Thanks for posting. My father raced FV at Holtville, in the late 60's, and maybe into the early 70's. I wasn't born yet. He drove a McKnight chassis. I have a San Diego Region checkered flag he won hanging on my wall.
I raced FV there in the 90s with SCCA. It is an airfield with nothing else for miles in the desert. The surface is concrete with a "bump" every 50 feet or so. In a vee, it is thump, thump, thump, thump for the whole race. I even got rained on there in a race in about 1993.

Yes, this is from the old HAIR (aerodrome) days. Not sure of the exact date, but it was probably the winter series '73 or '74.
