    @MarriedtoaPineapple:

if the tie rod breaks, the whell can steer in every direction by itself. i think you could control your car with the wheel on the other side if you react with it fast but you have to tow your car away after this. so you should repair it before it cracks. after the repair of the tie rod you have to go to the repair shop to adjust the ?trace/track/vestige?. sorry for my bad english ;)

  • thank you very much! i'll give it a try

  • Excellent video.

  • Wow. Way to go. F. marking the spot where the old tie-rod end was. *Spins the tie-rod end off* "make sure the nut is loose" *dials the lock-nut 'x' turns out.* Wow. Good job.

  • They make it look wait to easy! Geez I just paid $154 for some guy to do the same thing!

  • @WynterKA I'm pretty sure what you paid for was the alignment added to that because it throws it out when you change the tie rod

  • I could have done that in half the time...lol

  • really jackass you just slide the boot off and remove the inner tie rod end? Why do fucking morons keep posting bullshit like this and give people bad ideas?

  • @HunterCO1 What's with you being 42 years old; acting and talking like a teenager? Good gosh! Pull the sticks out of your ass dude!

  • @novakane87 I got a better idea little boy why not dispute what I said? or do you just run around and proclaim you are an expert by all means dispute what I said?

  • @HunterCO1 You just BS'd the University Motors Ltd. who was founded in 1975. It looks as though you are describing yourself! "run around and proclaim you are and expert" I suppose you know more than them, right? Obviously you seem to think so judging by your repulsive comment .....

  • @novakane87 jackass I asked you to dispute my comment not a history lesson on the dipshits in the video. So once again I will ask you to respond to my comment and not avoid the question I asked!!

For the record I am and expert and will back it up that being said answer me or shut the fuck up rather than make your self look like a bigger didpshit than you already have.

  • @HunterCO1 There is nothing of substance to dispute in your original comment. It is only indisputably your ass of an opinion. -Which no one appreciates.

  • @novakane87 reading comprehension is fundamental...........Just admit it you have no idea WTF your talking about it is very obvious to anybody that has ever done it for a living!

  • @HunterCO1 I haven't even talked about the material this video covers. Reading comprehension is something you obviously never conquerd judging by your language and writing ability. That is obvious.

  • @novakane87 Lol.. says 'conquerd ' as he tells people they don't know how to write.

  • @Nate9667 yeah, I tend to get more stupid the more I talk to stupid people...go figure...

  • When installing the new tie rod end, how do you stop the bolt (ball pin) from spinning when tightening the lock nut?

  • pretty sure they sell a PULLER for those buddy

  • @pyros46290 Thats actually the most efficent way to remove a ball joint. Any mechanic will tell you this

  • Not the best way to split a taper lock joint...

  • my customers are getting smarter with all of this videos, now I can,t rip.em off so easy anymore DAMMM

  • thanks for this video it really helped alot

  • My mechanic want's to charge me $900 for changing just the tie rod. I hear you say RUN!. wow.. Thank you so much!

  • goodd vid thanx fast too

  • damit they said they would change them.. how do you put a new one on!?!? i can't crack the new one back into place damit!!

  • Very helpful, you guys are good, Thanks

  • You guys Rock!!!!!

  • damn my 1990 integra jam nut would not budge.....and my tie rod wont rotate loose also...any ideas?

  • Thanks for posting this, I was able to use this for my 76 MG Midget and it worked wonderfully!

  • That sell a tool that looks like a two tonged fork to jam in there to take them off, instead of jamming it with a rod.

  • They call 'em pickle forks.

  • @dcbatz Those tools sometimes damage the rubber seal.

  • Thanks!

  • Very Nice vid guys!

  • Probably better off just getting a new rack and pinion...I dunno how much they go for re manufactured for a '59 impala, but for my '88 mustang they're $71 after returning the core.

  • awesome detailed video 5 stars. thank you and much respect from Chicago =)

  • Sweet, for some reason I didn't think that was gonna work and bam, ju7st a couple of hits and have pressure on the tie made it pop out, great jobs guys on the video. 5 stars and subscribing.

  • i got a qusetion, when my steering wheel is st8 both my tie rod end is point out toward the out side of the car is it suppose to be vertical when the steering wheel is st8

  • just a suggestion for those changing tie rod ends and lower arms with balljoint - there are several tools made specifically for doing this by Toledo, you can order them at your local Repco (NZ). i recommend part number 311274

  • awesome man thanks for getting us liberated from the rip off workshop down here in new zealand.:)

  • good explanation guys

  • very clear instructions. Thats whats up!

  • Terrific John!! No wonder I had problems. I was hitting the tie rod end instead of the steering arm. Thanks for the great advice. Hope you make it to Carlisle. Gary

  • thanks!!!

  • You Make it so easy and after I tried this method I find it is that easy. Your Vidoe Clips are Great. I thank you and so does my 1953 MG-TD

  • Thank you i'm about to do my first one and this was much better at giving me an idea of what to do than a book. Great video thanks for posting.

  • Thanks a million guys. I never thought that I could fix my tie rod ends. But after watching you guys, I changed my tie rods in a matter of a few hours. Thanks again, guys.

  • wow. I just thought my steering wheel needed to be tightened..But 3 of the 4 tie rods were damaged.

  • Just a word of thanks for doing these for us.

  • OOOOH A MIDGET I LOVE THAT!!!. this wil help a lot. Now could you please show me how to adjust the ball joint on the inner tie rod end where it attaches to the rack? I know there are shims in there that can be removed/replaced but how do you get the den thing apart? Also please show us the proper way to replace the swivel axel bushings.
