@SpencerBoechlerTV There is no auto tune. When he was younger, he had problems with sleeping. He would record music in his parent's basement with some simple stuff he happened to have. He got a crazy big Myspace following from this music, then he got signed.

It is Adam Young. Just like bands you like still retain their name even when a key singer or drummer leaves, Adam Young is still Adam Young even when he uses a different musical style.

Sky Sailing is more acoustic than Owl City. The albums "Ocean Eyes" and "Maybe I'm Dreaming" are under the "Owl City" moniker, but everything is still all Adam Young.

He's Awesome. :)

Adam Young is the musician. Owl City, Sky Sailing, etc are projects of his. He releases his albums under the project title, so it plays the role of the band name on the album, but that just denotes the different styles he uses. Owl City and Sky Sailing are obviously different in the amount of synth and acoustic used. It's still Adam Young. So when he releases his Christian Album (see the front page of his website right now), it'll be interesting to see what he calls himself. :)

@pwells19 That's not true. This is not Owl City it's Sky Sailing. They are two different bands or projects as he calls them. Sky Sailing uses more guitar other instruments than Owl City doe. All of Owl City's projects are different. They're not Owl CIty with a different name. Sky Sailing, Port Blue, WIndsor Airlift, and others are not Owl City. Look up the difference between Sky Sailing and Owl City on wikipedia and you'll understand.

@pwells19 Actually you are right but some are new too, the biggest difference is if you notice there is acoustic in about every single sky sailing song, whereas owl city is more techno beats, I know they are both Adam, but sky sailing has much most guitar, most noticeably in explorers
