are you talking about "WORST THAN COMMUNISTS"? I don't remember hearing about any "communist" coming into our village killing people for no reason. ARVN dispose of Diem? Are you sure? Man where do you get this information because they are so bias! America ordered Diems assassination because he couldn't keep the religion and civilian protesters under control which was destroying South Viet Nam's moral. South Viet Nam was an illegally made state which violated the Geneva Convention.

  • Diem did more to destabilize vietnam than stabalize it.

  • I'm an AMERICAN who applauds the NLF. Because I support the poor, the insulted and abused. I side with the modest, especially those who will stand up when attacked, and fight back against brutality.

Naturally, I am ashamed of what my country did in that sinful, brutal war.

There are plenty of others like me. Before I was born, when our reactionary leaders, in service to our corporate class, waged that nightmarish war, some fought openly in the streets with the police to end it.

  • oh shit so they use dumb bomb and make mines out of it?
