Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance makes me fee such emotion. Two events in particular are when Ranulf is revealed to be a laguz in Crimea, and when a refugee in Daein is talking with Jill about how the Crimeans are evil, how she refuses to take food from them, and how she intends to have her children and her children's children exact her "revenge".
@rufusfan I reset the game every time when somebody dies , not because I'm feeling guilty, but I want to have them all , I used even action replay, just to get the 3 laguz royales together
@rufusfan its possible to keep everyone alive throughout the whole game (for me, it was extremely easy). Just bench or keep weak allies away from enemies (definitely bench weak people on the chapter with the falling rocks. Otherwise, use a healer to...heal people).
This song really fits in the end of chapter seven when Greil realizes that confronting the Black Knight is unavoidable, and he has no choice but face him.
Dang, these people know how to make a gamer feel guilty. The one time I lost a unit and was about to leave him behind, this song started playing and I immediately reset the game to go back for him.
I thought that only ever happened at the beginning of the game. After my first time playing, which was my first time playing any FE game, I decided not to allow any character to stay dead since certain chapters (especially 8, which caused me to restart the game) became nearly impossible without certain characters. Only exception to this is on my first full playthrough, on Normal, where Mordecai got killed by Ashnard, I think.
Next time I play, I'm gonna have to try this with an alternate save.
That's very true. I was very sad to see what happened to her in Radiant Dawn, though. One of my favorite units from Path of Radiance became so hard to use that I was forced to give up on attempting to use her in the sequel...
yeah, a lot of laguz sucked. Only the kings were good, and giffca. I cant wait to play the second game again, my friend has it, while i have PoR. I made the perfect file to make the game even better.
That, I'm gonna have to disagree with you on. In my opinion, Ranulf, Volug, Janaff, and Ulki were all VERY good units, even on Hard Mode. Skrimir was also pretty good, too. Mordecai was alright, if only for his high defense, which helped a lot in Part 4. Lethe is alright in the first few chapters you can use her, but Cats revert to their human state too quickly and laguz level up too slowly. Nasir is useful because he's magic based and White Tide is useful.
Gareth would've been good if he had come a lot earlier. Muarim's not the best when he comes back, but he's usable to an extent. The Heron were extremely valuable in this game, though Reyson was easily the most useful.
Lyre, Vika, and Kyza can go straight to hell, though. Outside of their Tide skills, Ena and Kurthnaga can burn right alongside them.
no way, i used only beorcs and kings. I consider Heron royality, of course (though leanne sucked balls, rafiel and reyson were so damn useful). Skrimir was good, except it took forever for him to change. Kurth wasnt that bad, at least enemies didnt attack him. Ena was trash.....no trash is too good for her. I think reyson could kill someone before Ena could. I wish muarim had the demi band, thats what made him so good in the first game. all in all, laquz in no.2 suck unless is they were kings
I agree with you completely. And i didnt use laguz in radiant dawn because when they transformed they would shift back too quickly. when they weren't in animal form their stats were TERRIBLE. which means they were easy to kill. The laguz kings were awesome tho.
This is, hands down, my favorite theme in the entire game. While I kinda wish it were played more often, I'm glad that the effect of the song isn't cheapened by doing so. It was always played at the best times.
These games sure know how to make you feel guilty.
Congratulations, you completed the chapter by killing one of your crew's father who was fighting against his will! Here's some sad music to accompany the destructive conclusion.
I remember this tune. It was when the Daein villagers 'warned Jill' to stay away from the Crimeans, and then Ike felt bad for destroying the lives of innocents to reclaim his homeland. *sniff*
This also plays in the conversations after the final battle with the Black Knight, regardless of whether or not Ike succeeded. It's one of my favorite themes. =D
I swear, someone disliked this when I liked this.

MrLP1138 1 month ago
Well, you successfully defeated the enemy, but it cost you one or more of your dear friends.
Are you proud of yourself?

Man this song can hit home, espcially when you get through a tough bit and this starts playing, making you realize you still have a long ways to go.

This music..... It reminds me...... OF FIRE EMBLEM 7!
The beginning sounds similar to a certain track in that game.

Ok, I don't find it sad, I admit. I find it heroic, and inspiring, not sad!

@mewpsypokes ikr?! certain parts are sad, while others sound heroic, though.

Personally, this is my favorite video game song. Beautifull, somehow climatic, sad, perfect!

It plays at sad moments after missions. Like when you win but are still being chased not when someone dies.....

Ugh, yes. Me too.
But.
This also gave me serious chills and actually put tears in my eyes when I defeated the Black Knight. That's what I remember this theme for.
This is one of my favorites.. it's one of the most emotion-packed themes in the game.
That's what this game is so good for. Every emotion is strongly felt. I'm playing through again right now and I cried when Greil died.
